To avoid Doppler ambiguity,pulse Doppler radar may operate on a high pulse repetition frequency(PRF).The use of a high PRF can,however,lead to range ambiguity in many cases.At present,the major efficient solution to solve range ambiguity is based on a waveform design scheme.It adds complexity to a radar system.However,the traditional multiple-PRF-based scheme is difficult to be applied in multiple targets because of unknown correspondence between the target range and measured range,especially using the Chinese remainder theorem(CRT)algorithm.We make a study of the CRT algorithm for multiple targets when the residue set contains noise error.In this paper,we present a symmetry polynomial aided CRT algorithm to effectively achieve range estimation of multiple targets when the measured ranges are overlapped with noise error.A closed-form and robust CRT algorithm for single target and the Aitken acceleration algorithm for finding roots of a polynomial equation are used to decrease the computational complexity of the proposed algorithm.

Chronic heart failure(CHF)is a severe public health problem with increasing morbidity and mortality,any treatment targeting a single session is insufficient to tackle this.CHF is characterized by reduced cardiac output resulting from neurohumoral dysregulation and cardiac remodeling,which might be related to oxidative stress,inflammation,endoplasmic reticulum stress,apoptosis,autophagy,mitochondrial function,and angiogenesis.These molecular mechanisms interact with each other through crosstalk.Historically,Chinese medicinal herbs have been widely applied in the treatment of CHF,and therapeutic effects of Chinese medicinal herbs and their ingredients have been scientifically confirmed over the past decades.Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)with multiple components can confront the different pathogenesis of CHF through multiple targets.This review analyzes commonly used TCM patent drugs and TCM decoctions that are applicable to different stages of CHF based on clinical trials.Diverse bioactive ingredients in Chinese medicinal herbs have been found to treat CHF via multiple molecular mechanisms.This review comprehensively covers the key works on the effects and underlying mechanisms of TCM,herbal ingredients and synergistic effects of constituent compatibility in treating CHF,providing additional ideas to address this threat.

OBJECTIVE To find a promising candidate for anti-Alzheimer disease(AD)with multiple targets in multiple pathways.METHODS A series of classifiers were constructed for predicting the active compounds against 51 key targets toward Alzheimer disease(AD)using the multitargetquantitative structure-activity relationships(mt-QSAR)method.While drug screening assays were established to evaluate the predicted active molecules.In addition,various cellular models and animal models related with AD were set up to further study the effects of the active compounds.RESULTS A system for the discovery of Multitarget-Directed Ligands against AD was set up and applied,the predicted active compounds were validated by the drug screening assays,and several active compounds with multiple targets were discovered.Among them,DL0410 exerted high activity on H3R,α7n ACh R,ACh E and ERα,also displayed the most significant effect in improving the ability of memory and learning in several AD animal models.The study on its action mechanisms showed that it′s effect may partially through increasing neurotransmitter,inhibiting oxidative emergency,inhibiting the expression of APP,and promoting long-term potentiation.Besides,DL0410 is of more safety than the first-line clinical medicines.CONCLUSION DL0410 is a promising candidate for further development for AD treatment.

Alzheimer’s disease(AD),which slowly destroys the victim’s memory and thinking skills,is one of the leading disorders that impacts millions of the elderly worldwide.Since multi-factorial etiopathogenesis is clearly indicated in AD, multiple drug therapy will be required to address the varied pathological aspects of this disease.Current one-compoundone -target approaches offer limited and transient benefits to AD patients but do not delay the course of neurodegeneration significantly.One-compound-multiple-target drugs urgently need to be developed for preventing and treating AD.Over the past few years,several highly promising anti-Alzheimer’s dimers have been developed which are derived from homoor hetero- dimers of tacrine and/or huperzine A,a novel alkaloid discovered from the Chinese herb.Our series of studies have shown that relative to the existing anti-AD drugs approved by FDA in the USA,these novel dimers possess greater in vivo acetylcholinesterase inhibition,memory enhancement and multiple neuroprotective activities against the oligomers of β-amyloid,HO and glutamate toxicity through the concurrent blockade of L-type calcium channels,NMDA receptors and neuronal NOS.The results suggest that these novel dimers can be highly promising candidates for the new generation of multi-functional AD therapeutics and neuroprotectants.

We study the collective encirclement control problem of a multi-agent system in this paper, where the agents move collectively to encircle the multiple targets. An algorithm is proposed and a sufficient condition is derived to realize the collective encirclement motion. Some simulation results are provided to show the effectiveness of the obtained theoretical results.

Panax Ginseng has been used for thousands of years in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) as a tonic to improver stamina and vitality. Ginsenoside Rg1(Rg1), a saponin extracted from Panax ginseng, is considered one of the most potent pharmacological candidates among TCM. In various diseases related to nervous system, Rg1 has shown excellent pharmacological activities.(1) Stroke: Rg1 has been well documented to be effective against ischemic/reperfusion(I/R) neuronal injury. A systematic review and meta-analysis revealed a marked efficacy of Rg1 in experimental acute ischemic stroke, as manifested by its ability to reduce infract volume and improve neurological score. The protective effects of Rg1 were abolished by injecting of AAV-HIF-mi R-144-sh RNA into the predicted ischemic penumbra.(2) Depression: in addition, Rg1 showed antidepressive effects in chronic unpredictable mild stress(CUMS) model of depression and in gonadectomized(GDX) model of neuroendocrine disturbance. Rg1 displayed antidepressant activity through the modulation of HPA and HPG axis, markedly alleviated depression-like behavior in rats. Long-term Rg1 treatment of CUS-exposed rats also significantly prevented the decrease in dye diffusion and improved the ultrastructure of astrocyte gap junctions in the PFC.Rg1 upregulated Cx43 expression in PFC reduced by CUS exposure, indicating beneficial effects on the functional activity of gap junction channels in the brain.(3)Parkinson disease(PD): oral treatment with Rg1 significantly attenuated high MPTP-induced mortality, behavior defects, loss of dopamine neurons and abnormal unltrastructure changes in SNpc.
