nuclear physics,whose underling theory is described by quantum gauge field coupled with matter,is fundamentally important and yet is formidably challenge for simulation with classical *** computing provides a perhaps transformative approach for studying and understanding nuclear *** rapid scaling-up of quantum processors as well as advances on quantum algorithms,the digital quantum simulation approach for simulating quantum gauge fields and nuclear physics has gained lots of *** this review,we aim to summarize recent efforts on solving nuclear physics with quantum *** first discuss a formulation of nuclear physics in the language of quantum *** particular,we review how quantum gauge fields(both Abelian and non-Abelian)and their coupling to matter field can be mapped and studied on a quantum *** then introduce related quantum algorithms for solving static properties and real-time evolution for quantum systems,and show their applications for a broad range of problems in nuclear physics,including simulation of lattice gauge field,solving nucleon and nuclear structures,quantum advantage for simulating scattering in quantum field theory,non-equilibrium dynamics,and so ***,a short outlook on future work is given.

Machine learning(ML)is becoming a new paradigm for scientific research in various research fields due to its exciting and powerful capability of modeling tools used for big-data processing *** this review,we first briefly introduce the different methodologies used in ML algorithms and *** a snapshot of many applications by ML,some selected applications are presented,especially for low-and intermediate-energy nuclear physics,which include topics on theoretical applications in nuclear structure,nuclear reactions,properties of nuclear matter,and experimental applications in event identification/reconstruction,complex system control,and firmware ***,we present a summary and outlook on the possible directions of ML use in low-intermediate energy nuclear physics and possible improvements in ML algorithms.

In this short review, I discuss the sensitivity of the generation of the light and the life-relevant elements such as carbon and oxygen under changes of the parame- ters of the Standard Model pertinent to nuclear physics. Chiral effective field theory allows for a systematic and precise description of the forces between two, three and four nucleons. In this framework, variations under the light quark masses and the electromagnetic fine-structure constant can also be consistently calculated. Combining chiral nuclear effective field theory with Monte Carlo simulations allows to further calculate the properties of nuclei, in particular of the Hoyle state in carbon, that plays a crucial role in the gener- ation of the life-relevant elements in hot, old stars. The dependence of the triple-alpha process on the fundamental constants of nature is calculated, and some implications for our anthropic view of the Universe are discussed.

Unified treatment for accurate and fast evaluation of the Fermi-Dirac functions

A new analytical approach to the computation of the Fermi-Dirac （FD） functions is presented, which was suggested by previous experience with various algorithms. Using the binomial expansion theorem these functions are expressed through the binomial coefficients and familiar incomplete Gamma functions. This simplification and the use of the memory of the computer for the calculation of binomial coefficients may extend the limits to large arguments for users and result in speedier calculation, should such limits be required in practice. Some numerical results are presented for significant mapping examples and they are briefly discussed.

Quasielastic Scattering of the Halo Nucleus ^6He at 25 MeV／u from a ^9Be Target

The differential cross sections of quasielastic scattering of a 25MeV/u 6He from 9Be target have been measured. The double-folding model approach is applied to generate the real part of the optical potential. The imaginary potential parameters as well as some of the real potential parameters are studied in comparison with the experimental data. The effect of the unstable nucleus is discussed.

High-spin states in 184Au have been populated via the 149Sm(29Si, 4nγ) 184Au reaction at a beam energy of 140 MeV. Three- or higher-fold γ-ray coincidences have been measured using the multidetector array of GASP. A rotational band built on the 11- oblate πh-111/2 vi-113/2 structure has been newly observed, similar to those reported in 186-194Au. This result extends the knowledge of shape coexistence to the currently lightest odd-odd Au isotope.

Intermittent Chaotic Neural Firing Characterized by Non-Smooth Features

A chaotic firing pattern, characterized by non-smooth features and generated through the routine of intermittency from period 3, is observed in biological experiments on a neural firing pacemaker and reproduced in simulations by using a theoretical neuronal model with multiple time scales. This chaotic activity exhibits a scale law very similar to those of both the type-Ⅰ intermitteney generated in smooth systems and the type-Ⅴ intermittency in non-smooth systems.

The influence of Isospin Dependence of In-Medium NN Cross Sections on the Ratio of Emitted Neutrons to Protons in HICs

The influence of isospin dependence of in-medium nucleon-nucleon cross sections on the nip ratios for emitted nucleons in reactions 96Zr-j-96Zr and 96Ru-j-96RH at Eb z 400 AMeV is investigated by means of an improved quantum molecular dynamics model. Our results show that the high energy part of the spectra of the n//p ratios for emitted nucleons is sensitive to the isospin dependence of in-medium nucleon-nucleon cross sections for neutron-rich reaction systems. Therefore, we propose that the nip ratio of emitted high energy nucleons in a very neutron-rich reaction system at several hundreds of AMeV can be taken as sensitive observables to constrain the isospindependence of in-medium nucleon-nucleon cross sections.

Motion of a Bose-Einstein Condensate Bright Soliton Incident on a Step-Like Potential

The motion characteristics of a Bose-Einstein condensate bright soliton incident on a local step-like potential barrier are investigated analytically by means of the variational approach. The dynamics of the soliton-potential interaction is studied as well. Then the results are verified by direct numerical simulations of the Gross-Pitaevskii equation. It is found that a moving bright soliton can be reflected from or pass over a step-like potentiaI in a controllable fashion, the critical velocity depends on the width of the soliton and the parameters of the step, and the motion trajectory of the soliton does not depend on its phase. The atom density envelope of the soliton is changed as the result of the interaction between the soliton and the step-like potential.
