A GMM approach in coupling internal data and external summary information with heterogeneous data populations

Because of advances in data collection and storage,statistical analysis in modern scientific research and practice now has opportunities to utilize external information such as summary statistics from similar studies.A likelihood approach based on a parametric model assumption has been developed in the literature to utilize external summary information when the populations for external and main internal data are assumed to be the *** this article,we instead consider the generalized estimation equation(GEE)approach for statistical inference,which is semiparametric or nonparametric,and show how to utilize external summary information even when internal and external data populations are not the *** approach is coupling the internal data and external summary information to form additional estimation equations and then applying the generalized method of moments(GMM).We show that the proposed GMM estimator is asymptotically normal and,under some conditions,is more efficient than the GEE estimator without using external summary *** of the asymptotic covariance matrix of the GMM estimators are also *** results are obtained to confirm our theory and quantify the improvements by utilizing external *** example is also included for illustration.

In this paper, an efficient fully-decoupled and fully-discrete numerical scheme with second-order temporal accuracy is developed to solve the incompressible hydrodynamically coupled Cahn-Hilliard model for simulating the two-phase fluid flow system. The scheme is developed by combining the finite element method for spatial discretization and several effective time marching approaches, including the pressure-correction projection method for dealing with fluid equations and the explicit-invariant energy quadratization(explicit-IEQ) approach for dealing with coupled nonlinear terms. The obtained scheme is very efficient since it only needs to solve several decoupled, linear elliptic equations with constant coefficients at each time step. We also strictly prove the solvability and unconditional energy stability of the scheme, and verify the accuracy and stability of the scheme through plenty of numerical examples.

Precise genome-editing platforms are versatile tools for generating specific,site-directed DNA insertions,deletions,and *** continuous enhancement of these tools has led to a revolution in the life sciences,which promises to deliver novel therapies for genetic *** genome-editing can be traced back to the 1950s with the discovery of DNA’s doublehelix and,after 70 years of development,has evolved from crude in vitro applications to a wide range of sophisticated capabilities,including in vivo ***,precise genome-editing faces constraints such as modest efficiency,delivery challenges,and off-target *** this review,we explore precise genome-editing,with a focus on introduction of the landmark events in its history,various platforms,delivery systems,and ***,we discuss the landmark events in the history of precise ***,we describe the current state of precise genome-editing strategies and explain how these techniques offer unprecedented precision and versatility for modifying the human ***,we introduce the current delivery systems used to deploy precise genome-editing components through DNA,RNA,and ***,we summarize the current applications of precise genome-editing in labeling endogenous genes,screening genetic variants,molecular recording,generating disease models,and gene therapy,including ex vivo therapy and in vivo therapy,and discuss potential future advances.

8-氧鸟嘌呤(OG)是最常见的核碱基氧化损伤,它在复制过程中可以用Hoogsteen的模式与腺嘌呤(A)错误配对.0G.A碱基对不仅可以诱发G·C→T·A的颠换突变,而且由于OG的电离势和氧化电位低于天然DNA碱基更容易受到电离辐射和单电子氧化的影响,本文报道了[9MOG·9MA]^(·+)碱華对阳离子自由基的形成.和碰撞诱导解离,该碱基对利用9-甲基8-氧鸟嘌呤(9MOG)和9-甲基腺嘌呤(9MA)模拟相对应的核苷酸.实验通过电喷雾产生Cu(Ⅱ)碱基复合物继之以氧化分离产生[9MOG·9MA]^(·+),并使用导向离子束串级质谱仪检测[9MOG·9MA]^(·+)的碰撞诱导解离、通过测量在不同碰撞能量下的解离产物和反应截面,可以得出[9MOG-H]+[9MA+H]^(+)(主要解离通道)和9MOG^(·+)+9MA(次要通道)的0 K解离阈能分别为1.8和1.65 eV.使用密度泛函理论对[9MOG·9MA]^(·+)的结构计算发现其所有重要构象都发生了质子转移生成[9MOG-H]^(·)·[9MA+H]^(+).另一方面,9MOG^(·+)+9MA的解离通道却需要9MOG^(·+)9MA作为中间体.看似矛盾的结果可以用碰撞活化后反应势能面上出现的双重势阱和由此触发的激发态质子转移平衡([9MOG-H]^(·)·[9MA+H]^(+))^(*)→←(9MOG6(·+)·9MA)^(*)来解释.本文实验和理论研究揭示了这种生物学上重要的非规范碱基对如何在氧化和电离损伤时发生解离.

The quantum anomalous Hall effect（QAHE） has unique advantages in topotronic applications, but it is still challenging to realize the QAHE with tunable magnetic and topological properties for building functional devices. Through systematic first-principles calculations, we predict that the in-plane magnetization induced QAHE with Chern numbers C = ±1 and the out-of-plane magnetization induced QAHE with high Chern numbers C = ±3 can be realized in a single material candidate, which is composed of van der Waals（vdW）coupled Bi and MnBi2Te4monolayers. The switching between different phases of QAHE can be controlled in multiple ways, such as applying strain or（weak） magnetic field or twisting the vdW materials. The prediction of an experimentally available material system hosting robust, highly tunable QAHE will stimulate great research interest in the field. Our work opens a new avenue for the realization of tunable QAHE and provides a practical material platform for the development of topological electronics.
