Sesquiterpene lactones are considered as the major active compounds in Kudiezi injection in virtue of their special structures and activities. Herein, an analytical method was developed for rapid screening and identification of sesquiterpene lactones in Kudiezi injection using high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with linear ion trap-orbitrap mass spectrometry(HPLC-LTQ-Orbitrap) in negative ion mode. First, two sesquiterpene lactone reference standards were analyzed to obtain their characteristic ESI-MS/MS fragmentation patterns. Second, based on extracted ion chromatography(EIC) data-mining method and characteristic fragmentation pathways analysis, sesquiterpene lactones in Kudiezi injection were rapidly screened and identified. Finally, an important parameter Clog P was adopted to discriminate the isomers of sesquiterpene lactones. As a result, 50 sesquiterpene lactones were characterized, including 9 sesquiterpene lactone aglycones, 39 sesquiterpene lactone glycosides, and 2 amino acid-sesquiterpene lactone conjugates. Among them, 13 compounds were tentatively identified as new compounds. The results demonstrated that the established method would be a rapid, effective analytical tool for screening and identification of sesquiterpene lactones in the complex system of natural medicines.

Ginkgo diterpene lactones meglumine injection(GDLI)is a commercially available product used for ***,the pharmacokinetic properties of the prototypes and hydrolyzed carboxylic forms of the primary components in GDLI,i.e.,ginkgolide A(GA),ginkgolide B(GB),and ginkgolide K(GK),have never been fully evaluated in beagle *** this work,a simple,sensitive,and reliable method based on ultra-fast liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry(UFLC-MS/MS)was developed,and the prototypes and total amounts of GA,GB,and GK were determined in beagle dog *** plasma concentrations of the hydrolyzed carboxylic forms were calculated by subtracting the prototype concentrations from the total lactone *** the first time,the pharmacokinetics of GA,GB,and GK were fully assessed in three forms,i.e.,the prototypes,the hydrolyzed carboxylic forms,and the total amounts,after intravenous administration of GDLI in beagle *** was shown that ginkgolides primarily existed in the hydrolyzed form in plasma,and the ratio of hydrolysates to prototype forms of GA and GB decreased gradually to a homeostatic *** of the three forms of the three ginkgolides showed linear exposure of AUC to the ***,GB,and GK showed a constant half-life approximately 2.7,3.4,and 1.2 h,respectively,which were consistent for the forms at three dose levels(0.3,1.0,and 3.0 mg·kg^(-1))and after a consecutive injection of GDLI for 7 days(1.0 mg·kg^(-1)).

Three new β-resorcylic acid lactones （RALs）, paecilomycins G-I （1--3）, and eight known compounds, aigia- lomycins B--D （4--6）, 1＇,2＇-epoxy aigialomycin D （7）, zearalenone （8）, 7＇-dehydrozearalenone （9）, and trans-7＇,8＇-dehydrozearalenol （10）, antibiotic LL-Z1640-1 （11）, were isolated from the mycelial solid culture of Paecilomyces sp. SC0924. Their structures were established by spectroscopic methods and chemical means. In an assessment of antifungal activity by the well plate diffusion method, five known RALs, 4-7 and 11 showed weak activities against Peronophythora litchii.

The aim of this research was to detect the N-acyl homoserine lactones (AHLs) production and QseB/C gene of Aeromonas hydrophila. We analyzed the potentials of these isolates of Aeromonas hydrophila in causing biofilm formation, hemolysis, protease, and lipase. The antibiotic susceptibility of the 15 Aeromonas hydrophila isolates was also investigated. The detection of AHLs was carried out using the Chromobacterium violaceum strain CV026 as biosensors. The isolated strains were tested for the reaction of C. violaceum CV026 by cross-streaking on an agar plate. Production of AHLs was determined by the diffusing via the agar plates and the tinge of the biosensor strains. All isolated strains produced AHLs. A polymerase chain reaction (PCR) showed the isolated strains had qseB and qseC genes. Susceptibility tests of A. hydrophila isolates were administered against 25 different antibiotic disks representing 12 classes of antibiotics. The strains were highly resistant to β-Lactam with 96.7% showing resistibility, whereas 97.7% susceptibility was found towards Aminoglycoside class of the antibiotic used. 60% showed intermediate resistant to Polypeptide. 100% of the strains showed no resistant to Aminoglycoside, Polypeptide, Monobactam, and Carbapenems class of antibiotics. Each of the isolates was found to be associated with at least one virulent factor. Our results clearly demonstrated that there is a presence of QseB/C genes in A. hydrophila and also produces AHLs molecule and virulence factors. The investigated isolates showed the pathogenic potential of Aeromonas hydrophila which makes it a serious threat to public health.

Strigolactones （SLs） are plant hormones that regulate different aspects of plant development. In roots, SLs are involved in the regulation of lateral-root formation and they induce root-hair elongation （Kapulnik et al., 2011）. They are also exuded from plant roots and act as stimulators of parasitic and symbiotic （e.g., arbuscular mycorrhizae） interactions. SLs are perceived in plants by a specific reception system that consists of several interacting proteins （reviewed by AI-Babili and Bouwmeester, 2015）.

By introducing hydroxyl group into PPh3 ligand,a promoter-free palladium catalytic system based on(p-HOC6H4)PPh2 ligand was developed for the telomerization of 1,3-butadiene with CO_(2).High activity and selectivity towards CO_(2)-incorporated divinylδ-lactone monomer were achieved(TON/TOF:up to 4540/568 h–1;selectivity ofδ-lactone and its isomers:up to 97%).The key role of phenolic hydroxyl group of the ligand in attaining high activity was *** good performance of large-scale reaction in batch reactor demonstrated the potential utility of this simple catalytic system in valorizing CO_(2) with bulk chemical feedstock.

A series of new dihydropyridines, butanamide, dihydropyridazines and thiourea derivatives have been prepared through the reactions of 3-aminopyridine （1） and N-（pyridin-3-yl）-3-（pyridin-3-ylimino）butanamide 3 with some electrophilic reagents, aryl diazonium salts and isothiocyanates. Elementary analysis, MS, IR, and 1H NMR spectra confirmed the identity of the products.

A synthetic protocol to lactones by electro-oxidative induced C-H activation of 2-arylbenzoic acids has been developed. By using Na2SO4 aqueous solution as a cheap and green supporting electrolyte, different 2-arylbenzoic acids could provide the corresponding lactones in 30%-90% yields. This reaction could be conducted on a gram scale with a good efficiency as well as a high utility for natural product synthesis.
