We present an approach of second harmonic generation for edge localization of nano-scale defects measurement,based on the impact of the oscillating tip on the sample that induces higher harmonics of the excitation *** harmonic signals of tip motion are measured by the heterodyne *** edge amplitude ratio for the edge characterization can be calculated by a mechanics model and the threshold of edge localization is experimentally determined by second harmonic *** approach has been successfully utilized to measure the pitch of a standard *** results show that the second harmonic is sensitive to locating the edge of nano-scale defects with high accuracy.

Summary of main observation and con elusion In this work,a new simple and readily synthesized turn-on probe 2-(4-anthracene-9-yl-phenyl)-2H-[l,2,3]triazole-4-carbaldehyde(APTC)was legitimately designed towards homocysteine(Hcy).Moreover,APTC has excellent optical properties such as intramolecular charge transfer(ICT)and aggregation induced emission enhancement(AIEE)characteristics,indicating its extensive application ***'s more,APTC displayed rapid,high selectivity and specificity towards homocysteine over cysteine/*** detection limit of APTC for Hcy was as low as 2.198×10^-8 mol·L^-1,and the response time was only 5 *** has been successfully applied to detect Hcy in silica gel plates and living cells,which indicates that APTC has good stability and biocompatibility as a selective probe for ***,the mechanism was studied using 1H NMR titration experiments and mass spectrometry.

Surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy(SERS)is a powerful sensing technique capable of capturing ultrasensitive fingerprint signal of analytes with extremely low ***,conventional SERS probes are passive nanoparticles which are usually massively applied for biochemical sensing,lacking controllability and adaptability for precise and targeted sensing at a small ***,we report a“rod-like”magnetic nanomotor-based SERS probe(MNM-SP)that integrates a mobile and controllable platform of micro-/nanomotors with a SERS sensing ***“rod-like”structure is prepared by coating a thin layer of silica onto the self-assembled magnetic ***,SERS hotspots of silver nanoparticles(AgNPs)are decorated as detecting *** MNM-SPs can be navigated on-demand to avoid obstacles and target sensing sites by the guidance of an external gradient magnetic *** applying a rotating magnetic field,the MNM-SPs can actively rotate to efficiently stir and mix surrounding fluid and thus contact with analytes quickly for SERS ***,we demonstrate the self-cleaning capability of the MNM-SPs which can be used to overcome the contamination problem of traditional single-use SERS ***,the MNM-SPs could precisely approach the targeted single cell and then enter into the cell by *** is worth mentioning that by the effective mixing of intracellular biocomponents,much more informative Raman signals with improved signal-to-noise ratio can be captured after active ***,the demonstrated magnetically activated MNM-SPs that are endowed with SERS sensing capability pave way to the future development of smart sensing probes with maneuverability for biochemical analysis at the micro-/nanoscale.

Biothiols such as cysteine(Cys),homocysteine(Hcy)and glutathione(GSH)act as critical roles in maintaining biological redox homeostasis,which is crucial for a plenty of physiological and pathological ***,the detection of biothiols is very important and beneficial for many ***,we have designed and developed a new crystal dimethyl 4-(2,4-dinitrophenylsulfonyloxy)pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylate(P)with 2,4-dinitrobenzene-1-sulfonyl(DNBS)pendant for light-up and detection of biothiols(Cys was selected as the analyte model).The fluorescence"off-on"switch is triggered by the cleavage of DNBS unit by the interaction with biothiols via nucleophilic aromatic substitution *** turn-on fluorescent probe exhibited excellent selectivity and sensitivity toward biothiols.

Granulitic lunar meteorites offer rare insights into the timing and nature of igneous,metamorphic and impact processes in the lunar *** dating the different events recorded by these materials is very challenging,however,due to low trace element abundances (***,Nd,Lu,Hf),rare micrometerscale U-Th-bearing accessory minerals,and disturbed Ar-Ar systematics following a multi-stage history of shock and thermal *** we report on micro-baddeleyite grains in granulitic mafic breccia NWA 3163 for the first time and show that targeted microstructural analysis (electron backscatter diffraction) and nanoscale geochronology (atom probe tomography) can overcome these barriers to lunar chronology.A twinned (-90°/) baddeleyite domain yields a 232Th/208Pb age of 4328 ± 309 Ma,which overlaps with a robust secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS) 207Pb/206Pb age of 4308± 18.6 Ma and is interpreted here as the crystallization age for the igneous protolith of NWA 3163.A second microstructural domain,< 2 mm in width,contains patchy overprinting baddeleyite and yields a Th-Pb age of 2175± 143 Ma,interpreted as dating the last substantial impact event to affect the *** finding demonstrates the potential of combining microstructural characterization with nanoscale geochronology when resolving complex P-T-t histories in planetary materials,here yielding the oldest measured crystallization age for components of lunar granulite NWA 3163 and placing further constraints on the formation and evolution of lunar crust.

A novel molecular probe system(NapTpa-dnbs)was prepared based on the chromophore napthalimide fused triphenylamine ***-dnbs was tuned to absorb a large fraction of UV and near-infrared *** turn-on fluorescent response of NapTpa-dnbs to thiophenol caused an increased fluorescent emission by a factor of 11.5 at 597 nm in a PBS buffer *** photoinduced electron transform(PET)process of the probe became less feasible with the addition of thiophenol than that of the free ***-dnbs demonstrated high selective and sensitive detection toward thiophenol with respect to other competitive amine *** detection limit was determined to be 2.03×10^?7 mol/L *** sensing process is rapid(3 min).NapTpa-dnbs can accurately detect the thiophenol with a qualified recovery in real water ***-dnbs on test strips can detect the thiophenol vapour in the atmosphere.

To resolve inflation of inertial confinement fusion (ICF) target and encapsulation of micro inflation hole with adhesive, a scanning probe microscope (SPM) diamond microprobe was used as the cutting tool with SPM in contact mode. Some parameters influencing the quality of micro inflation hole, such as the scanning direction of the diamond tip, the scanning rate and the contact force are discussed. Accurate taper hole was achieved whose climension and precision could meet the requirements of inflation and encapsulation technique of micro hole. The experimental results show that using SPM diamond microprobe as the cutting tool and with special processing technique, the precision machining of target capsule's taper inflation hole can be realized. A novel operative technology for filling high Z gas to target is provided.
