In non-small cell lung cancers,the non-squamous and squamous subtypes（nsqNSCLC and sqNSCLC） exhibit disparities in pathophysiology,tumor immunology,and potential genomic correlates affecting responses to immune checkpoint inhibitor（ICI）-based *** our inhouse training cohort（n=85）,the presence of the LRP1B deleterious mutation（LRP1B-del） was associated with longer and shorter progression-free survival（PFS） on ICIs alone in nsqNSCLCs and sqNSCLCs,respectively(Pinteraction=0.008).These results were validated using a larger public ICI cohort(n=208,Pinteraction<0.001).Multiplex immunofluorescence staining revealed an association between LRP1B-del and increased and decreased numbers of tumor-infiltrating CD8+T cells in nsqNSCLCs（P=0.040） and sqNSCLCs（P=0.014）,*** the POPLAR/OAK cohort,nsqNSCLCs with LRP1B-del demonstrated improved PFS benefits from atezolizumab over docetaxel(hazard ratio（HR）=0.70,P=0.046),whereas this benefit was negligible in those without LRP1B-del（HR=1.05,P=0.64）.Conversely,sqNSCLCs without LRP1B-del benefited more from atezolizumab（HR=0.60,P=0.002） than those with LRP1B-del（HR=1.30,P=0.31）.Consistent results were observed in the in-house CHOICE-01 cohort,in which nsqNSCLCs with LRP1B-del and sqNSCLCs without LRP1B-del benefited more from toripalimab plus chemotherapy than from chemotherapy alone(Pinteraction=0.008).This multi-cohort study delineates the antithetical impacts of LRP1B-del in nsqNSCLCs and sqNSCLCs on predicting the benefits from ICI alone or with chemotherapy over chemotherapy *** findings highlight the distinct clinical utility of LRP1B-del in guiding treatment choices for nsqNSCLCs and sqNSCLCs,emphasizing the necessity for a detailed analysis based on pathological subtypes when investigating biomarkers for cancer therapeutics.

Aerosol optical absorption by dust and black carbon in Taklimakan Desert,during no-dust and dust-storm conditions

Aerosol absorption coefficient σap involves the additive contribution of both black carbon aerosol （BC） and dust aerosol. The linear statistical regression analysis approach introduced by Fialho et al. （2005） is used to estimate the absorption exponents of BC and dust aerosol absorption coefficients, and further to separate the contributions of these two types of aerosols from the total light absorption coefficient measured in the hinterland of Taklimakan Desert in the spring of 2006. Absorption coefficients are measured by means of a 7-wavelength Aethalometer from 1 March to 31 May and from 1 November to 28 December, 2006. The absorption exponent of BC absorption coefficient α is estimated as （-0.95 ± 0.002） under background weather （supposing the observed absorption coefficient is due only to BC）; the estimated absorption exponent of dust aerosol absorption coefficient/5 during the 6 dust storm periods （strong dust storm） is （-2.55 ± 0.009）. Decoupling analysis of the measured light absorption coefficients demonstrates that, on average, the light absorptions caused by dust aerosol and BC make up about 50.5% and 49.5% respectively of the total light absorption at 520 nm; during dust weather process periods （dust storm, floating dust, blowing dust）, the contribution of dust aerosol to absorption extinction is 60.6% on average; in the hin- terland of desert in spring, dust aerosol is also the major contributor to the total aerosol light absorption, more than that of black carbon aerosol.

In this paper, the features and possible causes of sea surface temperature(SST) biases over the Northwest Pacific are investigated based on a mixed-layer heat budget analysis in 21 coupled general circulation models(CGCMs) from phase 5 of the Coupled Model Inter-comparison project(CMIP5). Most CMIP5 models show cold SST biases throughout the year over the Northwest Pacific. The largest biases appear during summer, and the smallest biases occur during winter. These cold SST biases are seen at the basin scale and are mainly located in the inner region of the low and mid-latitudes. According to the mixed-layer heat budget analysis, overestimation of upward net sea surface heat fluxes associated with atmospheric processes are primarily responsible for the cold SST biases. Among the different components of surface heat fluxes, overestimated upward latent heat fluxes induced by the excessively strong surface winds contribute the most to the cold SST biases during the spring, autumn, and winter seasons. Conversely, during the summer, overestimated upward latent heat fluxes and underestimated downward solar radiations at the sea surface are equally important. Further analysis suggests that the overly strong surface winds over the Northwest Pacific during winter and spring are associated with excessive precipitation over the Maritime Continent region,whereas those occurring during summer and autumn are associated with the excessive northward extension of the intertropical convergence zone(ITCZ). The excessive precipitation over the Maritime Continent region and the biases in the simulated ITCZ induce anomalous northeasterlies, which are in favor of enhancing low-level winds over the North Pacific. The enhanced surface wind increases the sea surface evaporation, which contributes to the excessive upward latent heat fluxes. Thus, the SST over the Northwest Pacific cools.

In 1988, the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) jointly launched the In tergovern me ntal Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) to bring together scientists recommended by governments to assess the impacts of global climate change based on published literature. Five assessment reports have been released so far. In 2018, it marks the 30th anniversary of IPCC. Its previous reports, which are a collection of the up-to-date findings in climate change science at global level, have undergone rigorous expert and government reviews, hence recognized as an important source of scientific input to the international community in its understanding the climate change issue and devising a mechanism in response to it.

Iron is a crucial micronutrient, and its deficiency can have detrimental effects on the health of infants. Dietary polysaccharide-iron(Ⅲ) complexes(PICs) are promising for addressing iron deficiency due to their minimal adverse reactions and high iron absorption rate. This study aimed to investigate the effects of dietary Enteromorpha prolifera polysaccharide-Fe(Ⅲ) complex(EP-Fe) on newborns, using 3-day weaned piglets as the iron-deficiency model. Results showed that EP-Fe improved iron levels and promoted intestinal development in piglets. Transcriptome sequencing revealed that EP-Fe increased the survival of intestinal epithelial cells under hypoxia by upregulating the expression of genes that promote the development of the vascular system. Additionally, EP-Fe enhanced the mucosal barrier functions by inhibiting myosin light chain kinase(MLCK)/phosphorylated myosin light chain(p-MLC) signaling pathway to increase the expression of intestinal tight junction proteins. Furthermore, the 16S r RNA gene sequencing of gut microbiota showed that EP-Fe promoted the enrichment of Bacteroides＿fragilis and other gut microbes that can metabolize carbohydrates. In conclusion, EP-Fe is an effective iron supplement for newborns, and it can be developed as a comprehensive nutritional supplement.

Satisfiability problem of authorization require- ments in business process asks whether there exists an as- signment of users to tasks that satisfies all the requirements, and methods were proposed to solve this problem. However, the proposed methods are inefficient in the sense that a step of the methods is searching all the possible assignments, which is time-consuming. This work proposes a method to solve the satisfiability problem of authorization requirements with- out browsing the assignments space. Our method uses im- proved separation of duty algebra （ISoDA） to describe a sat- isfiability problem of qualification requirements and quan- tification requirements （Separation of Duty and Binding of Duty requirements）. Thereafter, ISoDA expressions are re- duced into multi-mutual-exclusive expressions. The satisfia- bilities of multi-mutual-exclusive expressions are determined by an efficient algorithm proposed in this study. The experiment shows that our method is faster than the state-of-the-art methods.

Multi-year monitoring of paddy rice planting area in Northeast china using MODIS time series data

e The objective of this study was to investigate the tempo-spatial distribution of paddy rice in Northeast china using moderate resolution imaging spectroradiometer （MODIS） data. We developed an algorithm for detection and estimation of the transplanting and flooding periods of paddy rice with a combination of enhanced vegetation index （EVI） and land surface water index with a central wavelength at 2130 nm （LSW12130）. In two intensive sites in Northeast china, fine resolution satellite imagery was used to validate the performance of the algorithm at pixel and 3x3 pixel window levels, respectively. The commission and omission errors in both of the intensive sites were approximately less than 20%. Based on the algorithm, annual distribution of paddy rice in Northeast china from 2001 to 2009 was mapped and analyzed. The results demonstrated that the MODIS-derived area was highly correlated with published agricultural statistical data with a coefficient of determination （R^2） value of 0.847. It also revealed a sharp decline in 2003, especially in the Sanjiang Plain located in the northeast of Heilongjiang Province, due to the oversupply and price decline of rice in 2002. These results suggest that the approaches are available for accurate and reliable monitoring of rice cultivated areas and variation on a large scale.
