为了考察儿童受欺凌与情绪问题之间的关系，以及希望和宽恕在其中的调节作用，采用Olweus欺凌/受欺凌问卷、儿童希望量表、Heartland宽恕倾向量表、儿童社交焦虑量表、简版儿童青少年抑郁量表对727名小学生进行问卷调查。结果发现：(1)儿童受欺凌显著正向预测情绪问题，受欺凌水平越高，产生焦虑、抑郁的风险越高；(2)希望和宽恕在儿童受欺凌与两种情绪问题的关系中均发挥调节作用，表现为在高希望或高宽恕水平下，受欺凌对儿童焦虑、抑郁的预测作用显著减弱；(3)希望与宽恕对儿童受欺凌后产生的情绪问题的保护作用遵循“独立模式”，即二者单独发挥对焦虑、抑郁的调节作用。研究发现为如何促进儿童在遭受欺凌后的情绪健康和社会心理适应提供了科学依据。

Objective:This study aimed to investigate whether perceived stress mediated the relationship between hope and anxiety/depression symptoms among patients with COVID-19 during the epidemic.In addition,the potential moderating effect of coping styles was examined.Methods:From February 26 to March 10,2020,patients with COVID-19 were asked to complete a questionnaire online,which included demographic characteristics,as well as the SCL-90-Anxiety,SCL-90-Depression,Chinese Perceived Stress Scale(CPSS),Herth hope Index(HHI),and Trait Coping Style Questionnaire(TCSQ).Hierarchical linear regression was performed to explore independent factors of anxiety/depression.A multi-group structural equation modeling with the collected data from patients in the Negative Coping style(NC)group and Positive Coping style(PC)group was used to test the hypothesized mechanism.Results:In total,382 valid questionnaires of patients were obtained,including 96 from NC patients and 286 from PC patients.In the hierarchical linear regression,hope and perceived stress were independent risk factors for both anxiety and depression in the total sample and PC group.However,hope was not independently related to anxiety/depression in the NC group.As hypothesized,the hope of patients had significant and negative indirect effects on both anxiety and depression that were mediated by perceived stress,However,the direct effect from stress on anxiety and depression was stronger for NC patients than for PC patients.Besides,hope had significant direct effects on anxiety/depression in PC patients,but not in NC patients.Conclusion:During the COVID-19 epidemic,perceived stress could mediate the relationship between hope and anxiety/depression symptoms among COVID-19 patients,with coping style moderating this cultivation process.

Academic procrastination among adolescents is an increasingly prominent problem. It is important to look forinfluences behind academic procrastination in the adolescent population. The present study aimed to revealthe explanatory mechanisms underlying the association between hope and academic procrastination behaviorsamong Chinese adolescents by testing the mediating role of attentional control and the moderating role of traitmindfulness. Participants in the current study were 1156 Chinese adolescents who completed self-report questionnaireson hope, attentional control, academic procrastination, and trait mindfulness. The results indicatedthat adolescent hope was negatively related to academic procrastination and that attentional control partiallymediated this association. In addition, trait mindfulness moderated the direct association between hope and academicprocrastination in the mediated model. In conclusion, identifying the mechanisms by which hope is associatedwith academic procrastination in adolescent populations is of potential value for the prevention of andintervention in this undesirable study habit.

It has been confirmed in previous studies that there is a positive correlation between physical activity and hope.In this study,rural left-behind children in China was taken as the participants to investigate the impact of physical activity on hope in rural left-behind children and examine the mediating role of perceived social support in the relationship between physical activity and hope.797 valid copies of the questionnaire were collected from China.Pearson correlation coefficient was employed to analyze the relationship between physical activity and hope;SEM and Bootstrap were used to test the mediating effect of perceived social support.The results show that physical activity can not only directly and positively predict the level of hope in rural leftbehind children but can also predict the level of hope through perceived social support;perceived social support plays a mediating role in the relationship between physical activity and hope.These results highlight the necessity to pay more attention to the physical activity of left-behind children and the possibility to improve the level of hope by increasing their physical activity;at the same time,the acquisition of more material,emotional and psychological support from teachers and guardians is more conducive to improving the sense of hope in left-behind children.These findings can deepen the understanding of the sense of hope in left-behind children,and provide new methods for and enlightenments on improving the level of hope in left-behind children.

Background:The level of self-care of hemodialysis patients is important in controlling the disease process and symptoms.Nursing care has an important place in the process of resolving existing or developing problems of patients receiving hemodialysis treatment and in adapting to treatment.Prayer is not only a resource that encourages religious/spiritual coping,it is also a spirituality that strengthens hope.Objective:The objective of this study is to determine whether prayer has an effect on self-care agency and hope in hemodialysis patients.Materials and Methods:This is a descriptive and correlational study which was conducted with 180 patients in a private and a public dialysis center.The data of 173 hemodialysis patients who met the inclusion criteria were collected using personal information form,Herth hope Scale,Self-care Agency Scale,and Prayer Attitude Scale.Results:A positive,moderate,and statistically significant correlation was found between the Prayer Attitude Scale and total score(r=0.144,P=0.048)and sub-scale future(r=0.350,P=0.000)of Herth hope Scale.And there was positive correlation between the Prayer Attitude Scale and the total score of Self-care Agency Scale(r=0.599,P=0.000)and its five sub-dimensions drug use(r=0.566,P=0.000),diet(r=0.619,P=0.000),self-monitoring(r=0.522,P=0.000),hygienic care(r=0.576,P=0.000)and mental status(r=0.328,P=0.000).Conclusions:The study found that prayer had a positive effect on self-care agency and hope in hemodialysis patients.

Background Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers in women, and its incidence seems to have gradually increased every year. During the treatment of breast cancer, patients suffer psychological morbidity, and hope is one important factor in maintaining psychological health. Therefore, in this study, we investigated the level of hope in Chinese women with breast cancer during chemotherapy and confirmed the relationships among hope, coping style, and social support.Methods One hundred and fifty-nine inpatients with breast cancer who were undergoing chemotherapy in two affiliated hospitals of Harbin Medical University were recruited and investigated. Each patient completed the Herth hope Index （HHI）, Jalowiec Coping Scale （JCS）, and the social support scale made by XIAO Shui-yuan, and provided general demographic data.Results The mean hope level of the 159 patients with breast cancer was 38.62±4.56. There was a statistical difference between the hope level and monthly income. Analysis of results from the Pearson test showed no relationship between the hope level and coping style; however, there were positive relationships between hope and optimism, hope and self-reliance, and hope and palliative coping styles. In contrast, negative relationships were found between hope and the fatalistic and emotional coping styles. The total score of hope and social support had significantly positive relationship for the three scales.Conclusions Patients with breast cancer achieved high levels of hope, with the level of hope being proportional to increase in the income. During chemotherapy, patients with breast cancer had adopted many coping styles.

Helicobacterpylori （1f. pylori） infection causes peptic and duodenal diseases in humans. Among a 32-protein family of outer membrane proteins, a porin-like protein, hope, has been a subject of note, mainly for its conservative nature among 11. pylori, and for its potential as a vaccine candidate. To achieve stable surface expression of this host cell-toxic protein, hope gene was introduced into pBAD expression system. After induction with arabinose, all 15 randomly-chosen E. coli LMG 194 colonies from 3 successive passages could express hope protein, while only 1 from 5 E. coli colonies that contained lac operon-regulated plasmid encoding hope gene could express hope. Indirect immunofluorescence confirmed the expression of hope on E. coli cell surface

Illness narratives are stories of illness told by patients with chronic illness. One way of studying illness narratives is by considering illness narrative master plots.An examination of illness narrative master plots has revealed the importance of psycho-emotional information contained within the story that is told. There is a need for research to capture this information in order to better understand how common stories and experiences of illness can be understood and used to aid the mental well-being of individuals with chronic illness. The current editorial provides a suggestion of how this is possible. This editorial identifies that stories can be "mapped" graphically by combining emotional responses to the illness experience with psychological responses of the illness experience relating to hope and psychological adaptation. Clinicians and researchers should consider the evidence presented within this editorial as:(1) A possible solution for documenting the mental wellbeing of individuals with chronic illness; and(2) As a tool that can be used to consider changes in mental well-being following an intervention. Further research using this tool will likely provide insights into how illness narrative master plots are associated together and change across the course of a chronic illness. This is particularly important for illness narrative master plots that are difficult to tell or that are illustrative of a decline in mental well-being.
