Software Metrics help us to make meaningful estimates for software products and guide us in taking managerial and technical decisions.However,conventional static Metrics have been found to be inadequate for modern object-oriented software due to the presence of object-oriented features such as polymorphism,dynamic binding,inheritance and unused code.This fact motivates us to focus on dynamic Metrics in place of traditional static Metrics.Moreover,dynamic Metrics are more precise than static Metrics as they are able to capture the dynamic behaviour of the software system during measurement.These dynamic Metrics are usually obtained from the execution traces of the code or from the executable models.In this paper,advantages of dynamic Metrics over static Metrics are discussed and then a survey of the existing dynamic Metrics is carried out.These Metrics are characterized into different categories such as dynamic coupling Metrics, dynamic cohesion Metrics.Towards end of the paper,potential research challenges and opportunities in the field of dynamic Metrics are identified.

There is a common belief that structural properties of classes are important factors to determine their unit testability.However,few empirical studies have been conducted to examine the actual impact of structural properties of classes.In this paper,we employ multiple linear regression(MLR) and partial least square regression(PLSR) to investigate the relationships between the Metrics measuring structural properties and unit testability of a class.The investigated structural Metrics cover five property dimensions,including size,cohesion,coupling,inheritance,and complexity.Our results from open-source software systems show that:(1) most structural Metrics are statistically related to unit testability in an expected direction,among which size,complexity,and coupling Metrics are the most important predictors;that(2) multivariate regression models based on structural Metrics cannot accurately predict unit testability of classes,although they are better able to rank unit testability of classes;that(3) the transition from MLR to PLSR could significantly improve the ability to rank unit testability of classes but cannot improve the ability to predict the unit testing effort of classes.

随着现代科技的发展,各种新兴技术与软件应用层出不穷,企业也开始面临着各种各样的服务器和系统的运维监测问题。怎么样去使用有关的技术去实现自动化运维,帮助企业运维技术人员,摆脱重复地查看每一个中间件的运行参数的任务,是每个企业都必须考虑的问题。本文就是研究根据现代企业级监测系统框架技术,结合实时报警和预测报警的预警策略,构建基于Metrics的性能监测系统。本文首先研究了监测系统中常用的监测框架技术及相关算法,然后详细分析了系统的基本功能需求和性能需求,并在研究分析的基础上设计并实现了监测系统的模块,包括数据采集模块、数据处理上传模块、数据监测展示模块、预警模块和时间调度模块等。经过相关研究之后采用线性回归算法与指数回归算法结合的方式进行监测指标趋势分析,从而实现预警模块中的预测报警模块。监测系统使用基于Metrics的Prometheus+Grafana的架构进行实现,实现了从数据抓取到展示并且对异常进行预警等全部流程,这也是当今监测领域一种比较流行的结构。目前,基于Metrics的性能监测系统已经完成了所有功能模块的开发,实现了系统监测、日志管理、系统预警等相关功能。通过一系列设计的测试和分析,系统可以更好地满足预期的实施目标,完成的系统也在企业内部上线使用。本监测系统的实现,除了避免运维的重复工作,将其从冰冷的参数面前解放出来之外,还使得运维技术人员进一步了解被监测对象,为后续对其进行优化打下了良好的基础。

为向公众展示联邦政府科学投入产生的成效和影响,美国提出并实施了STAR Metrics项目,旨在研发一种基于测度的评价框架,用以评价美国联邦政府R&D投资的效益,从而促进政策制定、明确责任、提高公众参与度。2013年7月,兰德公司在"如何测量科研工作:框架与方法指南"的研究报告中,讨论了包括STAR Metrics在内的全球14个评价框架。本文基于该报告内容及相关资料,着重概括了STAR Metrics评价框架的应用情况和发展前景,并提出了对我国科技评价的几点启示。总体来看,该框架突出的特点是强调自由、强调实用,具有浓厚的美国文化色彩。

Power grids deliver energy,and telecommunication networks transmit information.These two facilities are critical to human society.In this study,we conduct a comprehensive overview of the development of reliability Metrics for power grids and telecommunication networks.The main purpose of this review is to promote and support the formulation of communication network reliability Metrics with reference to the development of power grid reliability.We classify the Metrics of power grid into the reliability of power distribution and generation/transmis-sion and the Metrics of telecommunication network into connectivity-based,performance-based,and state-based Metrics.Then,we exhibit and discuss the difference between the situations of the reliability Metrics of the two systems.To conclude this study,we conceive a few topics for future research and development for telecommunication network reliability Metrics.

作为基于引文分析的期刊评价工具,Google Scholar Metrics打破了Web of Science和Scopus在科学评价领域的垄断地位。本文以图书情报学科为例,通过对三个数据库资源覆盖程度的比较和期刊排名的相关性分析,了解Google Scholar Metrics和传统引文数据库的差异和联系。研究表明,Google Scholar Metrics不仅覆盖了广泛的资源,而且在期刊排名方面,同Web of Science和Scopus具有很高的相关性,能够提供可靠有效的评价结果。

联邦政府投资于科学,其产生的益处或者价值是什么?这是一个社会各界普遍关注的问题。2008年全球金融危机爆发之后,奥巴马政府出台了总额为7 870亿美元的一揽子刺激经济复苏方案,其中76亿美元被直接用于科学研究。为了向公众展示科学研究资金如何对美国经济社会产生影响,美国政府提出了STAR Metrics项目,旨在通过联邦政府和研究机构之间的合作,创建跨部门共享的数据库以及数据展示工具,从而对联邦R&D投入的影响进行评价。对STAR Metrics项目的情况进行了深入地调研和分析,并在此基础上提出对我国科技评价的若干思考。

"基于标准的评价"是"基于标准的教育"的关键和核心。研究采用文献资料法、逻辑分析法,以美国国家运动和体育联合会(简称NASPE)研制推广的基于标准的K-12体育学业成就评价工具PE Metrics为研究对象,分别针对PE Metrics的历程、内容与启示三个问题进行探讨,旨在为我国研制基于标准的体育学业成就评价工具提供帮助。研究结果表明:美国PE Metrics的研制先后经过了六个阶段,评价年级是K、2、5、8、高中(9-12),分为标准1评价、标准2评价、标准3-4评价、标准5-6评价。其中,"标准1"实施表现性评价,"标准2-6"实施笔试。PE Metrics具有研制过程的严谨性、学段覆盖的全面性、指标体系的代表性、测量学理论的先进性、多媒体运用的直观性、评价标准的科学性等特点。我国应加强对基于标准的学生体育学业成就评价工具的研制。在研制时,应该注意"基于课程标准"是核心,科学性是目标,先进的测量学理论是保障,充分发挥录像的直观作用,为教师使用提供更多的自主权。
