　　Acute myocardial ischemia was induced by intravenous injection of pituitrin, and electroacupuncture (EA) was applied at the Heart and Lung meridians (HM and LM), 3 points on each meridian. The changes in the left intraventricular pressure (LVP), the maximum rise rate of intraventricular pressure (LVP dp/dtmax), the area of cardiac force loop (ACFL), and the maximum shortening velocity of myocardial contractile element (Vmax) were observed. As a result, there were significant differences in the improvement of LVP, LVP dp/dtmax, ACFL and Vmax between EA at HM and LM. The regulatory action of EA at HM on the myocardial contractile function was significantly better than that of EA at LM, indicating that HM has a close relationship with the myocardial contractile function.……

In studying the syndrome of yang-hyperactivity, we found that most migraine patients were with hyperactivity of the liver-yang, stagnation of the liver-qiand blood stasis, and stagnation of the liverqi and deficiency of the spleen. To evaluate the needling effects on migraine and to approach its mechanism, we have launched a study in 207 cases since 1997. The results were satisfactory and reported as follows.

Background:Observing interstitial fluid(ISF)is very difficult because interstitial structure collapses and ISF disappears after tissue ***,ISF is colorless,and interstitial flow is weak in *** order to view the interstitial flow,special dye and animal model was chosen to explore the movement characteristic of interstitial flow and related ***:The Gephyrocharax Melanocheir(GM)fish,a special animal with translucent body,were placed into 0.03 g/L tricain solution for anesthesia.20-25μL Alcian blue(AB)solution which can stain acid mucopolysaccharide immobilized by the collagen net in connective tissue was injected into each fish at a single point with a rate of 2 μL/min via a micro-injection *** process of infusion and the movement of the AB in fish were record by a digital ***(fresh)frozen sections of AB tracks tissue were performed to observe the morphological ***:Several blue tracks were observed which were formed by longitudinal directional movements of AB *** back lateral track,the velocity and length of the movements were significantly fast and longer on the direction toward head than that toward tail(Pmeridians and collaterals in health care.

The system of meridians and acupoints in the traditional Chinese medication （TCM） builds up a complex network. We analyze the features and properties of the system of meridians and acupoints as a complex network based on knowledge of TCM and mathematics. The system shows some important features of complex networks such as the small-world effect and the scale-free property. A preliminary discussion on the robustness of the meridian system as a complex network, and the biomedical functions of such robustness is also given.

The visual electrophysiologic method was used to investigate the relationship between the eyes and the 12 regular channels. The values of the latent period and the amplitude of P100 wave were calculated and compared statistically. The results show that: 1) The eyes and the 12 regular channels are closely related, no matter whether the channels are classically associated with the eyes or not, while the control (non-channel)/ point has no such relationship; 2) the degrees of relationship between the eyes and the 12 regular channels vary significantly; and 3) acupuncture at the 12 regular channels induces different effects on the visual evoked potential that the Urinary Bladder Channel presents a facilitation effect whereas all the other channels chiefly show an inhibitory effect.

Since 1992, the author has adopted auricular plaster and meridian instrument for treating child bronchial asthma, with consolidative and reliable therapeutic effects as reported in the following.
