Wide-speed-range gliding vehicle(WSRGV) is designed to adapt to the variable cruising environment that hypersonic vehicles will encounter during the mission implementation. Based on the cone-derived theory, a novel design technique of WSRGV has been developed. Theoretically, the functional relationship between cone-derived waverider’s volumetric efficiency and its design Mach number can be built through sampling approach as long as the geometries of design conical shock wave and the upper base curve are fixed. Based on the functional relationship, a cone-derived waverider that owns the same volumetric efficiency with a giving WSRGV can be acquired. This paper compared the aerodynamic performance between WSRGV and the cone-derived waverider sharing the same volumetric efficiency in a wide Mach number range. Their aerodynamic properties versus angle of attack have also been compared under the waverider’s design Mach number. The obtained result shows that WSRGV shares similar aerodynamic performance with the cone-derived waverider with the same volumetric efficiency. The aero-surfaces in the margin area of this kind of configuration have a larger contribution to the lift-to-drag ratio in comparison with the aero-surfaces in the central area. The configuration with a thick central body and thin margin place owns not only better aerodynamic performance but also better loading property.

Adaption of circadian rhythms in behavioral and physiological activities to the external light–dark cycle is achieved through the main clock, i.e., the suprachiasmatic nucleus(SCN) of the brain in mammals. It has been found that the SCN neurons differ in the amplitude relaxation rate, which represents the rigidity of the neurons to the external amplitude disturbance. Thus far, the appearance of that difference has not been explained. In the present study, an alternative explanation based on the Poincare′ model is given which takes into account the effect of the difference in the entrainment range of the SCN. Both our simulation results and theoretical analyses show that the largest entrainment range is obtained with suitable difference in the case that only a part of SCN neurons are sensitive to the light information. Our findings may give an alternative explanation for the appearance of that difference(heterogeneity) and shed light on the effects of the heterogeneity in the neuronal properties on the collective behaviors of the SCN neurons.

Spontaneous combustion influenced by surface methane drainage and its prediction by rescaled range analysis

This study established numerical modeling using COMSOLTMto examine the influence of horizontal location and drainage ability of surface borehole on spontaneous combustion in longwall working face gob. Rescaled range Analysis(R/S analysis) was employed to investigate the chaos characteristic of N_2/O_2 ratio from a surface borehole in 10416 working face gob, Yangliu Colliery, China. The simulation results show that there is always a circular ‘‘dissipation zone" around the drainage borehole and an elliptic ‘‘spontaneous combustion zone" in deep gob. Little influence was found on spontaneous combustion zone on the intake side of the gob but the width of spontaneous combustion zone in middle gob is enlarged, while the depth of spontaneous combustion zone near the return side is reduced. The R/S analysis indicates that the influence of surface borehole on spontaneous combustion can be divided into two stages by the chaos feature of N_2/O_2: safety drainage stage and spontaneous combustion initiating stage. It can be concluded that the methane drainage from gob through surface borehole can intervene in the distribution of spontaneous combustion zone in gob and the chaos feature of N_2/O_2 from surface borehole can effectively reflect coal spontaneous combustion condition in gob.

Jet breakup and dispersion from impact sprinkler are mainly influenced by the configurations of nozzle and dispersion *** on the structure,different types of nozzles were designed and tested with a pointed tip dispersion device under low pressure *** were performed using High-Speed Photographic technique,and Matlab computation program was established and applied to determine the initial jet breakup length and angle of dispersion from the *** sprinkler range decreased with the increase in diameter of nozzle,and the largest range of 15.1 m was produced from sprinkler with 6 mm nozzle size under a pressure of 150 *** angle of dispersion decreased with the increase of jet velocity,the spray coverage from sprinkler with 6 mm nozzle size was 1478 mm under 150 kPa,and was not statistically different when the pressure was increased.A new range formula was established for sprinkler with dispersion device through curve fitting of the parameters of initial jet breakup length,angle of dispersion,nozzle size and working *** new formula was reliable for calculating range with a relative error less than 3%.Since the formula is based on the angle of dispersion,it could be useful to estimate uniformity of water distribution in sprinkler irrigated fields.

Breakdown characteristics of CF4 and CF4/N2 hybrid gas in refrigeration temperature range

Common insulation gas cannot normally work in refrigeration temperature range(153-243 K), especially in extremely cold regions. To solve this problem, this essay uses cubic equation combined with two-parameter model in theorem of corresponding states to estimate dew-point of hybrid gas. The influence of temperature on mixing ratio is studied by using van der Waals equation. The result shows that the mixing ratio is stable during temperature-fall period. Insulation property of CF_4 and CF_4/N_2 in refrigeration temperature range is studied through self-designed low-temperature test system. The result shows when the density of hybrid gas is invariable, temperature changing has less influence on breakdown voltage, and when the mixing ratio is 20%, CF_4/N_2 is the greatest potential hybrid gas.

In this paper, we establish some range inclusion theorems for non-archimedean Banach spaces over general valued fields. These theorems provide close relationship among range inclusion, majorization and factorization for bounded linear operators. It is found that these results depend strongly on a continuous extension property, which is always true in the classical archimedean case, but may fail to hold for the non-archimedean setting. Several counterexamples are given to show that our results are sharp in some sense.

Geology, Mineralization, Fluid Inclusion and Stable Isotope of the Early Cretaceous Sn and Associated Metal Deposits in the Southern Great Xing’an range, NE China: A Review

The Southern Great Xing’an range(SGXR) hosts a number of Early Cretaceous Sn and associated metal deposits, which can be divided into three principal types according to their geological characteristics: skarn type deposits, porphyry type deposits and hydrothermal vein type deposits. Fluid inclusion assemblages of different types of deposits are quite different, which represent the complexities of metallogenic process and formation mechanism. CH4 and CO2 have been detected in fluid inclusions from some of deposits, indicating that the ore-forming fluids are affected by materials of Permian strata. Hydrogen and oxygen isotope data from ore minerals and associated gangue minerals indicate that the initial ore fluids were dominated by magmatic waters, some of which had clearly exchanged oxygen with wall rocks during their passage through the strata. The narrow range for the δ34S values presumably reflects the corresponding uniformity of the ore forming fluids, and these δ34S values have been interpreted to reflect magmatic sources for the sulfur. The comparation between lead isotope ratios of ore minerals and different geological units’ also reveals that deeply seated magma has been a significant source of lead in the ores.

Design of wide-range energy material beamline at the Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility

We report the design of a wide-range energy material beamline(E-line) with multiple experimental techniques at the Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation *** undulators consisted of an elliptically polarizing undulator and in-vacuum undulator that generate the soft and hard X-rays, respectively. The beamline covered a wide energy range from 130 to 18 ke V with both a high photon flux([ 10^(12) phs/s with exit silt 30 lm in soft X-ray and [ 5 9 10^(12) phs/s in hard X-ray within 0.1%BW bandwidth) and promising resolving power(maximum E/DE [ 15,000 in soft X-ray with exit silt 30 lm and [6000 in hard X-ray). Moreover, the beam spots from the soft and hard X-rays were focused to the same sample position with a high overlap ratio, so that the surfaces, interfaces, and bulk properties were characterized in situ by changing the probing depth.
