Ligand N^(2),N^(6)-bis(2-hydroxyethyl)pyridine-2,6-dicarboxamide(L=BHPC)was synthesized and used to construct lanthanide-based mesoporous material *** the structure of resulting Eu-L-MCM-41,Eu^(3+)was chelated by BHPC,and the Eu-L complexes were anchored into the forming MCM-41 host by the reaction between the hydroxyl group and active *** mesoporous material Eu-L-MCM-41 was characterized by UV,IR,small-angle X-ray diffraction(SAXRD)patterns,nitrogen adsorption/desorption isotherms,TGA and fluorescence *** results indicate that ligand and Eu^(3+) have been introduced into the MCM-41 host,and Eu-L-MCM-41 exhibits characteristic luminescence of Eu^(3+).

Optimization of a digested sludge-derived mesoporous material as an efficient and stable heterogeneous catalyst for the photo-Fenton reaction

The anaerobic digestion of sludge has recently received increased interest because of the potential to transform organic matter into methane‐rich biogas. However, digested sludge, the residue produced in that process, still contains high levels of heavy metals and other harmful substances that might make traditional disposal difficult. We have devised a facile method of converting digested sludge into a mesoporous material that acts as an effective and stable heterogeneous catalyst for the photo‐Fenton reaction. A comparison of the removal of rhodamine B under different conditions showed that FAS‐1‐350, which was synthesized by mixing the digested sludge with a 1 mol/L（NH4）2Fe（SO4）2 solution followed by calcination at 350 °C, exhibited the best catalytic activity owing to its faster reaction rate and lower degree of Fe leaching. The results indicate that Fe^（2＋）‐loaded catalysts have significant potential to act as stable and efficient heterogeneous promoters for the photo‐Fenton reaction, with better performance than Fe^3＋‐loaded catalysts because the Fe（II）/Fe（III）compounds formed in the calcination process are necessary to sustain the Fenton reaction. This protocol provides an alternative, environmentally friendly method of reusing digested sludge and demonstrates an easily synthesized mesoporous material that effectively degrades azo dyes.

Adsorption behavior of phosphate on Lanthanum(Ⅲ) doped mesoporous silicates material

A series of lanthanum doped meosoporous MCM-41 （LaxM41, x is Si/La molar ratio） was prepared by sol-gel method. The surface structure of the materials was investigated with X-ray diffraction and N2 adsorption/desorption technique. The content of La in the materials was determined by ICE It was found that the La content of La25M41, La50M41 and La100M41 was 7.53%, 3.89% and 2.32%, respectively. The phosphate adsorption capacities increased with increasing amount of La incorporation. With 0.40 g La25M41 99.7% phosphate could be removed. The effects of Si/La molar ratio, LaxM41 dose, pH, initial concentration of phosphate solution, co-ions on phosphate adsorption were also evaluated. The phosphate adsorption kinetics of LaxM41 could be well-described by the pseudo second-order model, and Langmuir isotherm fit equilibrium data much better than the Freundlich isotherm.

The mesoporous Al-SBA-15 zeolite was obtained via impregnation of pure silica-based SBA-15 zeolite with aluminum *** Al-SBA-15 sample was calcined in air at 800 ℃ for 6 h and hydrothermally treated at near 100 ℃ for 120 h,respectively,and then the thermal and hydrothermal stability of Al-SBA-15 sample was investigated by X-ray diffractometry (XRD),scanning electron microscopy (SEM),transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and nitrogen adsorption and desorption *** Al-SBA-15 sample was also studied by 27 Al nuclear magnetic resonance (27 Al NMR) and ammonia temperature programmed desorption (NH 3-TPD) *** addition,the catalytic activity of Al-SBA-15 zeolite was investigated by the Friedel-Crafts reactions of 2,4-di-tert-butylphenol with cinnamyl *** test results showed that the thermal and hydrothermal stability of Al-SBA-15 zeolite was better than that of SBA-15 *** Al-SBA-15 zeolite sample prepared by impregnation method exhibits more framework aluminum species and Al-O-Si ***,the number of the surface hydroxyl groups was reduced,resulting in the stabilization of framework structure ofAl-SBA-15 *** aluminum species can form weak and medium-strong acid sites with catalytic activity.

The lanthanum aluminum mesoporous materials were synthesized using sodium dodecyl sulfate as a template agent by ultrasonic hydrothermal *** resulting samples were characterized by low angle X-ray diffraction（XRD）,N2 adsorption-desorption studies,transmission electron microscopy（TEM）and surface morphology analysis（SEM）,surface acid（NH3-TPD）,reducibility properties（TPR）,X-ray energy dispersive spectrometer（EDS）and thermogravimetric analysis（TG/DTG）.A l/La composite mesoporous material were synthesized with n（Al）︰n（La）=70︰1.0,80°C of reaction temperature,20 h of reaction time,12 h of crystallization time,650°C of calcination *** specific surface area of the sample is 273.90 m 2 ·g ？1 ,with the average diameter 5.642 nm and pore volume 0.2354 cm 3 ·g ？1 .The samples have mesoporous structure and its particles are similar to a worm-shaped tubular *** influence of calcination temperature on the surface physical and chemical properties of Al/La composited mesoporous materials was examined,and the results showed that the acid strength was increased but the amount of acidic sites is decreased as the calcination temperature *** was found that the sample calcined at 650°C had appropriate acid content,acid strength and better reducibility.

Ti-incorporated mesoporous silica materials with pore diameters of 3-4 nm have been prepared via the co-hydrolysis and co-condensation reactions, that is the sol-gel reactions, of titanium (IV) tetrabutoxide and tetraethylorthosilicate in the presence of tartaric acid as template, followed by extraction with ethanol to remove the templatemolecules. The materials were characterized in detail by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, nitrogen adsorption-desorption test, powder X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy and X-ray energy dispersive spectroscopy. Theresults indicate that the Ti-containing silica materials have large specific surface areas (ca. 1200 m^2 g^(-1)) and pore volumes(ca. 0.900 cm^3 g^(-1)). The mesoporosity arises from disordered interconnecting channels or pores. The Ti-incorporated silicasexhibit catalytic activity for the ring-opening polymerization of ε-caprolactone, otherwise, the pure mesoporous silicamaterial shows no catalytic activity under the identical conditions.

Phosphate removal from aqueous waste streams is an important approach to control the eutrophication downstream bodies of water. A Fe（Ⅲ） coordinated amino-functionalized silicate adsorbent for phosphate adsorption was synthesized by a post-grafting and metal cation incorporation process. The surface structure of the adsorbent was characterized by X-ray diffraction, N2 adsoropion/desoprotion technique, and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The experimental results showed that the adsorption equilibrium data were well fitted to the Langmuir equation. The maximum adsorption capacity of the modified silicate material was 51.8 mg/g. The kinetic data from the adsorption of phosphate were fitted to pseudo second-order model. The phosphate adsorption was highly pH dependent and the relatively high removal of phosphate fell within the pH range 3.0-6.0. The coexistence of other anions in solutions has an adverse effect on phosphate adsorption; a decrease in adsorption capacity followed the order of exogenous anions： F^- 〉 SO4^2- 〉 NO3^- 〉 Cl^-. In addition, the adsorbed phosphate could be desorbed by NaOH solutions. This silicate adsorbent with a large adsorption capacity and relatively high selectivity could be utilized for the removal of phosphate from aqueous waste streams or in aquatic environment.

A series of mesoporous smectite like materials incorporated with alkali metals such as Li, Na, K and Cs has been synthesized with the hydrothermal method. The crystalline and the pore structures of the materials synthesized significantly change with the introduction of alkali metals. The addition of Li gives highly ordered layer phases, while the incorporation of Cs yields much less crystalline structures. Although Na or K has little effect on the crystalline structure, they modify the pore structure.

As the first-line technology,micelles play a pivotal role in in vivo delivery of theranostic agents because of their high biocompatibility and ***,in complex physiological environments(extreme dilution,pH,and oxidation or reduction,etc.),they generally suffer from structural instability and insufficient protection for encapsulated *** is urgent to reinforce the structural stability of the micelles at the single-micelle *** using the FDA-approved Pluronic F127 surfactants and indocyanine green(ICG)bioimaging agents as model,herein,we propose the silane-crosslinking assisted strategy to reinforce the structural stability of the *** from the traditional silane hydrolysis under the harsh experimental conditions(acidic,alkaline,and high temperature hydrothermal,etc.),the ICG loaded F127@SiO_(2) hybrid single-micelles(ICG@H-micelles)with controllable sizes(15-35 nm)are synthesized at neutral pH and room temperature,which is crucial for the maintenance of the physicochemical properties of the encapsulated *** the ultra-thin SiO_(2)(<5 nm)at hydrophilic layer of the single-micelle,the structural and fluorescence stability of ICG@H-micelles are much higher than the conventional micelle(ICG@micelles)in the simulated physiological environments of dilution,oxidation or reduction,and low *** of the high structural and fluorescence stability,the ICG@H-micelles also exhibit longer duration time in the tumor and gastrointestinal tract bioimaging.

Self-assembled triblock terpolymers have attracted intense attention in recent years because of their abundant variety of assembly mesostructure. We reported the synthesis of mesoporous silica materials with the am- phiphilic ABC triblock terpolymer polyethylene-poly（ethylene oxide）-polycaprolactone（PE-PEO-PCL） as a template and tetraethoxysilane（TEOS） as a silica source. Increasing the hydrophilic head group（PEO） led to the decrease of packing parameter g, which gave rise to the mesophase transformation from a cylindrical two-dimensional hexagonal P6mm structure to a cage-type face centered cubic closed-packing mesostructure. This new templating route provided a new insight into the template factor governed inorganic-organic self-assembly mesophases.
