Understanding the influencing mechanism of turbulent fluctuation on the ignition characteristics of millimeter coal particles is *** this work,to study the effect of turbulent fluctuation on ignition time,millimeter coal particles are subjected to a specific flow field,generated in a furnace with symmetric fans.A one-dimensional model with the new proposed correlation and the Ranz-Marshall(R-M)correlation for Nu(Nusselt number)is established to simulate the coal ignition *** addition,the effects of fan speed,temperature,particle diameter,particle distance and coal type on the ignition time are *** is found that an increase in fan speed from 0 to 3000 rpm leads to a particle Reynolds number Re_(p)increase from 0 to 22.5,and a turbulent particle Reynolds number Re_(t)*increase from 0 to *** a consideration of the fluctuation effect,the new correlation of Nu gives a better prediction of ignition time compared to the R-M ***,the ignition time is revealed to decrease with an increasing fan speed and an elevating *** the ignition time shows merely an initial boost with enlarging particle distance,it exhibits a linearity with the term of particle diameter dp1.3-1.7 and Reynolds numbers(Nu*/Nu)-0.6(Nu*is turbulent Nusselt number).Based on this relationship,the difference of predicted ignition time is calculated at different Re_(p)and Re_(t)*.It is shown that at low Re_(p)or high Re_(t)*values,the new correlation should substitute for the R-M correlation.

Lignocellulose-Based Optical Biofilter with High Near-Infrared Transmittance via Lignin Capturing–Fusing Approach

Near-infrared (NIR) transparent optical filters show great promise in night vision and receiving windows. However, NIR optical filters are generally prepared by laborious, environmentally unfriendly processes that involve metal oxides or petroleum-based polymers. We propose a lignin capturing–fusing approach to manufacturing optical biofilters based on molecular collaboration between lignin and cellulose from waste agricultural biomass. In this process, lignin is captured via self-assembly in a cellulose network;then, the lignin is fused to fill gaps and hold the cellulose fibers tightly. The resulting optical biofilter featured a dense structure and smooth surface with NIR transmittance of ~90%, ultralow haze of close to 0%, strong ultraviolet-visible light blocking (~100% at 400 nm and 57.58% to 98.59% at 550 nm). Further, the optical biofilter has comprehensive stability, including water stability, solvent stability, thermal stability, and environmental stability. Because of its unique properties, the optical biofilter demonstrates potential applications in the NIR region, such as an NIR-transmitting window, NIR night vision, and privacy protection. These applications represent a promising route to produce NIR transparent optical filters starting from lignocellulose biomass waste.

The purpose of this research was to develop a chitosan sulfobetaine(CS-SNCC)film via the solutioncasting method as a biodegradable antibacterial material for biomedical *** and monochloro-triazine sulfobetaine were used as the raw materials for CS-SNCC preparation,and Fourier-transform infrared(FTIR),ultraviolet–visible(UV-Vis),energy-dispersive X-ray(EDX),and Xray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)spectra were used to characterize and analyze the structure of the synthesized ***,the swelling property,thermal stability,biodegradability,cytocompatibility,and antibacterial properties of the CS-SNCC film were comprehensively investigated and compared with those of the chitosan *** results for the film’s enzymatic biodegradation behavior show that the CS-SNCC film undergoes a weight loss of 45.54%after 21 days of *** addition,the CS-SNCC film effectively resists bacterial adhesion,prevents the formation of bacteria biofilms,and exhibits high antibacterial activity,with inactivation rates of 93.43%for Escherichia coli and 91.00%for Staphylococcus ***,the CS-SNCC film shows good cellular activity and cytocompatibility according to the cytotoxicity ***,the prepared biodegradable,cytocompatible,antibacterial,and biofilm-controlling CS-SNCC film has potential for biomedical applications.

The author considers a three-species ratio-dependent predator-prey model with time delay in a two-patch environments. This model is of periodic coefficients, which incorporates the periodicity of the environment. By means of the coincidence degree theory, sufficient conditions for the existence of at least one positive periodic solution of this model are established. Moreover, The author shows that the system is uniformly persistent under the conditions.

We demonstrate a method for fabricating sapphire rib waveguides with femtosecond laser micromachining technology. Finite difference beam propagation method(FD-BPM) is applied to design sapphire rib waveguides. We explore the process of etching on a sapphire substrate surface via direct laser ablation. Rib waveguides that satisfies the dimensions of our design were fabricated. Actual light propagation performance is tested, and with the cut-back method, the insertion loss of 2.9±0.5 dB/cm is measured.

Two new compounds,1（[Cu（IDB_）2]Cl_2·2CH_3CH_2OH·2H_2O（IDB = N,N-di（2-benzimidazolylmethyl）imine]） and 2（[Cu（EDTB）]·2[C_6H_4（OH）COO]·6H_2O（EDTB = N,N,N＇,N＇-tetrakis-[（2-benzimidazolyl）methyl]-1,2-ethanediamine]）,have been synthesized and their crystal structures were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Crystal 1 belongs to the triclinic system,space group P1 with a = 9.565（2）,b = 9.863（2）,c = 10.252（3）？,α = 81.915,β = 88.330,γ = 87.347°,V = 956.28（40）？3,Z = 1,F（000） = 427,D_c = 1.419 g/cm3,Mr = 817.27 and μ（MoKα） = 0.764 mm^（-1）. The final R indices（I 〉 2σ（I））： R = 0.0505,wR = 0.1417; R indices（all data）： R = 0.0591,wR = 0.1525. Crystal 2 is of triclinic system,space group P1 with a = 11.487（3）,b = 13.396（4）,c = 17.977（5）？,α = 73.899（5）,β = 86.629（5）,γ = 65.018（4）°,V = 2403.8（12）？3,Z = 2,F（000） = 1072,D3c = 1.417 g/cm,Mr = 1025.54,μ（MoKα） = 0.528 mm^（-1）. The final R indices（I 〉 2σ（I））： R = 0.0769,w R = 0.163 2; R indices（all data）： R = 0.0769,wR = 0.1632. The two compounds exhibit mononuclear structures. The copper（Ⅱ） atom of crystal 1 is six-coordinated by four nitrogen atoms of benzimidazole groups and two amine nitrogen atoms from the ligand IDB to adopt a distorted octahedral coordination geometry. The copper（Ⅱ） atom of crystal 2 is six-coordinated by four nitrogen atoms of benzimidazole groups and two amine nitrogen atoms from the ligand EDTB to show a distorted octahedral coordination geometry. Particularly,the two compounds exhibit fluorescent properties at room temperature in ethanol.
