Objective: To study the function of iGF1 in influenza infected A549 cells and its molecular ***: iGF1 concentration in cell supernatant was examined by ELiSA. inflammatory cytokines and viral load were detected by Real time quantitative ***: influenza infection increased mRNA level of iGF1 with both dose effect and time effect in wild A549 cells;compared with wild-type cells, pro-inflammatory cytokines iL-4, TNF-α, iL-6, iL-1βexhibited lower expression levels while anti-inflammatory cytokine iL-2 exhibited higher expression after iGF1 knockdown. On the other hand, pro-inflammatory cytokines iL-4, TNF-α, iL-6, iL-1βwere highly expressed while anti-inflammatory cytokine iL-2 was lowly expressed in iGF1 overexpressed group compared with control;in addition we found no difference in viral titer among ***: inhibition of iGF1 effectively relieve the inflammation induced by influenza, thus could be a novel target for the treatment of influenza infection.
