Haliotis discus hannai is an important marine economic species in *** egg color was found to be associated with economic traits,which provides a new idea for ***,the molecular mechanism of the egg-color formation has not been ***,the pigment composition and comparative transcriptome analyses of *** hannai with green and gray egg color were conducted using high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC)and RNA-Seq *** show that individuals with green and gray eggs both possess the *** existed in gray-egged individuals,but not in green-egged *** transcriptome analysis,272310 unigenes were received from 461162 transcripts with a mean length of 985 bp and N50 of 1524 bp,respectively.A total of 185 unigenes were identifi ed as diff erentially expressed genes(DEGs).The DEGs involved in“fl avin-containing compound metabolic process”,“melanosome”,“glutathione metabolism”,and“cytochrome b6f complex”were likely related to the formation of the egg *** results provide foundational information for the functional analysis of egg-color related genes and are benefi cial to the selective breeding of *** hannai.

Bioaccumulation and function analysis of glutathione S-transferase isoforms in Manila clam Ruditapes philippinarum exposed to different kinds of PAHs

This study analyzed the function of different glutathione S-transferase(GST)isoforms and detoxification metabolism responses in Manila clam,Ruditapes philippinarum,exposed to 4 kinds of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs)single,and their mixtures for 15 days under laboratory conditions.13 kinds of GSTs in *** were classified,and the results of tissue distribution indicated that 12 kinds of GSTs(except GST sigma 3)expressed most in digestive *** detected the m RNA expression levels of aryl hydrocarbon receptor signaling pathway,and detoxification system in digestive glands of clams exposed to benzo[a]pyrene(Ba P),chrysene(CHR),benzo[a]anthracene(Ba A),benzo[b]fluoranthene(Bb F),and Ba P+CHR+Ba A+Bb F,*** these genes,we selected GST-sigma,GST-omega and GST-pi as potential indicators to Ba P;GST-sigma,GST-A and GST-rho to CHR;GST-pi,GST-sigma,GST-A,GST-rho and GST-microsomal to Ba A;GST-theta and GST-mu to Bb F;while GST-pi and GST-mu to the mixture of Ba P,CHR,Ba A and Bb ***,the bioaccumulation of PAHs in tissues increased remarkably over time,and showed an obvious *** the same concentration,the bioaccumulation in single exposure group was higher than that in mixture group,and the bioaccumulation of PAHs in tissues with different concentrations of stress was *** results revealed the metabolic differences and bioaccumulation rules in clams exposed to four kinds of PAHs,and provided more valuable information for the PAHs risk assessment.

Mechanisms controlling phosphorus(P) availability and the roles of microorganisms in the efficient utilization of soil P in the wheat–maize double cropping system are poorly *** the present study,we conducted a pot experiment for four consecutive wheat–maize seasons(2016–2018) using calcareous soils with high(30.36 mg kg^(–1)) and low(9.78 mg kg^(–1)) initial Olsen-P content to evaluate the effects of conventional P fertilizer application to both wheat and maize(Pwm) along with a reduced P fertilizer application only to wheat(Pw).The microbial community structure along with soil P availability parameters and crop yield were *** results showed that the Pw treatment reduces the annual P input by 33.3% without affecting the total yield for at least two consecutive years as compared with the Pwm treatment in the high Olsen-P *** water-soluble P concentrations in the Pw treatment were similar to those in the Pwm treatment at the 12-leaf collar stage when maize requires the most ***,the soil P content significantly affected soil microbial communities,especially fungal ***,the relative abundances of Proteobacteria and alkaline phosphatase(ALP) activity of Pw were significantly higher(by 11.4 and 13.3%) than those of Pwm in soil with high *** microfloral contribution to yield was greater than that of soil P content in soil with high *** abundances of Bacillus and Rhizobium were enriched in the Pw treatment compared with the Pwm *** showed a significant positive correlation with acid phosphatase(ACP) activity,and Rhizobium displayed significant positive correlations with ACP and ALP in soil with high Olsen-P,which may enhance P *** findings suggested that the application of P fertilization only to wheat is practical in high P soils to ensure optimal production in the wheat and maize double cropping system and that the soil P availability and microbial community may collabo

Rumen microbes play an important role in ruminant energy supply and animal *** studies showed that yak(Bos grunniens)rumen microbiome and fermentation differ from other ***,little is understood about the features of the rumen microbiome that make yak adapted to their unique environmental and dietary *** study was to investigate the rumen microbiome and metabolome to understand how yak adapt to the coarse forage and harsh environment in the Qinghai-Tibetan *** female Qaidam yellow cattle(Bos taurus),9 dzomo(hybrids of cattle and yak)and 9 female plateau yak(***),about 5 to 6 years old,were used in this *** fermentation parameters,fibrolytic enzyme activities,and rumen metataxonomic were *** 18(6 samples per group)were selected for rumen metagenomic and metabolome *** analysis revealed that the rumen microbiota was significantly different among plateau yak,Qaidam yellow cattle,and dzomo(P<0.05).Metagenomic analysis displayed a larger gene pool encoding a richer repertoire of carbohydrate-active enzymes in the rumen microbiome of plateau yak and dzomo than Qaidam yellow cattle(P<0.05).Some of the genes encoding glycoside hydrolases that mediate the digestion of cellulose and hemicellulose were significantly enriched in the rumen of plateau yak than Qaidam yellow cattle,but glycoside hydrolase 57 that primarily includes amylases was abundant in Qaidam yellow cattle(P<0.05).The rumen fermentation profile differed also,Qaidam yellow cattle having a higher molar proportion of acetate but a lower molar proportion of propionate than dzomo and plateau yak(P<0.05).Based on metabolomic analysis,rumen microbial metabolic pathways and metabolites were *** metabolites are mainly amino acids,carboxylic acids,sugars,and bile *** in rumen microbial composition could explain the above *** present study showed that the rumen microbiome of plateau yak h

Mechanical properties and interfacial characteristics of 6061 Al alloy plates fabricated by hot-roll bonding

This work aims to investigate the mechanical properties and interfacial characteristics of 6061 Al alloy plates fabricated by hotroll bonding(HRB)based on friction stir *** results showed that ultimate tensile strength and total elongation of the hot-rolled and aged joints increased with the packaging vacuum,and the tensile specimens fractured at the matrix after exceeding 1 ***-equilibrium grain boundaries were formed at the hot-rolled interface,and a large amount of Mg_(2)Si particles were linearly precipitated along the interfacial grain boundaries(IGBs).During subsequent heat treatment,Mg_(2)Si particles dissolved back into the matrix,and Al_(2)O_(3) film remaining at the interface eventually evolved into *** addition,the local IGBs underwent staged elimination during HRB,which facilitated the interface healing due to the fusion of grains at the *** process was achieved by the dissociation,emission,and annihilation of dislocations on the IGBs.

Plant-and microbe-assisted biochar amendment technology for petroleum hydrocarbon remediation in saline-sodic soils: A review

Soil degradation through salinization and pollution by toxic compounds such as petroleum hydrocarbons(PHCs) in the coastal wetlands has become a significant threat to ecosystem health, biodiversity, and food security. However, traditional remediation technologies can generate secondary pollutants, incur high operating costs, and consume significant quantities of energy. Bioremediation, using plants, biochar, and microbes, is an innovative and cost-effective option to remediate contaminated soils. Biochar, as a plant/microbe growth enhancer, is a promising green approach for the sustainable phytoremediation of PHCs in salinized soils. This review therefore summarizes the effect of plant-and microbe-assisted biochar amendment technology for the remediation of PHCs and salinization. Plant-microbe interactions mediated rhizodegradation despite increasing hydrocarbon sorption. Overall, microbial respiration is more active in biochar amendments, due to faster biodegradation of PHCs and improved soil properties. The use of biochar, plants, and microbes is recommended,as it offers a practical and sustainable option, both ecologically and economically, for the remediation of PHCs and excess salinity. Further development of new green technologies is to be encouraged.

A Sharding Scheme Based on Graph Partitioning Algorithm for Public Blockchain

Blockchain technology,with its attributes of decentralization,immutability,and traceability,has emerged as a powerful catalyst for enhancing traditional industries in terms of optimizing business ***,transaction performance and scalability has become the main challenges hindering the widespread adoption of *** to its inability to meet the demands of high-frequency trading,blockchain cannot be adopted in many *** improve the transaction capacity,researchers have proposed some on-chain scaling technologies,including lightning networks,directed acyclic graph technology,state channels,and shardingmechanisms,inwhich sharding emerges as a potential scaling ***,excessive cross-shard transactions and uneven shard workloads prevent the sharding mechanism from achieving the expected *** paper proposes a graphbased sharding scheme for public blockchain to efficiently balance the transaction *** crossshard transactions and evening-out workloads among shards,the scheme reduces transaction confirmation latency and enhances the transaction capacity of the ***,the scheme can achieve a high-frequency transaction as well as a better blockchain *** results show that the scheme effectively reduces the cross-shard transaction ratio to a range of 35%-56%and significantly decreases the transaction confirmation latency to 6 s in a blockchain with no more than 25 shards.

In order to ensure the safety of fluid flow in deep-water submarine pipelines,a safe and energy-saving built-in skin effect electric heat tracing technology was adopted as the thermal management *** magnetic field distribution of built-in skin effect heating system is analyzed based on the mechanism of built-in skin effect heating system,so as to obtain the equivalent circuit model of built-in skin effect electric heating ***,heating power is introduced as an intermediate variable to establish the relationship between power supply frequency and built-in skin effect heating *** at the skin effect electric heating system,an Active Disturbance Rejection Control(ADRC)method is proposed macroscopically based on Hammerstein ***,the parameters of Hammerstein model are identified and optimized using the auxiliary model and standard particle swarm optimization ***,the ADRC controller of linear link is designed,and the required heating temperature is used to solve the intermediate variable heating ***,inversion calculation is applied in the nonlinear link to solve the required power frequency,so as to achieve the purpose of efficient heating and verify the feasibility and effectiveness of control strategy through simulation.

LRG1 promotes corneal angiogenesis and lymphangiogenesis in a corneal alkali burn mouse model

AIM:To investigate the potential effect and mechanism of leucine-richα-2-glycoprotein-1(LRG1)on corneal angiogenesis and ***:Corneal neovascularization and lymphatics were induced by establishing alkali burn mouse *** staining was performed to detect the location of LRG1 in cornea tissues and to verify the source of LRG1-positive *** whole-mount staining for CD31(a panendothelial cell marker)and lymphatic endothelial hyluronan receptor-1(LYVE-1;lymphatic marker)was performed to detect the growth of blood and lymphatic vessels after local application of exogenous LRG1 protein or LRG1 si *** addition,expressions of the proangiogenic vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)related proteins were detected using Western blot ***:LRG1 was dramatically increased in alkali burned corneal stroma in both the limbal and central ***1-positive cells in the corneal stroma were mainly derived from Vimentin-positive *** application ofexogenous LRG1 protein not only aggravated angiogenesis but also lymphangiogenesis significantly(P<0.01).LRG1 group upregulated the levels of VEGF and the vascular endothelial growth factor receptor(VEGFR)family when compared with the phosphate-buffered saline(PBS)control *** also found that LRG1-specific si RNA could suppress corneal angiogenesis and lymphangiogenesis when compared with the scramble si RNA-treated group(P<0.01).CONCLUSION:LRG1 can facilitate corneal angiogenesis and lymphangiogenesis through heightening the stromal expression of VEGF-A,B,C,D and VEGFR-1,2,3;LRG1-specific si RNA can suppress corneal angiogenesis and lymphangiogenesis in corneal alkali burn mice.
