A sensitive and selective method employing chemiluminescence(CL)coupled with flow injection(FI)is reported for nalbuphine hydrochloride(NAL)assay in pharmaceutical *** enhancement effect of NAL on the CL reaction between tris(2,2′-bipyridyl)ruthenium(II)chloride-diperiodatocuprate(III){Ru[(bpy)_(3)]^(2+)-Cu(III)complex}in acidic medium is used as analytical *** optimal conditions of the CL reaction were sulfuric acid 1.0×10^(−3) mol/L,Ru[(bpy)s]2+7.5×10^(−5) mol/L,Cu(III)/Ag(III)complexes 4.0×10^(−4)/5.0×10^(−4) mol/L,sample loop volume of 120µL and flow rate of 2.5 mL/*** sensitivities of the method in terms of detection(S/N=3)and quantification(S/N=10)limits are 5×10^(−4) and 0.001 ppm(1 ppm=1 mg/L),*** linear response of the instrument in the form of CL intensity with respect to NAL concentration is over the range 0.001-15.0 ppm(R^(2)=0.9999)with relative standard deviation from 0.8%to 3.2%and injection throughput of 120 injection/*** applications of the method include the quantitative analysis of NAL in pharmaceutical injection *** and the average results of the proposed method are not significantly different from the results of a reported method by applying F-and paired student *** most likely CL reaction mechanism is written in accordance with spectrophotometric and CL studies.

As the oldest venomous animals,centipedes use their venom as a weapon to attack prey and for *** venom,which contains many bioactive and pharmacologically active compounds,has been used for centuries in Chinese medicine,as shown by ancient *** on comparative analysis,we revealed the diversity of and differences in centipede toxin-like molecules between Scolopendra mojiangica,a substitute pharmaceutical material used in China,and *** *** than 6000 peptides isolated from the venom were identified by electrospray ionization-tandem mass spectrometry(ESI-MS/MS)and inferred from the *** a result,in the proteome of ***,246 unique proteins were identified:one in five were toxin-like proteins or putative toxins with unknown function,accounting for a lower percentage of total proteins than that in *** mining identified approximately 10 times more toxin-like proteins,which can characterize the precursor structures of mature toxinlike ***,the constitution and quantity of the toxin transcripts in these two centipedes were *** toxicity assays,the crude venom showed strong insecticidal and hemolytic *** findings highlight the extensive diversity of toxin-like proteins in *** and provide a new foundation for the medical-pharmaceutical use of centipede toxin-like proteins.

The development of pharmaceutical analytical methods represents one of the most significant aspects of drug development. Recent advances in microfabrication and microfluidics could provide new approaches for drug analysis, including drug screening, active testing and the study of metabolism. Microfluidic chip technologies, such as lab-on-a-chip technology, three-dimensional (3D) cell culture, organs-on-chip and droplet techniques, have all been developed rapidly. Microfluidic chips coupled with various kinds of detection techniques are suitable for the high-throughput screening, detection and mechanistic study of drugs. This review highlights the latest (2010–2018) microfluidic technology for drug analysis and discusses the potential future development in this field.

This study presents a comprehensive physicochemical analysis of neem plant leaf extracts with a focus on their potential applications in pharmaceutical and biomedical contexts. Utilizing the soxhlet extraction method with n-hexane as the solvent, the study investigated the quantitative and qualitative composition of neem leaf extracts in reference to concentrations. The results revealed a diverse array of compounds, including cyanogenic glycoside, cardiac glycoside, tannin, steroids, phytate, flavone, oxalate, rutin, lunamarin, catechin, spatein, naringin, resveratrol, kaempferol, flavonones, epicatechin, and epihedrine, with notable concentrations. Further analyses indicated shared physicochemical properties, such as carboxyl and hydroxyl groups. Qualitative assessments affirmed the presence of flavonoid and phenolic compounds, while FTIR analysis confirmed the existence of carboxyl and hydroxyl groups. These findings emphasize the potential use of neem leaves as pharmaceutical raw materials due to their antioxidant-rich content. Additionally, the study explored the density, viscosity, saponification value, and foaming power of neem leaf extracts, providing insights into their industrial applicability. GC-MS analyses highlighted the presence of significant chemical compounds, with potential therapeutic implications. Mineral analysis demonstrated essential elements for human and animal nutrition. This study underscores neem plant leaves’ multifaceted potential across pharmaceutical, herbal medicine, cosmetic, and functional food sectors. It lays a solid foundation for further research into the specific health benefits, offering valuable insights for harnessing neem leaves’ potential in innovative products and treatments.

Current pharmaceutical formulation development still strongly relies on the traditional trialand-error methods of pharmaceutical scientists. This approach is laborious, time-consuming and ***, deep learning has been widely applied in many challenging domains because of its important capability of automatic feature extraction. The aim of the present research is to apply deep learning methods to predict pharmaceutical formulations. In this paper, two types of dosage forms were chosen as model systems. Evaluation criteria suitable for pharmaceutics were applied to assess the performance of the models. Moreover, an automatic dataset selection algorithm was developed for selecting the representative data as validation and test datasets. Six machine learning methods were compared with deep learning. Results showed that the accuracies of both two deep neural networks were above 80% and higher than other machine learning models; the latter showed good prediction of pharmaceutical formulations. In summary, deep learning employing an automatic data splitting algorithm and the evaluation criteria suitable for pharmaceutical formulation data was developed for the prediction of pharmaceutical formulations for the first time. The cross-disciplinary integration of pharmaceutics and artificial intelligence may shift the paradigm of pharmaceutical research from experience-dependent studies to data-driven methodologies.

Crystallization is an important unit operation in the pharmaceutical industry. At present, most pharmaceutical crystallization processes are performed in batches. However, due to product variability from batch to batch and to the low productivity of batch crystallization, continuous crystallization is gaining increasing attention. In the past few years, progress has been made to allow the products of continuous crystallization to meet different requirements. This review summarizes the progress in pharmaceutical continuous crystallization from a product engineering perspective. The advantages and disadvantages of different types of continuous crystallization are compared, with the main difference between the two main types of crystallizers being their difference in residence time distribution. Approaches that use continuous crystallization to meet different quality requirements are summarized. Continuous crystallization has advantages in terms of size and morphology control. However, it also has the problem of a process yield that may be lower than that of a batch process, especially in the production of chirality crystals. Finally, different control strategies are compared.

Tioconazole(TCZ), a broad-spectrum antifungal agent, has significant activity against Candida albicans and other Candida species, and therefore, it is indicated for the topical treatment of superficial *** main goal of this work is to report an exhaustive identification and characterization procedure to improve and facilitate the online quality control and continuous process monitoring of TCZ in bulk material and loaded in two different dosage forms: ovules and nail lacquer. The methodologies were based on thermal(differential scanning calorimetry(DSC), melting point, and thermogravimetry(TG)),spectroscopic(ultraviolet(UV), Raman, near infrared(NIR), infrared spectroscopy coupled to attenuated total reflectance(FTIR-ATR), and nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)), microscopic and X-ray diffraction(XRD). The TCZ bulk powder showed a high crystallinity, as observed by XRD, with a particles size distribution(3–95 mm) resolved by microscopic measurements. TCZ melting point(82.8 °C) and a degradation peak centered at 297.8 °C were obtained by DSC and DTG, respectively. An unambiguous structure elucidation of TCZ was obtained by mono-and two-dimensional1 H and13 C NMR spectral data analysis. The FTIR-ATR, Raman and NIR spectra of both the raw material and the commercial products were analyzed and their characteristic bands were tabulated. The best methods for TCZ identification in ovules were DSC, TG, XRD, NIR and Raman, while NIR and FTIR-ATR were the most appropriate techniques to analyze it in the nail lacquer. DSC, TG, DRX, Raman, FTIR-ATR and NIR spectroscopy are effective techniques to be used in online process analysis, because they do not require sample preparation, and they are considerably sensitive to analyze complex samples.

This study presents for the first time a new composite of carbon paste(CP), single-walled carbon nanotubes(SWCNTs) and Nd2 O3(NdOX). This versatile composite(NdOX-SWCNT/CPE) was applied to the oxidation of paracetamol(PCM). The newly formed surface was characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS) and cyclic voltammetry(CV). The results showed greater conductivity and a higher surface area for the composite than those of the carbon paste alone. Moreover, the anodic peak currents for PCM increased from 1.6 to 3.6 m A with CPE and NdOXSWCNT/CPE, indicating an increase of nearly 51.0% for the anodic peak current. On the other hand, the anodic peak potentials shifted from 0.67 to 0.57 V. The detection limits were 0.05 mmol/L with NdOXSWCNT/CPE and 0.50 mmol/L with SWCNT/CPE. The relative standard deviations(RSDs) were 1.5%(n=7). The accuracy and interference of the methods were evaluated with a urine chemistry control spiked with known quantities of PCM, uric acid, dopamine, ascorbic acid, caffeine, acetylsalicylic acid,tartrazine, sunset yellow, allure red, rutin, morin and metal ions. Finally, the novelty and usefulness of the composite were evaluated to quantify PCM in pharmaceutical dosage forms such as tablets, powders and syrups for children.

This work reports the spectrophotometric simultaneous determination of zinc（Ⅱ）, manganese（Ⅱ） and iron（Ⅱ） in pharmaceutical preparation, using orthogonal signal correctionpartial least squares （OSC-PLS）. All the factors affecting on the sensitivity were optimized and the linear dynamic range for determination of these metals was found. The PLS modeling was used for the multivariate calibration of the spectrophotometric data. The OSC was used for preprocessing of data matrices and the prediction results of model. The experimental calibration matrix was designed by measuring the absorbance over the range 450-570 nm for 21 samples of 0.05-1.05, 0.10-1.10 and 0.05-1.05μg·mL^-1 of zinc（Ⅱ）, manganese（Ⅱ） and iron（Ⅱ）, respectively. The RMSEP for zinc（Ⅱ）, manganese（Ⅱ） and iron（Ⅱ） using OSC-PLS were 0.0164, 0.0132, 0.0146, respectively. The proposed method was successfully applied the determination of zinc（Ⅱ）, manganese（Ⅱ） and iron（Ⅱ） in pharmaceutical preparations.
