Free convection in hybrid nanomaterial-saturated permeable media is crucial in various engineering *** present study aims to investigate the free convection of an aqueous-based hybrid nanomaterial through a zone under the combined effect of the Lorentz force and *** natural convection of the hybrid nanomaterial is modeled by implementing a control volume finite element method(CVFEM)-based code,whereas Darcy assumptions are used to model the porosity terms in the momentum buoyancy equation involving the average Nusselt number Nu_(ave),flow streamlines,and isotherm profiles.A formula for estimating Nu_(ave) is *** results show that the magnetic force retards the flow,and the fluid tends to attract the magnetic field ***_(ave) is directly correlated with the Rayleigh number and radiation;however,it is indirectly dependent on the hartmann *** is the dominant mode at larger Darcy and hartmann numbers.

In recent years,the emergence of nanotechnology experienced incredible development in the field of medical *** the past decade,investigating the characteristics of nanoparticles during fluid flow has been one of the intriguing *** distribution and uniformity have emerged as substantial criteria in both medical and engineering *** effects of chemotherapy on healthy tissues are known to be a significant concern during cancer therapy.A novel treatment method of magnetic drug targeting(MDT)has emerged as a promising topical cancer treatment along with some attractive advantages of improving efficacy,fewer side effects,and reduce drug *** magnetic drug targeting,the appropriate movement of nanoparticles(magnetic)as carriers is essential for the therapeutic process in the blood clot removal,infection treatment,and tumor cell *** this study,we have numerically investigated the behavior of an unsteady blood flowinfused with magnetic nanoparticles during MDT under the influence of a uniform external magnetic field in a *** optimal homotopy asymptotic method(OHAM)is employed to compute the governing equation for unsteady electromagnetohydrodynamics *** influence of hartmann number(Ha),particle mass parameter(G),particle concentration parameter(R),and electro-osmotic parameter(k)is investigated on the velocity of magnetic nanoparticles and blood *** obtained show that the electro-osmotic parameter,along with hartmann’s number,dramatically affects the velocity of magnetic nanoparticles,blood flow velocity,and flow ***,results also reveal that at a higher Hartman number,homogeneity in nanoparticles distribution improved *** particle concentration andmass parameters effectively influence the capturing effect on nanoparticles in the blood flow using a micro-tube for magnetic drug ***,investigation also indicates that the OHAM analysis is efficient and quick to h

The magneto-hydrodynamics(MHD)effect is studied at different inclined angles in Rayleigh-Bénard(RB)convection inside a rectangular enclosure using the lattice Boltzmann method(LBM).The enclosure is filled with electrically conducting fluids of different *** characteristics are defined by Prandtl number,*** considered Pr values for this study are 10 and *** influence of other dimensionless parameters Rayleigh numbers Ra=10^(3);10^(4);10^(5);10^(6) and hartmann numbers Ha=0,10,25,50,100,on fluid flow and heat transfer,are also investigated considering different inclined anglesφof magnetic field by analyzing computed local Nusselt numbers and average Nusselt *** results of the study show the undoubted prediction capability of LBM for the current *** simulated results demonstrate that the augmentation in heat transfer is directly related to Ra values,but it is opposite while observing the characteristics of Ha ***,it is also found thatφhas a significant impact on heat transfer for different ***,isotherms are found to be always parallel to the horizontal axis at Ra=10^(3) as conduction overcomes the convection in the heat transfer,but this behaviour is not seen at Ra=10^(4) when Ha>***,at Ra=10^(6),oscillatory instability appears but LBM is still able to provide a complete map of this predicted beha*** appropriate validation with previous numerical studies demonstrates the accuracy of the present approach.

This study is devoted to investigate the effect of induced magnetic field on fully developed magnetohydrodynamic(MHD)natural convection flow of electrically conducting fluid in a vertical annular micro-channel formed by two concentric cylinders in the presence of imposed radial magnetic *** velocity slip and temperature jump at the annular micro-channel surfaces are taken into *** influence of induced magnetic field arising due to the motion of an electrically conducting fluid is taken into *** governing equations of the motion are a set of simultaneous ordinary differential equations and their exact solutions in dimensionless form have been obtained under relevant boundary *** expressions for velocity field,the induced magnetic field,temperature field,induced current density and skin friction have been obtained.A parametric study of the physical parameters is conducted and a representative set of numerical results for the velocity field,the induced magnetic field,temperature,induced current density,volume flow rate and skin friction are illustrated graphically to show interesting features of the radius ratio,rarefaction,fluid wall interaction,hartmann number and the magnetic Prandtl *** the course of investigation,it is found that for fixed value of hartmann number,the skin friction profiles in the presence of induced magnetic field are higher compared to the case when the induced magnetic field is neglected.

The present work is devoted to investigating heat transfer and fluid flow in a two dimensional square open cavity containing a heated circular cylinder at the centre. A constant heat flux is set at the left sidewall;high and low temperatures are fixed at the bottom and top walls of the cavity respectively. The right side of the cavity is open. Galerkin Weighted Residual Finite Element Analysis is used to visualize the heat transfer and fluid flow solving two-dimensional governing mass, momentum and energy equations for steady state, heat transfer and fluid flow in presence of magnetic field in side an open square cavity. A uniformly heated circular cylinder is placed at the centre of the cavity as a heat source. To find the effects of Rayleigh number (Ra) on the thermal fields and fluid flow in presence of magnetic field and a heated circular cylinder as heat source by visualization and line graphs is the objective of this study. Numerical results are presented in graphical and tabular form. The study is conducted for different values of Rayleigh number, some fixed hartmann numbers (Ha) and heat flux (q). In the conclusion it has been observed that the temperature field and fluid flow pattern are functions of the parameters Rayleigh number and hartmann number.

In this paper,the basic equations of two-phase liquid metal flow in a magnetic field are de- rived,and specifically,two-phase liquid metal MHD flow in a rectangular channel is studied,and the expres- sions of velocity distribution of liquid and gas phases and the ratio K_0 of the pressure drop in two-phase MHD flow to that in single-phase are *** of calculation show that the ratio K_0 is smaller than unity and decreases with increasing void fraction and hartmann number because the effective electrical conduc- tivity in the two-phase case decreases.

The phenomena of magneto-hydrodynamic natural convection in a two-dimensional semicircular top enclosure with triangular obstacle in the rectangular cavity were studied numerically. The governing differential equations are solved by using the most important method which is finite element method (weighted-residual method). The top wall is placed at cold Tc and bottom wall is heated Th. Here the sidewalls of the cavity assumed adiabatic. Also all the wall are occupied to be no-slip condition. A heated triangular obstacle is located at the center of the cavity. The study accomplished for Prandtl number Pr = 0.71;the Rayleigh number Ra = 103, 105, 5 × 105, 106 and for hartmann number Ha = 0, 20, 50, 100. The results represent the streamlines, isotherms, velocity and temperature fields as well as local Nusselt number.
