Epithelial-mesenchymal transition is a well-defined,reversible process in which epithelial cells lose their epithelial phenotype and acquire mesenchymal-like ***-mesenchymal transition contributes significantly to the metastasis,invasion,and development of treatment resistance in cancer *** have been many studies on suppression of tumor epithelial-mesenchymal transition by Chinese medicine in recent years,mainly based on Chinese herbal drug monomers and *** this review,we aim to describe the research progress on Chinese medicine in the t ransforming growth factor beta(T GF-β)sig naling pathway,we hope these will provide some guidance for further research on Chinese medicine targeting epithelial-mesenchymal transition.

Properties of ten-year-aged argon oxygen decarburization stainless steel slag

The characteristics of argon oxygen decarburization slag(AODS)for smelting stainless steel that has been aged for 10 years were *** types of AODSs distributed at three positions in a slag heap were sampled for comparison *** analysis,mineral phase identification,thermogravimetric analysis,and micromorphology analysis were used to study the element migration trends and carbonation behavior of AODS after long-term *** leaching tests were performed to study the chromium leachability of the aged *** results show that during the long-term aging process,the AODS heap had undergone oxidation and carbonation,accompanied by element migration and mineralogical *** surface slag had the highest degree of carbonation but the weakest chromium *** chemical composition of the middle slag was the closest to that of the original *** the bottom steel slag,in addition to magnesium,certain depositions of other elements were *** matrix phases in the aged slag were dicalcium silicate and merwinite,and the chromium was mainly wrapped in these matrix phases in the form of oxides,spinels,or *** the combined effects of carbonation and oxidation,the leaching characteristics of the chromium in the aged slag varied greatly depending on the *** bottom slag had the strongest chromium leachability,and the hexavalent chromium had long-term continuous leachability.

Distributed Model Predictive Load Frequency Control of Multi-area Power System with DFIGs

Reliable load frequency control LFC is crucial to the operation and design of modern electric power systems. Considering the LFC problem of a four-Area interconnected power system with wind turbines, this paper presents a distributed model predictive control DMPC based on coordination scheme. The proposed algorithm solves a series of local optimization problems to minimize a performance objective for each control area. The generation rate constraints GRCs, load disturbance changes, and the wind speed constraints are considered. Furthermore, the DMPC algorithm may reduce the impact of the randomness and intermittence of wind turbine effectively. A performance comparison between the proposed controller with and without the participation of the wind turbines is carried out. Analysis and simulation results show possible improvements on closed-loop performance, and computational burden with the physical constraints. © 2014 Chinese Association of Automation.

Effect of bortezomib on migration and invasion in cervical carcinoma HeLa cell

Objective:To explore the effect of bortezomib on migration and invasion of cervical carcinoma HeLa cell and specific molecular ***:The effect of bortezomib on the viability of HeLa cell was measured by MTT *** effect of bortezomib on cell migration and invasion was measured by Transwell assay and invasion experiment *** activation of Akt/mTOR signaling pathway and expression level of MMP2,MMP9 were assayed by western ***:MTT assay indicated bortezomib(2.5 μM.5 μM,10 μM)could inhibit HeLa cell viability,and the inhibitory rate was highest at 48 *** assay and invasion experiment results showed that bortezomib inhibited HeLa cell migration and *** blotting assays presented bortezomib could suppress the phosphorylation of Akt and *** down-regulate the expression of MMP2 and ***:These results suggested bortezomib could inhibit migration and invasion in cervical carcinoma HeLa cell,which might be related to Akt/mTOR signal pathway.
