This paper highlights the crucial role of Indonesia’s GNSS receiver network in advancing Equatorial Plasma Bubble(EPB)studies in Southeast and East Asia,as ionospheric irregularities within EPB can disrupt GNSS signals and degrade positioning *** by the Indonesian Geospatial information Agency(BIG),the Indonesia Continuously Operating Reference Station(Ina-CORS)network comprises over 300 GNSS receivers spanning equatorial to southern low-latitude ***-CORS is uniquely situated to monitor EPB generation,zonal drift,and dissipation across Southeast *** provide a practical tool for EPB research,by sharing two-dimensional rate of Total Electron Content(TEC)change index(ROTI)derived from this *** generate ROTI maps with a 10-minute resolution,and samples from May 2024 are publicly available for further scientific *** preliminary findings from the ROTI maps of Ina-CORS are ***,the Ina-CORS ROTI maps reveal that the irregularities within a broader EPB structure persist longer,increasing the potential for these irregularities to migrate farther ***,we demonstrate that combined ROTI maps from Ina-CORS and GNSS receivers in East Asia and Australia can be used to monitor the development of ionospheric irregularities in Southeast and East *** have demonstrated the combined ROTI maps to capture the development of ionospheric irregularities in the Southeast/East Asian sector during the G5 Geomagnetic Storm on May 11,*** observed simultaneous ionospheric irregularities in Japan and Australia,respectively propagating northwestward and southwestward,before midnight,whereas Southeast Asia’s equatorial and low-latitude regions exhibited irregularities *** sharing ROTI maps from Indonesia and integrating them with regional GNSS networks,researchers can conduct comprehensive EPB studies,enhancing the understanding of EPB behavior across Southeast and East Asia and contributing significantly to ionosphe

A Collaborative Broadcast Content Recording System Using Distributed Personal Video Recorders

Personal video recorders (PVRs) have altered the way users consume television (TV) content by allowing users to record programs and watch them at their convenience, overcoming the constraints of live broadcasting. However, standalone PVRs are limited by their individual storage capacities, restricting the number of programs they can store. While online catch-up TV services such as Hulu and Netflix mitigate this limitation by offering on-demand access to broadcast programs shortly after their initial broadcast, they require substantial storage and network resources, leading to significant infrastructural costs for service providers. To address these challenges, we propose a collaborative TV content recording system that leverages distributed PVRs, combining their storage into a virtual shared pool without additional costs. Our system aims to support all concurrent playback requests without service interruption while ensuring program availability comparable to that of local devices. The main contributions of our proposed system are fourfold. First, by sharing storage and upload bandwidth among PVRs, our system significantly expands the overall recording capacity and enables simultaneous recording of multiple programs without the physical constraints of standalone devices. Second, by utilizing erasure coding efficiently, our system reduces the storage space required for each program, allowing more programs to be recorded compared to traditional replication. Third, we propose an adaptive redundancy scheme to control the degree of redundancy of each program based on its evolving playback demand, ensuring high-quality playback by providing sufficient bandwidth for popular programs. Finally, we introduce a contribution-based incentive policy that encourages PVRs to actively participate by contributing resources, while discouraging excessive consumption of the combined storage pool. Communication Between Speech Production and Perception Within the Brain--Observation and Simulation

Realization of an intelligent human-machine interface requires us to investigate human mechanisms and learn from them. This study focuses on communication between speech production and perception within human brain and realizing it in an artificial system. A physiological research study based on electromyographic signals （Honda, 1996） suggested that speech communication in human brain might be based on a topological mapping between speech production and perception, according to an analogous topology between motor and sensory representations. Following this hypothesis, this study first investigated the topologies of the vowel system across the motor, kinematic, and acoustic spaces by means of a model simulation, and then examined the linkage between vowel production and perception in terms of a transformed auditory feedback （TAF） experiment. The model simulation indicated that there exists an invariant mapping from muscle activations （motor space） to articulations （kinematic space） via a coordinate consisting of force-dependent equilibrium positions, and the mapping from the motor space to kinematic space is unique. The motor-kinematic-acoustic deduction in the model simulation showed that the topologies were compatible from one space to another. In the TAF experiment, vowel production exhibited a compensatory response for a perturbation in the feedback sound. This implied that vowel production is controlled in reference to perception monitoring.

Antidiabetic activity of methanolic bark extract of Alhizia odoratissima *** alloxan induced diabetic albino mice

Objective:To evaluate the antidiabetic potential of methanolic extract of Albizia odoratissima *** in alloxan induced diabetic ***:Group-Ⅰ(normal control) mice received only basal diet without any *** Group-Ⅱ(Diabetic control) mice,diabetes was induced by alloxan(150 mg/kg i.p.) and received only Tween 80.5%v/v in normal saline. Group-Ⅲand Group-Ⅳmice received metformin(10 mg/kg) and gliclazide(10 mg/kg) as standard ***-ⅤandⅥmice received methanolic bark extract of Albizia odoratissima at doses of 250 and 500 mg/kg body weight p.o.,***:The results of the study indicates that Albizia odoratissima bark extract significantly(P<0.01) reduced the blood sugar *** bark extract also significantly reduced the levels of serum cholesterol,triglycerides, serum glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase,serum glutamic-pyruvic transaminase,alkaline phosphatase and decreases level of total proteins in alloxan induced diabetic ***: Methanolic extract of Albizia odoratissima has protective effects on the protection of vital tissues(pancreas,kidney,liver,heart and spleen),thereby reducing the causation of diabetes in experimental animals.

Multi-temporal monitoring of wheat growth by using images from satellite and unmanned aerial vehicle

Recently near-ground remote sensing using unmanned aerial vehicles(UAV)witnessed wide applications in obtaining field *** this research,four Rapideye satellite images and eight RGB images acquired from UAV were used from early June to the end of July,2015 covering two experimental winter wheat fields,in order to monitor wheat canopy growth status and analyze the correlation among satellite images based normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI)with UAV’s RGB images based visible-band difference vegetation index(VDVI)and ground variables of the sampled grain protein ***,through image interpretation of UAV’s multi-temporal RGB images with fine spatial resolution,the wheat canopy color changes could be intuitively and clearly ***,by monitoring the changes of satellite images based NDVI as well as VDVI values and UAV’s RGB images based VDVI values,the conclusions were made that these three vegetation indices demonstrated the same and synchronized trend of increasing at the early stage of wheat growth season,reaching up to peak values at the same timing,and starting to decrease since *** results of the correlation analysis between NDVI of satellite images and sampled grain protein contents show that NDVI has good predicative capability for mapping grain protein content before ripening growth stage around June7,2015,while the reliability of using satellite image based NDVI to predict grain protein contents becomes worse as ripening stage *** regression analysis between UAV’s RGB image based VDVI and satellite image based VDVI as well as NDVI showed good coefficients of *** is concluded that it is feasible and practical to temporally complement satellite remote sensing by using UAV’s RGB images based vegetation indices to monitor wheat growth status and to map within-field spatial variations of grain protein contents for small scale farmlands.

GPU-Driven Scalable Parser for OBJ Models

This paper presents a scalable parser framework using graphics processing units （GPUs） for massive text-based files. Specifically, our solution is designed to efficiently parse Wavefront OBJ models texts of which specify 3D geometries and their topology. Our work bases its scalability and efficiency on chunk-based processing. The entire parsing problem is subdivided into subproblems the chunk of which can be processed independently and merged seamlessly. The within-chunk processing is made highly parallel, leveraged by GPUs. Our approach thereby overcomes the bottlenecks of the existing OBJ parsers. Experiments performed to assess the performance of our system showed that our solutions significantly outperform the existing CPU-based solutions and GPU-based solutions as well.

Agriculture plays an important role in the economy of all ***,plant diseases may badly affect the quality of food,production,and ultimately the *** plant disease detection and management,agriculturalists spend a huge amount of ***,the manual detection method of plant diseases is complicated and ***,automated systems for plant disease detection using machine learning(ML)approaches are ***,most of the existing ML techniques of plants diseases recognition are based on handcrafted features and they rarely deal with huge amount of input *** address the issue,this article proposes a fully automated method for plant disease detection and recognition using deep neural *** the proposed method,AlexNet and VGG19 CNNs are considered as pre-trained *** is capable to obtain the feature extraction of the given data with fine-tuning *** convolutional neural network feature extraction,it selects the best subset of features through the correlation coefficient and feeds them to the number of classifiers including K-Nearest Neighbor,Support Vector Machine,Probabilistic Neural Network,Fuzzy logic,and Artificial Neural *** validation of the proposed method is carried out on a self-collected dataset generated through the augmentation *** achieved average accuracy of our method is more than 96%and outperforms the recent techniques.

Near Range Radar and Its Application to Near Surface Geophysics and Disaster Mitigation

In this paper, we discuss about the near range radar applied to various environmental applications and disaster mitigation issues. Synthetic aperture radar（SAR） processing or migration is the key technology in near range radar imaging, which can be used in ground penetrating radar（GPR） and ground-based synthetic aperture radar（GB-SAR）. We demonstrate some applications which include GPR for humanitarian demining, GPR for archaeological survey, GB-SAR for landslide monitoring and nondestructive inspection of wooden buildings. We also demonstrate a new array GPR system “Yakumo”, which was used for archaeological survey for demonstration of advanced multi-static radar signal processing for better radar imaging.
