Spatiotemporal information,positioning and navigation services have become important elements of new type infrastructure.The rapid development of global digital trade provides a large-scale application scenario for the use of Beidou Navigation Satellite System(BDS)spatiotemporal information to support the certification of origin of agricultural products.The BDS spatiotemporal information agricultural product digital credit system uses such modules as BDS,spatiotemporal information collection,spatiotemporal coding,and spatiotemporal blockchain.It incorporates multi-level joint supervision mechanisms such as government,associations,and users.Starting from the initial production link of agricultural products,it realizes the correspondence and locking of online and offline products,effectively improves the integrity and credibility of information in the production process,finished product quality and circulation process of products,effectively manages the green production and anti-channel conflicts of producers,and provides credible information for consumers,thus realizing the digital credit certification of products.The successful practice of characteristic agricultural products in Yunnan Province has verified the application ability of the BDS spatiotemporal information agricultural product digital credit system.This system has played a significant role in promoting the online and offline locking,credible information,effective supervision and high quality and high price of characteristic agricultural products from the field.The BDS provides services for global digital trade and contributes to the further enhancement of the global application scale of GNSS.

Introduction: Vaginal practices include washing, altering, cutting, cleaning, enhancing, drying, tightening, lubricating, or loosening of the vagina, labia, clitoris, or hymen. This study aimed to investigate the different vaginal practices of women using non-pharmaceutical products. Methodology: This was a cross-sectional study with descriptive and analytical purposes that took place from January 15 to April 23, 2023, in the four largest markets in the municipality of Ouagadougou. This was performed using the data collection sheet in the KoboCollect application. Epi info 7.***.5.0. software was used for data analysis. For the analysis of associated factors, a p-value Results: In total, 977 women were surveyed. Among them, 43.19% underwent vaginal procedures using non-pharmaceutical products. The female practitioners were 34.34 ± 7.44 years old. The products used included plants, mineral substances, ointments, tablets, and solutions. Among the practicing women, 40.99% were looking for vaginal tightening. The main purpose was to maintain their partners (45.97%). Three-point thirty-two percent (3.32%) of the women who underwent vaginal procedures had reported adverse events. Conclusion: Raising awareness of the consequences of vaginal practices and encouraging women to go to a health center for any gynecological problem could significantly reduce the prevalence of vaginal practices.

Photodegradation of soluble microbial products(SMPs) from membrane bioreactor by GO-COOH/TiO2/Ag

This study aimed to explore a new degradation method-photocatalysis technology to polish membrane bioreactor(MBR) effluent, using 2,6-di-tert-butylphenol(2,6-DTBP) as a model soluble microbial product(SMP).2,6-DTBP is one of the predominant SMPs in MBR effluent, which is refractory and difficult to biodegrade.This study developed a novel carboxylated graphene oxide/titanium dioxide/silver(GO-COOH/TiO2/Ag) nanocomposite to photodegrade 2,6-DTBP.GO-COOH/TiO2/Ag was successfully synthesized, using L-cysteine as the linker bonding TiO2/Ag to GO-COOH.The structural, morphological and optical properties of the GO-COOH/TiO2/Ag nanocomposite were characterized using various techniques.Owing to synergistic effects, the GO-COOH/TiO2/Ag nanocomposite exhibited enhanced photocatalytic degradation performance under solar light irradiation when compared to TiO2, Ag and GO-COOH.To remove 25 mg/L 2,6-DTBP, the reaction time for GOCOOH/TiO2/Ag was only 30 min, faster than the 90 min required for pure TiO2 or Ag.In addition, the 200 mg/L GO-COOH/TiO2/Ag nanocomposite aqueous solution showed the best performance under solar light, with 99% removal of 2,6-DTBP.This enhanced capability is likely due to the surface plasmon resonance(SPR) effect contributed by Ag nanoparticles(NPs) doped onto the TiO2.In addition, GO-COOH had a high effective surface area, which assisted in degrading the 2,6-DTBP through improved adsorption.The stability study showed that the photocatalytic activity of the GO-COOH/TiO2/Ag was stable enough for recycling multiple times.The effective degradation performance and excellent stability demonstrates that the GO-COOH/TiO2/Ag nanocomposite can be a promising photocatalyst in the field of effluent SMP photodegradation, which solves the problem of the difficult biodegradation of highly toxic 2,6-DTBP.

Importance of nutrient availability for soluble microbial products formation during a famine period of activated sludge:Evidence from multiple analyses

Much remains unknown about compositional variations in soluble microbial products(SMP)with the shift of the substrate condition from a feast to a famine phase in biological treatment systems.This study demonstrated that the formation of SMP could be suppressed by up to 75%during the famine phase with the addition of essential nutrients.In contrast,presence of electron acceptor did not play any significant role during the stress condition,showing the similar amounts of SMP(r=0.98,p0.95).The fluorescence excitation-emission matrix coupled with parallel factor analysis(EEM-PARAFAC)revealed the presence of four different fluorescent components,including two protein-like(C1 and C4),fulvic-like(C2),and humic-like(C3)components,in the SMP and bEPS formed at different conditions.Both C1 and C4 showed increasing trends(R^2>0.95)with the length of starvation in the bioreactors without essential nutrients.Nutrient availability was found to be a key factor to quench the production of large-sized biopolymers.This study provides a wealth of information on operation conditions of activated sludge treatment systems to minimize large sized SMP molecules(particularly proteins),which typically exert many environmental concerns to effluent organic matter quality.

A stability-indicating LC–MS/MS method for zidovudine: Identification,characterization and toxicity prediction of two major acid degradation products

Zidvovudine(AZT) is a nucleoside analogue reverse transcriptase inhibitor(NRTI), a class of anti-retroviral drug. A stability-indicating assay method for AZT was developed in line with ICH guideline. Successful separation of AZT and its degradation products was achieved by gradient elution mode on reverse phase C_(18) column using 10 mM ammonium acetate: acetonitrile as the mobile phase at 0.8 mL/min flow rate, 25 μL injection volume, 30 °C column temperature and 285 nm detection wavelength. Two major acid degradation products were identified and characterized by liquid chromatography–electrospray ionization mass spectrometry(LC–ESI/MS/MS) and accurate mass measurements. The probable mechanisms for the formation of degradation products were identified based on a comparison of the fragmentation pattern of the [M + H]^+ions of AZT and its degradation products. One of the degradation products, DP-1, was isolated by semi-preparative high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) using Waters XBridge Prep C_(18)(250 mm×10 mm, 5 μm).Degradation products showed higher toxicity compared to the drug in some models assessed by TOPKAT software. The method validation was performed with respect to robustness, specificity, linearity, precision and accuracy as per ICH guideline Q2(R1).

Degradation rates and products of fluticasone propionate in alkaline solutions

The apparent degradation rate constant of fluticasone propionate(FLT) in 0.1 M NaOH:methanol=1:1 at 37 °C was previously reported to be 0.169 ± 0.003 h^(-1), and four degradation products(products 1–4) were observed in the solution. The aims of the present study were to assess the degradation rates of FLT in other alkaline solutions and clarify the chemical structures of the four degradation products in order to obtain basic data for designing an enema for inflammatory bowel disease. The apparent degradation rate constants in 0.05 M NaOH and 0.1 M NaOH:CH_3CN=1:1 were 0.472 ± 0.013 h^(-1) and 0.154 ± 0.000 h^(-1)(n=3), respectively. The chemical structures of products 1–4 in 0.1 M NaOH:methanol=1:1 were revealed by nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)and mass spectrometry data. The chemical structure of products 2 was that the 17-position of the thioester moiety of FLT was substituted by a carboxylic acid. The degradation product in 0.1 M NaOH:CH_3CN=1:1 was found to be product 2 based on ~1H NMR data. The degradation product in 0.05 M NaOH was considered to be product 2 based on the retention time of HPLC. These results are useful for detecting the degradation products of FLT by enzymes of the intestinal bacterial flora in the large intestine after dosing FLT as an enema.

Exploring the efficacy of natural products in alleviating Alzheimer’s disease

Alzheimer's disease (hereafter AD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder that affects the central nervous system. There are multiple factors that cause AD, viz., accumulation of extracellular Amyloid-beta 42 plaques, intracellular hyper-phosphorylated Tau tangles, generation of reactive oxygen species due to mitochondrial dysfunction and genetic mutations. The plaques and tau tangles trigger aberrant signaling, which eventually cause cell death of the neurons. As a result, there is shrinkage of brain, cogrdtive defects, behavioral and psychological problems. To date, there is no direct cure for AD. Thus, scientists have been testing various strategies like screening for the small inhibitor molecule library or natural products that may block or prevent onset of AD. Historically, natural products have been used in many cultures for the treatment of various diseases. The research on natural products have gained importance as the active compounds extracted from them have medicinal values with reduced side effects, and they are bioavailable. The natural products may target the proteins or members of signaling pathways that get altered in specific diseases. Many natural products are being tested in various animal model systems for their role as a potential therapeutic target for AD, and to address questions about how these natural products can rescue AD or other neurodegenerative disorders. Some of these products are in clinical trials and results are promising because of their neuroprotective, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-amyloidogenic, anticholinesterase activities and easy availability. This review summarizes the use of animal model systems to identify natural products, which may serve as potential therapeutic targets for AD.

Clinical Utility of the Ratio Between Circulating Fibrinogen and Fibrin （ogen） Degradation products for Evaluating Coronary Artery Disease in Type 2 Diabetic Patients

Background:We investigated whether and to what extent the ratio between circulating fibrinogen (Fg) and its degradation products (FDP)reflects the severity of coronary artery disease (CAD) in type 2 diabetic patients.Methods:Plasma levels of Fg and FDP were determined,and Fg/FDP ratio was calculated in 344 consecutive patients with type 2 diabetes and chest pain on exertion undergoing coronary angiography.The severity of CAD was evaluated by the number of significant CAD (＞50％ luminal diameter narrowing) and Gensini score.Results:Plasma Fg was higher,but Fg/FDP ratio was lower in patients with significant CAD (n =255) compared with those without (n =89),due to a disproportionate increase in FDP.Fg and FDP correlated positively,while Fg/FDP ratio negatively,with the number of diseased coronary arteries and the tertile of Gensini score (all P values for trend ＜ 0.01).After adjusting for age,sex,risk factors for CAD,lipid profiles,glycosylated hemoglobin A1c,creatinine,leukocyte count,and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein,Fg/FDP ratio remained an independent determinant for multivessel coronary disease (MVD) (odds ratio [OR],0.869; 95％ confidence interval [CI],0.788-0.958,P =0.005) and high tertile of Gensini score (OR,0.797,95％ CI,0.682-0.930,P =0.004).The area under the curve of Fg/FDP ratio was larger than that of Fg for predicting the presence of MVD (0.647 vs.0.563,P =0.048) and Gensini score ≥ 30 (0.656 vs.0.53 8,P =0.026).Conclusions:Elevated plasma Fg and FDP level and reduced Fg/FDP ratio are associated with presence of CAD,and Fg/FDP ratio is superior to Fg in reflecting severe coronary atherosclerosis for patients with type 2 diabetes.

Nature brings new avenues to the therapy of central nervous system diseases——an overview of possible treatments derived from natural products

Natural products(NPs), including traditional Chinese medicine(TCM), have been long and widely used in the prevention and treatment of central nervous system(CNS) diseases by virtue of their abundant sources, diverse structures, and novel activities.In this review article, we intend to summarize and discuss the situation or status of the clinical employments or trials of the NPs and their derivatives with CNS activities. NPs that have been extensively studied in preclinical research in recent years are also included. The compounds presented in this review are classified according to their indications and followed by details such as natural sources, possible biological mechanisms, and development status, while a considerable proportion of them are found in TCM. In addition, some drug combinations with synergistic effects are also mentioned. According to their impressive therapeutic effects and novel chemical structures, NPs are not only effective therapeutic remedies in clinic, but also lead compounds for structural modification, which indicate that nature brings new avenues to the therapy of CNS diseases.

Advanced natural products chemistry research in China between 2015 and 2017

In this review, we intensively focus on the advances in research of natural products(NPs) discovery carried out by domestic scholars in China from 2015 through 2017. In general, a total of 1811 publications(1479 in English and 332 in Chinese) were accumulated regarding newly isolated NPs from plants, microorganisms, and marine sources. As a result, 277 selected papers concerning naturally occurring compounds with extraordinary frameworks, origins, and promising activities were discussed in this review article, mainly organized according to their structural classes and novelties.
