Solar-driven carbon dioxide(CO_(2))conversion including photocatalytic(PC),photoelectrochemical(PEC),photovoltaic plus electrochemical(PV/EC)systems,offers a renewable and scalable way to produce fuels and high-value chemicals for environment and energy *** review summarizes the basic fundament and the recent advances in the field of solar-driven CO_(2)*** the visible-light absorption is an important strategy to improve solar energy conversion *** separation and migration of photogenerated charges carriers to surface sites and the surface catalytic processes also determine the photocatalytic *** engineering including co-catalyst loading,defect engineering,morphology control,surface modification,surface phase junction,and Z-scheme photocatalytic system construction,have become fundamental strategies to obtain high-efficiency *** to photocatalysis,these strategies have been applied to improve the conversion efficiency and Faradaic efficiency of typical PEC *** PV/EC systems,the electrode surface structure and morphology,electrolyte effects,and mass transport conditions affect the activity and selectivity of electrochemical CO_(2)***,the challenges and prospects are addressed for the development of solar-driven CO_(2)conversion system with high energy conversion efficiency,high product selectivity and stability.

The Permian-Triassic transition saw extreme climatic changes that severely impacted the terrestrial *** plants,particularly fossil woods,are sensitive to climatic changes,and they,therefore,are unique materials revealing extreme environmental and climatic changes on land at that *** conifer woods were discovered in the Lopingian(Late Permian)strata of the Sunjiagou Formation in Shanxi Province,North *** newly finding permineralized woods record the unique landscape of Lopingian North *** represent a new conifer genus and species:Shanxiopitys zhangziensis *** *** of growth pattern and anatomical characteristics of the fossil woods indicate these trees grew under optimal growing conditions,and without seasonal growth ***,climate signals from leaf fossils,vertebrate fossils and sedimentary evidences indicate a strongly seasonal climate in North china during the ***,it is speculated that these trees likely lived in the gallery forests,which were distributed along the paleo-rivers within a seasonal landscape in the central North china block during the Lopingian.

C_(Ar)-Br bond cleavage via cooperative EnT/NHC catalysis: mild access to indolines

The cooperative visible-light mediated and NHC-catalyzed dearomative arylation-acylation of N-(2-bromobenzoyl)indoles with aldehydes was developed, affording the corresponding highly functionalized polycyclic indolines in moderate to good yields with exclusive diastereoselectivities. Mechanism investigations support the activation of CAr-Br bond via visible-light mediated energy transfer(EnT) and the following single-electron-transfer(SET) with Breslow intermediate under NHC catalysis to give key aryl radical and ketyl radical. This protocol demonstrates the cleavage of CAr-Br bond under mild cooperative EnT/NHC catalysis.

Accurate Distinction of Weak and Strong AC Grids for Emerging Hierarchical-Infeed LCC-UHVDC Systems

Distinction of weak and strong AC grids for emerging hierarchical-infeed LCC-UHVDC systems is important for planning and operation departments. However, accuracy of earlier distinction methods is limited as they were developed by empirical reasoning without rigorous theoretical analysis. Hence in this letter, hierarchical-infeed interactive effective short-circuit ratio (HIESCR) index is first used for strength evaluation of HIDC systems with complex inter-inverter interactions considered. Boundary HIESCR (BHIESCR) is also introduced in the proposed distinction method of weak and strong AC grids. That is, weak (or strong) AC grids are, respectively, identified when HIESCR is less (or greater) than BHIESCR. Second, it is shown BHIESCR remains almost unchanged as 3.0 versus various system parameters and rated operation variables based on rigorous theoretical analysis. This salient feature makes the proposed method more accurate than earlier methods. Finally, the proposed method is validated by simulations based on the PSCAD/EMTDC program.

CsPbI_(2)Br perovskite solar cells(PSCs)have drawn tremendous attention due to their suitable bandgap,excellent photothermal stability,and great potential as an ideal candidate for top cells in tandem solar ***,the abundant defects at the buried interface and perovskite layer induce severe charge recombination,resulting in the open-circuit voltage(V_(oc))output and stability much lower than ***,a novel buried interface management strategy is developed to regulate interfacial carrier dynamics and CsPbI_(2)Br defects by introducing ammonium tetrafluoroborate(NH_(4)BF_(4)),thereby resulting in both high CsPbI_(2)Br crystallization and minimized interfacial energy ***,NH_(4)^(+)ions could preferentially heal hydroxyl groups on the SnO_(2)surface and balance energy level alignment between SnO_(2)and CsPbI_(2)Br,enhancing charge transport efficiency,while BF_(4)^(-)anions as a quasi-halogen regulate crystal growth of CsPbI_(2)Br,thus reducing perovskite ***,it is proved that eliminating hydroxyl groups at the buried interface enhances the iodide migration activation energy of CsPbI_(2)Br for strengthening the phase *** a result,the optimized CsPbI_(2)Br PSCs realize a remarkable efficiency of 17.09%and an ultrahigh V_(oc)output of 1.43 V,which is one of the highest values for CsPbI_(2)Br PSCs.

Carbon dioxide(CO_(2))emissions from the cement industry account for 26%of the total industrial emissions,and the need to develop low-carbon techniques within the cement industry is extremely ***-carbon projects and technologies for the cement industry in different regions and countries have been thoroughly reviewed in this manuscript,and the low-carbon development concept for each county has been *** developing countries such as china and India,energy saving and efficiency enhancement are currently the key points,while for developed countries and regions such as Europe,more efforts have been focused on carbon capture,utilization,and storage(CCUS).Global CCUS projects have been previously conducted,and the majority of CCUS projects are currently performed in Europe where major projects such as the CEMCAP,CLEANKER,and IEILAC projects represent the latest research progress in cement production technologies and low-carbon technologies for the global cement *** development of low-carbon cement technologies has changed from focusing on the end point to instead focusing on the source and process through the exploration of hydrogen and solar energies,and more disruptive and original technologies are expected to be developed,particularly in the cement industry in china.

Composite Converter Combined APFC with Switched-capacitor Converter

To reduce switch numbers and voltage stress in semiconductor devices,this paper proposes a novel single-phase converter combined Active Power Factor Correction(APFC)with switched-capacitor *** addition,dynamic voltage regulation and voltage gain are improved by integrating the boost converter and switching capacitor *** interstage bulk capacitor is no longer *** average current control with redistribution of voltage in cells is proposed to obtain voltage lift ability of the switching capacitor cells and maintain a high-power *** study and verify the proposed converter preliminarily,theoretical analysis and simulation are presented in the ***,a 50o W prototype with two different configurations is built for experimental *** proposed converter can reach 95.62%of maximum efficiency,0.99 of power factor,and 3.55%of THD with 600 V output voltage,simultaneously.
