Impact of coupling coordination development of port and city environments on urban economic competitiveness:Evidence from the coastal port cities in eastern china

Promoting the coupling coordination development of port and its hinterland city environments is an important way to improve urban economic *** on relevant data of 13 coastal port cities in eastern china from 2000 to 2018,this study explores the coupling coordination development of port and city environments and its impact on urban economic competitiveness by constructing the coupling coordination degree model and the panel threshold *** research results show that:(1)In terms of the coupling coordination development of port and city environments,most coastal ports and their hinterland cities are in a state of moderate or serious ***,the degree of coupling coordination of port and city environments needs to be further improved;(2)The coupling coordination degree of port and city environments has a significant impact on urban economic competitiveness,and this effect gradually increases with the development of the ports and the urban *** the variables that impact the urban economic competitiveness,fixed assets investment and foreign trade are significant factors that can enhance urban economic competitiveness.(3)At present,there is a“U-shaped”relationship between the coupling coordination degree of port-city environments and the urban economic *** relationship lies on the right side of the inflection point of the“U-shaped”***,following the concept of assigning priority to ecological development,expanding fixed assets investment and actively developing foreign trade can further enhance the urban economic competitiveness.

Traditional music is an important component of cultural ***,studies have scarcely explored the tourism development potential and the obstacle factors of traditional *** study takes Xiangxi as the research site,constructs an evaluation index system,and utilizes survey and geographical *** major research results are as follows:First,the average potential of resource endowment,tourism industry development,and socio-economic conditions are 0.28,0.36,and 0.24,*** potential of resource endowment is higher in the west and lower in the east,that of tourism industry development is higher in the north and south and lower in the center,and that of socio-economic conditions is higher in the south and lower in the ***,the comprehensive potential is 0.29,which is higher in the northwest and southwest *** in most administrative units is at a medium level,and most regions have obvious advantages in resource ***,the primary obstacle factor is socio-economic conditions(39.21%),followed by resource endowment(30.73%)and tourism industry development(30.06%).The administrative units can be classified into four groups:socio-economic condition obstacle,resource endowment and tourism industry development obstacles,resource endowment and socio-economic condition obstacles,and tourism industry development and socio-economic condition *** highest priority goals for Xiangxi involve economic development and the integration of modern technologies to stimulate passenger *** reg traditional music items(eastern area of Xiangxi),tourism development should be restrained and other resources with stronger inherent advantages should be *** study explored the quantification of traditional music tourism potential,representing a novel breakthrough in this field of *** indicator system and research methods used in this study can provide guidance and methodological references for cultural heritage

From Theoretical Grammar to Grammatical Competence:An Empirical Study

In china,English teachers usually take a three-step approach to grammar teaching,namely,the presentation—practice—production principle(3P Principle).This method consists of both“morphology”and“syntax.”It adopts the traditional mode of grammar teaching,including knowledge presentation,grammar exercises,and grammatical competence production,which will inevitably lead to time consumption and low efficiency in grammar *** study is about cultivating English majors'grammatical competence through the theoretical mode of grammar *** research results show that the theoretical mode of grammar teaching helps cultivate learners'grammatical competence.

长江经济带电力消耗时空格局演变特征

揭示电力消耗的时空演变动态特征对于实现电力资源的科学调配与合理利用有着重要的意义。因此,本文基于从DMSP/OLS夜间灯光数据提取的电力消耗数据,以我国长江经济带为例,运用变异系数、核密度分析、位序-规模法则、趋势分析、标准差椭圆等多种方法,对长江经济带省级、地级和县级三种不同尺度下的电力消耗时空格局演变特征进行分析。结果表明:(1)通过变异系数,我们发现长江经济带电力消耗变异系数(CV)在省、地、县三级都呈现出下降趋势。具体来看,县级电力消耗差异最大,其次是省级和地级。(2)通过核密度分析,我们发现长江经济带电力消耗集聚程度明显呈现出由东部向中西部依次递减的特征。(3)通过位序-规模法则,发现在省级、地级和县级尺度上长江经济带在研究时间段内的|q|值一直处于不断下降的态势,并且|q|值不断接近1,说明长江经济带在省级、地级和县级等多个尺度上电力消耗的规模与数量分布日趋合理。(4)通过趋势分析,我们发现长江经济带在省级、地级和县级三个尺度上的电力消耗变化增幅都明显呈现出由东部向中西部依次递减的特征。(5)通过标准差椭圆分析,我们发现长江经济带电力消耗标准差椭圆明显呈现出“西南-东北”的空间分布方向,并且往长三角地区的指向性非常明显,这说明推动长江经济带电力消耗增长的主要动力来自东西方向地区的电力消耗的增长。

Measuring Performance Evolution of Academic Journals in Management science and Operations Research:A DEA-Malmquist Approach

This paper aims to measure the productivity of academic journals in the field of management science and operations research on the basis of a data envelopment analysis(DEA)-Malmquist *** the empirical results,we make the following findings:(1)Compared with the DEA-CCR(Charnes,Cooper,Rhodes)model,the DEA-BCC(Banker,Charnes,Cooper)model may overestimate the performance of journals with a shorter cited half-life and fewer articles,and may underestimate the performance of journals with a longer cited half-life and more articles;(2)The average performance of journals in the management science and operations research field progressed by 1.8%during 2007-2014,which was a result of the frontier-shift effect;(3)The gap between the best journals on the DEA frontier and the rest of the journals is increasing because the best journals grow relatively faster;(4)High-level journals have made more progress and their performance is more stable,and the difference between high-level journals was also smaller during 2007-2014;and,(5)A higher total factor productivity value corresponds to higher Association of Business Schools rankings for certain journals.

Can environmental regulation promote industrial innovation and productivity?Based on the strong and weak Porter hypothesis

This paper constructed extended CDM model to study the effects of environmental regulation on industrial innovation and productivity based on the perspective of strong and weak "Porter hypothesis",by using 28 manufacturing industry panel data of 2003-2014. The findings reveal that:(1) the impact of environmental regulation on R&D intensity lags behind. In the long run,environmental regulation intensity has a significant role in promoting R&D investment in manufacturing industry.(2) The R&D has a significant role in promoting the substantial innovation of manufacturing industry, and has a strong lag and continuity. However, the R&D intensity has no obvious effect on strategic innovation of manufacturing industry.(3) The substantial innovation doesn't significantly promote the economic performance of manufacturing industry, but it has a significant role in promoting the energy performance of manufacturing industry, and the substantial innovation plays a significant role in promoting environmental performance in the long term. The strategic innovation significantly promotes the economic performance of manufacturing industry, and it inhibits the energy performance and has no significant effect on environmental performance in the short term. It can promote the energy performance of manufacturing industry, but significantly inhibit environmental performance in the long term.(4) Environmental regulation has significantly suppressed the substantive innovation and strategic innovation of manufacturing industry, and the weak Porter hypothesis has not yet been supported. In the short term, environmental regulation inhibits manufacturing economic performance, but it can promote energy and environmental performance. In the long run, environmental regulation promotes the economic and energy performance of manufacturing industry, but it inhibits environmental performance. The establishment of strong Porter hypothesis has a certain scenario.
