Two direct dyes were applied to conventional viscose(CV)and bamboo viscose(BV)fibers,which were prepared from bamboo cellulose pulps,and the dyeing kinetics of two fibers were *** kinetic equations,namely Chrastil,Cegarra-Puente,and Vickerstaff,were used to fit the experimental dyeing rate points,showing that the best result was obtained by the Chrastil *** fibers displayed slightly higher dyeing rates and dye adsorption values at initial stages,but a bit lower dye adsorption values at equilibrium than CV ***,the dyeing of BV fibers exhibited lower activation energies and higher dyeing rate constants than that of CV fibers,and therefore showed slightly lower dependence on temperature.

In this paper, dyeing processes of silk-like fabric of ultra-fine polyester fiber are studied through orthogonal experiment, dyeing properties (K/S value, L* value, and C* value) of the fabric are tested under different dyeing conditions (pH value, time, and bath ratlo), and optimum dyeing conditions are arrived at through analysis.

Based on the analysis of the structure and properties of gardenia, the gardenia was extracted in neutral bath. The mordant dyeing of cotton, including pre-mordant, one-bath and post-mordant were studied, and the dyeing properties such as dye K/S value and color fastness were investigated. According to the structure and property of mordants including alum, copper sulfate, iron sulfate and rare earth, the interaction mechanisms among gardenia, mordant and cotton fibers were analyzed and the processing factors affecting the mordant dyeing were discussed. As a result, gardenia showed favorable dyeing performance on cotton. The soaping color fastness and crocking fastness were improved by 0.5-1 grade after fixation process with the selected dye-fixing agent and optimized process conditions. The dyeing process and fixation process were optimized.

The role of auxiliary LAB as vehicle in dyeing polyester/wool blends with disperse dyes is described. Dye exhaustion and bonding on polyester/wool samples are studied under different experimental conditions - the LAB amount, the temperature and pH value- to achieve optimum conditions. The results are compared with those obtained with and without conventional dyeing auxiliary products. Although dye exhaustion is higher in the presence of commercial carriers, the dye bonded increases markedly in the presence of auxiliary LAB in both fibers. The role played by auxiliary LAB in polyester/wool blend dyeing can provide a new method for this process.

In this paper, the absorbable organic halogen (AOX) amounts in the effluents from Lanasol reactive wool dyeing were determined using DIN 38409 H14 methods and compared with the remaining chromophore concentratlons which were determined spectrophotometrically. It was found that the dyes remaining in the dyeing effluents did result in AOX concentratiom. By measuring the adsorption rates of Lanasol dyes on activated charcoal at different temperatures and pH values, the maximum adsorption on activated charcoal and optimum adsorption conditions of the Lanasol reactive dyes were determined. The experiments showed that the AOX values of the dyes measured by these two methods were not in *** reasons for this observation are discussed.

A brief review of textile dyeing was made with focuses on the achievements, developing trend, especially on eco-dyeing, dyeing of new fibers and multicomponent fabrics and some new dyeing techniques were introduced in combination with the research results of the author. A forecast on the dyeing in the future assumed that, apart from developing eco-dyeing, new fibers and new materials will emerge faster, non-water and water saving dyeing methods will become ripe, information network more popular and dyeing highly automatic. The researcher also assumed that bionic coloring, including the multifunctional dyeing, color formation from coloring matter and structure, will greatly improve the dyeing result and the level of textile dyeing.

The dyeing of wool, silk, cotton, ramie, nylon, acrylic and polyester fabric by using the extracts from mulberry branches and trunks was tried and the dyeability was studied. While the dyeability of the ethanol-extracts from mulberry is low, that of the water-extracts is high for wool, nylon and silk fabrics. They are dyed brownish and yellowish colours. The obtained colours depend on the extracts concentration in the dye solution, dyeing time, dye solution pH and dyeing temperature. Wool, nylon and silk fabrics are dyed deeper with an increase in the dyeing temperature. The mulberry extracts show fluorescence and reducing property. The results indicate that the mulberry extracts contain flavonols such as morin, kaempferol or quercetin, which form complexes with Al3+ and show fluorescence. The wool treated with the mulberry extracts or AlCl3/mulberry extracts shows fluorescence with ultraviolet light irradiation.
