In this work,a modified polyurethane adhesive(PUA)was prepared to realize a convenient encapsulation strategy for lead sedimentation and attachable perovskite solar cells(A-PSCs).The modified PUA can completely self-heal within 45 min at room temperature with an efficient lead ion-blocking rate of 99.3%.The PUA film can be coated on a metal electrode with slight efficiency improvement from 23.96%to 24.15%.The thermal stability at 65℃and the humidity stability at 55%relative humidity(RH)are superior to the devices encapsulated with *** PUA film has strong adhesion to the flexible substrate and the initial efficiency of the flexible perovskite module(17.2%)encapsulated by PUA remains 92.6%within 1825 *** results suggest that PUA encapsulation is universal for rigid and flexible PSCs with enhanced stability and low lead ***,it was found that flexible PSCs can be well attached to various substrates with PUA,providing a facile route for the A-PSCs in various scenarios without additional encapsulation and installation.

Indonesia is one of the largest coconut-producing countries in the *** utilization of coconut shell waste into briquettes will increase the selling value and become a great export ***,the effect of adhesives on the quality of coconut shell charcoal briquettes made using screw extruder machine has not been widely *** study aims to determine the effect of adhesive type on the quality of coconut shell charcoal *** process of fabricating briquettes in this study included crushing,mixing,blending,pressing,and *** the mixing process,3 types of adhesives were used,namely tapioca flour(Briquette_1),cassava flour(Briquette_2),and modified cassava flour(Briquette_3)with a concentration of 5%of the weight of coconut shell charcoal *** quality of the resulting briquettes and commercial briquettes will be evaluated by moisture content,ash content,volatile matter,fixed carbon,calorific value,density,compressive,and drop test *** results of this research showed that the type of adhesive had a significant effect on the quality of the briquettes *** Briquette_1 had better quality than commercial briquettes(Briquette_4)and other briquette *** test results showed that Briquette_1 produced briquettes with better compressive strength and friability than the other specimens,at 6.95 N/mm^(2) and 4.44%,*** moisture content,ash content,fixed carbon,and calorific value of Briquette_1 have met the requirements set by the Indonesian National Standard(SNI)number ***,the volatile matter content and density of Briquette_1 are by the standards of Japan and the United States America(USA).

Based on commercially available polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) stabilised polyvinyl acetate (PVAc), emulsion adhesives are neither heat nor moisture-resistant and show weak strength at high relative humidity and high temperatures. Pre- or post-crosslinking is another method used to manufacture a conventional vinyl-based homopolymers or copolymers system with improved water resistance. Vinyl neodecanoate (VeoVa), N-methylolacrylamide (NMA), Methacrylamide, methacrylic acid (MAA), and other self-crosslinking comonomers are typically inserted to produce highly water-resistant vinyl based homopolymers or copolymers. Additionally, organic crosslinkers like glyoxal, glutaraldehyde, citric acid, tartaric acid, and the like, as well as inorganic crosslinkers like acidic metal salts like aluminium chloride, aluminium nitrate, boric acid, and the like, can be used to prepare the highly water-resistant vinyl based homopolymers or copolymers. It is also possible to combine the self-crosslinking comonomers with the organic crosslinkers. Recently, a different hybrid chemistry has been developed that improves lap shear strength, has outstanding water resistance, good durability, and doesn’t require any additional crosslinker agents. Two distinct polymers were combined to develop hybrid polymers. They usually involve mixing an organic polymer with a polymer. There are many capping agents that are used for polyurethanes to produce acrylics that are capped with polyurethane and used as an oligomer in PVAc wood glue. Here, in this paper, we reviewed the different hybrid chemistry based on polyurethane chemistry for wood bonding applications.

The goal is to develop a hybrid IPN network of polyvinyl acetate (PVAc) and ethylene-vinyl acetate (VAE). In this research work, the vinyl acetate (VAc)/ VAE hybrid emulsion and polyvinyl acetate emulsion (PVAc) were effectively synthesized. Emulsions with various characteristics have been developed by adjusting the weight ratios between the vinyl acetate monomer and the VAE component. The impacts on the mechanical, thermal, and physical properties of the films were investigated using tests for pencil hardness, tensile shear strength, pH, contact angle measurement, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and viscosity. When 5.0 weight percent VAE was added, the tensile shear strength in dry conditions decreased by 18.75% after a 24-hour bonding period, the heat resistance decreased by 26.29% (as per WATT 91) and the tensile shear strength decreased by approximately 36.52% in wet conditions (per EN 204). The pristine sample’s results were also confirmed by the contact angle test. The interpenetrating network (IPN) formation in hybrid PVAc emulsion as primary bonds does not directly attach to PVAc and VAE chains. The addition of VAE reduced the mechanical properties (at dry conditions) and heat resistance as per WATT 91. Contact angle analysis demonstrated that PVAc adhesives containing VAE had increased water resistance when compared to conventional PVA stabilised PVAc homopolymer-based adhesives. When compared to virgin PVAc Homo, the water resistance of the PVAc emulsion polymerization was enhanced by the addition of VAE.

Supramolecular adhesives that enable debonding on-demand are of significant research interest for the development of adaptive and smart materials,yet,biodegrable supramolecular adhesives have been rarely ***,telechelic,three-armed and four-armed CO_(2)-based polyols with close molecular weights and various content(or carbonate unite content)have been synthesized via a zinc-cobalt double metal cyanide complex catalyzed ring-opening copolymerization of CO_(2) and propylene oxide,and further exploited as sustainable and biodegradable building blocks for supramolecular polymers(SMPs)with 2-ureido-4[1H]-pyrimidinone(UPy)***,the orthogonal modulation of the CO_(2) content and the topology of CO_(2)-based polyols provide a unique opportunity to fine-tune the surface energy as well as the cohesive strength of the resulting CO_(2)-based ***,a three-armed SMP with 44%CO_(2)(3UPy-CO_(2)-44%)can well balance the trade-off between surface energy and cohesive strength,therefore bestowing a high adhesive strength of 7.5 and 9.7 MPa towards stainless steel and wood substrates respectively by testing the corresponding single lap ***,the light-responsive adhesion property of 3UPy-CO_(2)-44%has been demonstrated exemplarily by blending with a UV sensitizer.

With the rapid development of internet of things,self-powered touch sensors made of piezoelectric fluorinated polymers have attracted significant interest because they can constantly convert mechanical energy into electrical energy without external power ***,it is still challenging to fabricate fluorinated polymer films with good adhesion and high output performance with a large-scale and low-cost method while maintaining high transparency,which are extremely important for simultaneous optical detection and electromechanical *** this work,we demonstrate that the incorporation of a molecular ferroelectric-dabcoHReO_(4)(DH)into poly(vinylidene difluoride)(PVDF)solution enables high-throughput and low-temperature processing of flexible and transparent piezoelectric films by scalable processing *** effects of multiaxial DH are ***,DH can trigger the phase transition of PVDF fromα-toβ-phase and realize the orderly orientation of PVDF,which guarantees higher piezoelectric performance without any additional electrical poling ***,the hydrophilic nature of DH can improve the adhesion properties of PVDF,which in turn improve the stability and durability of the *** optimizing the fabrication processes,the transmittance of the piezoelectric touch sensors based on PVDF films and Ag nanowires coated poly(ethylene terephthalate)electrodes can be higher than 94%.The piezoelectric voltage constant g;of the transparent films can reach to 1.2 V·m·N;,which is at least three times higher than the commercially available PVDF films obtained by *** results indicate that the flexible piezoelectric sensors have potential applications in transparent electronic devices for mechanical sensing and energy harvesting.

Accurate quantification of external force is the key to improve the high-precision hemming of autobody closure ***,the mechanism of external force on forming quality of complex contour sheet metal with adhesive is not clear subjected to geometric curvature and *** the present study,taking the curved edge aluminum sheet as the research object,SPH(smooth particle hydrodynamics)is introduced to simulate the viscous adhesive,and the SPH-FEM(Finite element method)coupling model of adhesive and panels considering the viscosity-pressure effect is *** numerical simulation of the roller hemming process is carried out,then the validity and reliability of the proposed method are verified by measuring the external force in real time using triaxial force *** multi-step forming process and the effect of external force on the roll in/out,surface wave and plastic strain of aluminum alloy sheet under the viscosity-pressure effect are studied,and the relationship between process parameters and external force is *** show that the coupling SPH-FEM model can well reflect the hemming process of curved edge *** normal force is about 2–3 times of the tangential force in the pre and final hemming *** with the case without adhesive,the surface wave of flange part of the hemming with adhesive is slightly *** normal force and the tangential force increase about 90 N and 30 N respectively,when the height increases by 1 *** provides an important basis for the accurate control of hemming trajectory and the improvement of manufacturing quality of autobody closure panels.
