With the development of the micro/nanolithography, the optic-optic or optic-electronic modulation devices with different pixel shapes and sizes can be used for three-dimensional （3D） dynamical holographic display. The influence of different parameters of the modulation devices on the image quality of the 3D reconstructed object is analyzed for two cases： the phase-only computer-generated holography （CGH） and the complex amplitude CGH. The results quantitatively show that the pixel shape of the modulation devices will affect the quality of the holographic image.

Infrared images are firstly analyzed using the multifractal theory so that the singularity of each pixel can be extracted from the images. The multifractal spectrum is then estimated, which can reflect overall characteristic of an infrared image. Thus the edge and texture of an infrared image can be accurately extracted based on the singularity of each pixel and the multifractal spectrum. Finally the edge pixels are classified and enhanced in accordance with the sensitivity of human visual system to the edge profile of an infrared image. The experimental results obtained by this approach are compared with those obtained by other methods. It is found that the proposed approach can be used to highlight the edge area of an infrared image to make an infrared image more suitable for observation by human eyes.

A multilayer fiber bundle is used to couple the image in a remote sensing imaging system. The object image passes through all layers of the fiber bundle in micro-scanning mode. The malposition of adjacent layers arranged in a hexagonal pattern is at sub-pixel scale. Therefore, sub-pixel processing can be applied to improve the spatial resolution. The images coupled by the adjacent layer fibers are separated, and subsequently, the intermediate image is obtained by histogram matching based on one of the separated image called base image. Finally, the intermediate and base images are processed in the frequency domain. The malposition of the adjacent layer fiber is converted to the phase difference in Fourier transform. Considering the limited sensitivity of the experimental instruments and human sight, the image is set as a band-limited signal and the interpolation function of image fusion is found. The results indicate that a super-resolution image with ultra-high spatial resolution is obtained.

A pixel array CdZnTe imaging system, employing a 40 × 40× 5 mm^3 pixellated CdZnTe detector, is established. The imaging polarization effect in the CdZnTe pixellated detector for a collimated CS137 Gamma source is investigated in detail. The experimental results for different irradiated fluxes indicate that excessive irradiated flux indeed causes central pixels to be shut off completely. The imaging performance of the polarized detector is severely degraded. Polarized detector counts are simultaneously reduced to one-third of the non-polarized detector counts. A theoretical model of potential distribution is also proposed by solving the Poisson equation and, in turn, the electric potential distortion for high irradiated flux is discussed by comparison with the experimental results.

By analyzing the error distribution rule of the boundary recursive reconstruction algorithm in controlled micro-scanning, a sub-pixel image processing algorithm is proposed to reduce the error. The gray statistical principle is used in the algorithm to optimize the error and acquire the sub-pixel image that approximates the originM image. The simulation result shows that the effect of this algorithm is better than the over- sample and simple boundary recursive algorithm （BRA）, and it results in a good effect both in those of visible light and infrared imaging systems. Therefore, the application of this algorithm will enhance the performance of optoelectronic imaging systems.

Steering accuracy is limited by the quantized phase modulation values and the number of phase pixels for spatial light modulators （SLMs）.Conventional methods of beam steering lack optimum *** this letter,a beam steering approach based on horizontally moving phase steps is *** with the conventional methods,this novel method is able to reduce the maximum normalized steering error in SLM significantly by a factor proportional to the number of *** addition,steering errors of high steering angles can be drastically reduced by a factor proportional to the product of the number of pixels and the quantized phase levels; the number of high-precision steering angles increases with the number of pixels or the quantized phase levels increasing.

This paper proposes a cryptographic technique on images based on the Sudoku *** is a number puzzle,which needs applying defined protocols and filling the empty boxes with *** a small size of numbers as input,solving the sudoku puzzle yields an expanded big size of numbers,which can be used as a key for the Encryption/Decryption of *** this way,the given small size of numbers can be stored as the prime key,which means the key is compact.A prime key clue in the sudoku puzzle always leads to only one solution,which means the key is always *** feature is the background for the paper,where the Sudoku puzzle output can be innovatively introduced in image *** solution is expanded to any size image using a sequence of expansion techniques that involve filling of the number matrix,Linear X-Y rotational shifting,and reverse shifting based on a standard zig-zag *** crypto key for an image dictates the details of positions,where the image pixels have to be *** is made at two levels,namely pixel and sub-pixel(RGB)levels for an image,with the latter having more effective *** brought-out technique falls under the Image scrambling method with partial *** metrics are impressive and are given by a Histogram deviation of 0.997,a Correlation coefficient of 10−2 and an NPCR of 99.98%.Hence,it is evident that the image cryptography with the sudoku kept in place is more efficient against Plaintext and Differential attacks.

In recent years, Flash LiDAR sensors based on direct timeof-flight(DToF) have been playing an increasingly important role in various 3D imaging fields. In order to perform a histogram on the chip to reduce the data rate, it is inevitable to use a large-size histogramming time-to-digital converter(hTDC) in a Flash LiDAR sensor. However, a large-size hTDC limits the spatial resolution of the sensor.
