30 cases of benzene—induced leukopenia were treated with acupuncture atpoints Dazhui(GV14),Mingmen(GV4),Zusanli(ST36),Sanyinjiao(SP6)and Taixi(KI3).Results showed that acupuncture was better than rubidatum in improving clinical symp-toms,increasing leukocyte count and obtaining curative rate,through comparison betweenacupuncture and control groups.

The article gives Professor Wei’s experience of using theory of mutual reinforce-ing therapies in acupuncture and moxibustion on treating asthma. There are different 8 kinds of thera-pies such as acupuncture, plum-blossom needles, embedding of catgut in point, cupping on Ashipoint, external application on points, suppurative moxibustion, injection in points, etc. All of thesemethods have both advantages and backdraws. Prof. Wei tells us how to make full use of them, sothat we are able to improve the curative effect to its possible extend. This theory is important not onlyin acupuncture and moxibustion but also in guiding our practice in other fields of T. C. M.

Despite the level of sophistication they have reached nowadays, the available tools for treatment of inflammatory bowel disease(IBD) can at best chronicize the disease but not cure it. Chances to make leap forward from this hold-back may include designs to reach personalized treatment strategies taking advantage of modern genome associated studies, and shift resources towards unfolding inciting pathogenetic steps rather than continuing to develop drugs that address down-stream phenomena. We have arbitrarily chosen to scrutinize a few projects that may make their way in 2015 and mark the history of IBD research. The list includes: the role of appendix as a regulating factor in pathogenesis of ulcerative colitis/proctitis; the reappraisal of(auto)immune phenomena in the era of microbiome; projects to treat IBD by stem cell infusion; recognition of the crucial pathogenetic role of gut microbiome, and attempts to modify it to treat enteric diseases, from clostridium difficile infection to IBD.

Objective:To investigate the possibility of increased antimalarial activity of Icacina senegalensis ***(Icacinaceae)upon a combination of its leaves and tubers against Plasmodium berghei malaria in ***:Chloroquine sensitive ANKA clones of Plasmodium berghei were used to develop experimental models based on intraperitoneal injection of 10^(7)parasitized erythrocytes in phosphate buffer saline(pH 7.2)and subsequent development of *** models were employed to investigate prophylactic and curative anti-malarial activities of tuber and tuberleaf methanol extracts of the plant at selected dosages(25,50 and 100 mg/kg body weight).Chloroquine with a curative dosage of 10 mg/kg body weight was used as positive control in both ***:Tuber and tuber-leaf extracts produced a dose-dependent chemosuppression of the parasites,with higher activity and mean survival time exhibited by the combined ***:Anti-plasmodia activity has been discovered in methanol extract of Icacina senegalensis tuber *** observed optimization of the antimalarial actions of the plant upon a combination of its leaf and tuber opens a new area of medicinal plant research.

The comparison of the efficacy of arteanninum, allicinum, tetracyclinum, neoarsphenamine, penicillinum G, streplomycini sulfate, sulfadiazinum in dogs infected eperythrozoosis was studied. The result showed that the arteanninum, allicinum, tetracyclinum, and neoarsphenamine had obviously therapeutic effect in inhibiting and sterilizing eperythrozoon, while penicillinum G, streplomycini sulfas, sulfadiazinum did not. The curative rate of arteanninum, allicinum, tetracyclinum and neoarsphenamine were 100%, 90%, 80%, 80% respectively. The success of applying arteanninum and allicinum in the treatment of eperythrozoonos has provided a novel feasible way and a theoretical probability for exploring the precious legacy of traditional Chinese medicine and pharmacology. It is the new treating method avoiding toxicosis or side effect of tetracylinum and neparshenamine, and treating human eperythrozoonosis.
