Development and experiment of the intelligent control system for rhizosphere temperature of aeroponic lettuce via the Internet of Things

Currently,in the conventional aeroponic system the collection of data for crop performance is quite slow,whereas such data are typically collected ***,the root zone temperature is one of the most important factors affecting plant growth in aeroponics *** study aimed to obtain temperature and relative humidity data inside an aeroponic system based on the Internet of things(IoT)and automatically cool the root zone using a novel low-cost effective technique for cooling via a cooling fan connected to the Arduino *** results revealed that the newly designed system could monitor and record the data in real-time on an internet server per ***,the temperature and humidity data can be displayed on the smartphone application,and be sent to the personal email weekly as an excel *** system was able to maintain the temperatures inside the roots chamber between 28.7℃-29.2℃ while the maximum external temperature was 38.1℃,and the average temperature in the traditional aeroponics system was fluctuating between 29.5℃-31.5℃.The newly automated cooling system root zone system of this study showed an optimization of lettuce growth *** significantly increased the lettuce absorbance of inorganic nutrients such as N,P,and K by 45.5%,66.6%,and 45.0%,respectively,also revealed an increment of fresh weight,total chlorophyll,ascorbic acid,total carbohydrate,and total amino acids by 131.0%,26.2%,41.9%,30.7%,6.2%,respectively in comparison with the conventional aeroponic ***,this study may play a significant role in the aeroponic monitoring and control,for providing more suitable growth parameters and achieving the least human interaction.

With the continuous development of networking technology, sensor networks have been widely used and has become an important field of information technology infrastructure, especially the real-time sensor networks provide the perceptual information for many intelligent applications provides sufficient information to support decision-making and the necessary basis. However, due to the intelligent application-aware, real-time information demands often cannot be converted to simple queries and query interface to sensor substrate exact match, With the development of technology, people’s expectations of the home and the definition of the family conferred no longer adhere to the traditional way of life, smart home has become a hot spot in recent years, the direction of research in the field of information technology. Embodied herein Things smart home design is based on FPGA technology, capable of real-time collection of the temperature, humidity and light intensity and other information, to achieve environmental control systems, intelligent fish gardening systems, intelligent catering systems, multimedia control systems and security alarm systems function, provide users with the new smart home networking experience.

Aiming at the problem of uneven heat supply in the current heat exchange station,an intelligent system with unattended function is proposed in this *** of all,by writing logic programs and making touch screen interface,the programmable controller can be operated,the data collected can be visualized,and the circulating water pump,supplementary water pump and water refill valve can be started and ***,based on the PID algorithm,by setting the time curve and temperature curve,the opening of the electric regulating valve and the frequency of the circulating pump and the supplementary pump are automatically adjusted to achieve automatic temperature adjustment,and the user room temperature is kept stable near the set ***,the data is transmitted to the established SCADA system through the IO Server to achieve remote monitoring of the status of field equipment and remote control of valves,pumps,***,each component is connected through Ethernet to form an automatic control system of unattended heat exchange *** system can monitor the status of the heat exchange station in real time,further improve the operation and management level of the heat exchange station,improve the heating quality,reduce energy waste,and achieve economic benefits.

The introduction of several small and large-scale industries,malls,shopping complexes,and domestic applications has significantly increased energy *** aim of the work is to simulate a technically viable and economically optimum hybrid power system for residential *** proposed micro-grid model includes four power generators:solar power,wind power,Electricity Board(EB)source,and a Diesel Generator(DG)set,with solar and wind power performing as major sources and the EB supply and DG set serving as backup *** core issue in direct current to alternate current conversion is harmonics distortion,a five-stage multilevel inverter is employed with the assistance of an intelligent control system is simulated and the optimum system configuration is estimated to reduce harmonics and improve the power *** monthly demand for residential buildings is 13-15 ***,almost 433 Kilo-Watts(KW)of electricity is required every day,and if it is used for 8 h per day,50-60 KW of electricity is needed per *** overall micro-grid model’s operation and performance are established using MATLAB/SIMULINK software,and simulation results are *** simulation results show that the developed system is both cost-effective and environment friendly resulting in yearly cost reductions.

As the smart home is the end-point power consumer, it is the major part to be controlled in a smart micro grid. There are so many challenges for implementing a smart home system in which the most important ones are the cost and simplicity of the implementation method. It is clear that the major share of the total cost is referred to the internal controlling system network; although there are too many methods proposed but still there is not any satisfying method at the consumers＇ point of view. In this paper, a novel solution for this demand is proposed, which not only minimizes the implementation cost, but also provides a high level of reliability and simplicity of operation; feasibility, extendibility, and flexibility are other leading properties of the design.

Based on Expert systems and fuzzy controls,this paper proposes an intelligent control method for a billets heating control system of annular reheating *** at the main problem of furnace temperature fluctuation caused by the change of the production rhythm and the inconsistency of the length and/or diameter of the heated cylindrical billets in the furnace,first,a fuzzy rule is established to set furnace temperature based on the difference between the billets target rise temperature and the billets real ***,according to the difference between the actual furnace temperature and the set furnace temperature,another fuzzy rule is established to form a knowledge base,based on which,an expert system is designed to diagnose the furnace temperature state,and to control the degrees of gas valve opening and air valve opening ***,the furnace temperature can be adjusted by controlling the flow rates of gas and ***,a Level 2 intelligent process control system is constructed for annular heating furnace by integrating with the Level 1 basic control *** effective results are obtained when the proposed method is implemented in the productive process of the real annular heating furnace.
