Sedimentary characteristics of paleo-aeolian dune sands of Salawusu Formation in the Salawusu River Valley

The Salawusu Formation of Milanggouwan section in Salawusu River Valley includes 7 layers of paleo-mobile dune sands, and 4 layers of paleo-fixed and semi-fixed dune sands. Their structures have been observed and their grain size, surface textural features and several main chemical elements have been analyzed. The results showed that： 1） Some of the aeolian structural characteristics of these dune sands are similar to that of the recent dune sands. 2） They are also similar to the recent dune sands in grain size components, and parameters of Mz,σ, Sk and Kg, as well as in several main chemical components. 3） The scattergrams of Mz-σ and SiO2-Al2O3＋TOFE and the probability curves of grain size showed that these paleo-dune sands are different from paleosols and fluvio-lacustrine facies, but are consistency with recent dune sands. 4） Quartz sands have well roundness and surface textural features such as dish-shaped pits, crescent-shaped pits, pockmarked pits, upturned cleavage plates, siliceous precipitates and siliceous crevasses, indicating that they had been carried for a long time by the wind. As the 11 layers of paleo-dune sands possess the aeolian characteristics in structure, grain size, surface textural features and chemical elements, the origin of their formation should be attributed to eolation.

Background Novel influenza A viruses of avian-origin may be the precursors of pandemic strains. This descriptive study aims to introduce a novel avian-origin influenza A （H10N8） virus which can infect humans and cause severe diseases. Methods Collecting clinical data of three cases of human infection with a novel reassortment avian influenza A （H10N8） virus in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, China. Results Three cases of human infection with a new reassortment avian influenza A（H10N8） virus were described, of which two were fatal cases, and one was severe case. These cases presented with severe pneumonia that progressed to acute respiratory distress syndrome （ARDS） and intractable respiratory failure. Conclusion This novel reassortment avian influenza A （H10N8） virus in China resulted in fatal human infections, and should be added to concerns in clinical practice.

Three-dimensional displacement characteristics of adjacent pile induced by shield tunneling under influence of multiple factors

Shield tunneling inevitably passes through a large number of pile foundations in urban ***,an accurate assessment of tunneling-induced pile displacement and potential damage becomes a critical part of shield *** study presents a mechanism research of pile-soil-tunnel interaction through Pasternak-based two-stage analysis *** the first stage,based on Mindlin’s solution,the soil displacement fields induced by shield thrust force,cutterhead frictions,shield shell frictions and grouting pressure are *** analytical solution of threedimensional soil displacement field is established by introducing Pinto’s three-dimensional volume loss formula,which solves the problems that shield construction factors are not taken into account in Loganathan’s formula and only twodimensional soil displacement field can be *** the second stage,based on Pasternak’s two-parameter foundation model,the analytical solution of pile displacement induced by shield tunneling in layered soil is derived.A case was found in the project of interval tunnels from Wanjiali Square to Furong District Government of Changsha Metro Line 5,where the shield tunnels were constructed near viaduct *** reliability of the analytical solution proposed in this study is verified by comparing with the field measured data and the results of finite element method(FEM).In addition,the comparisons of longitudinal,horizontal and vertical displacements of soil and pile foundation analyzed by the analytical solution and FEM provide corresponding theoretical basis,which has significant engineering guidance for similar projects.

Quinoa is rich in nutrients and has high economic value,which attracts people's *** that the quinoa has not yet been planted in the low-altitude Central and Southern Hebei plain,we used the quinoa seeds from five different habitats in China to conduct a planting test under different date of seeding in the low-altitude Central and Southern Hebei plain,and obtained the comprehensive data about the phenophase and agronomic traits of quinoa in this *** test results showed that the grain quinoa should not be planted in Central and Southern Hebei plain,the limiting factors were identified,and a new way for local development of vegetable quinoa was found.

Spatial Distribution characteristics and Influencing Factors of Traditional Villages in Northern Guangxi Based on Spatiotemporal Big Data and Spatial Syntax

Public space as an extension of private living spaces carries the different social life and customs of human *** analyze the spatial distribution characteristics of traditional villages in northern Guangxi based on spatial syntax and its influencing factors,this paper analyzed and compared the spatial structure and morphology of traditional villages in northern Guangxi by using the theory of spatial syntax and linguistics as the quantitative analysis method of spatial syntax,and verified the feasibility of expanding the application of spatial syntax,finally,the generality and characteristics of the spatial structure and form of traditional villages in northern Guangxi were put *** has been *** to the comprehensibility data in this paper,the comprehensibility of the village 1 in northern Guangxi is 0.52,the village 2 is 0.40,the village 3 is 0.35,the village 4 is 0.48,the village 5 is 0.55 and the village 6 is *** showed that in the selected 6 village samples,except for the 3 ones in northern Guangxi,the local space of the other 3 villages could better perceive the overall space,which also reflected the overall space permeability of most traditional villages in northern Guangxi was good.

Correlation Analysis of Quantitative Microscopic characteristics and Polysaccharide Content of Dendrobium officinale from Guangxi

[Objectives]The paper was to investigate the correlation between the microscopic characteristic constants and the index component polysaccharide content of Dendrobium officinale from Guangxi.[Methods]The paraffin sections of *** were made,and the microscopic characteristic constants of *** stem,including cross section area,vascular bundle area and phloem area,were determined by NIS-Elements D microscopic image processing *** contents of polysaccharides in *** were determined by UV-Vis spectrophotometry,and the quantitative values of microscopic characteristics of *** with different growth years were analyzed by SPSS 23.0(IBM SPSS Statistics 23.0)data statistical *** correlation between quantitative microscopic characteristics of *** and its polysaccharide content was analyzed.[Results]According to the correlation between the index component of *** and its quantitative microscopic characteristics,the measurement indexes,the percentage of vascular bundle in the cross section area and the percentage of hard structure in the cross section area,were strongly negatively correlated with polysaccharide content.[Conclusions]The microscopic characteristic constant values of vascular bundles of *** can be used as a method to verify polysaccharide content.

Objective:To analyze the clinical features of asymptomatic patients infected with the SARS-CoV-2 novel ***:The clinical data of 10 asymptomatic cases and 12 symptomatic cases of COVID-19 diagnosed during February 2020 to April 2020 was collected and the clinical features of the two groups of patients were ***:10 cases of asymptomatic infection and 12 cases of symptomatic patients were tested positive for the novel coronavirus nucleic acid *** was no significant difference in gender distribution between the two groups(P>0.05);the average age of patients in the asymptomatic group was lower than that of the symptomatic group(P0.05),and there was no statistically significant difference in mortality between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:The average age of asymptomatic novel coronavirus infections was lower than that of confirmed cases of COVID-19,mainly among young *** was no significant difference in clinical classification,mortality and chest CT examination results between symptomatic and asymptomatic cases.

In the context of escalating global energy demands,urban areas,specifically the building sector,contribute to the largest energy consumption,with urban overheating exacerbating this *** urban modelling for heat-mitigation and reduction of energy demand is crucial steps towards a sustainable built-environment,complementing onsite energy generation in the design and development of Net-zero Energy(NZE)Settlement,especially in the context of Australian weather *** a significant gap in existing literature,this study offers empirical analysis on the climate and energy efficacy of integrated heat mitigation strategies applied in 14 neighbourhood typologies located in Sydney,*** the application of cool materials on roads,pavements,and rooftops,alongside urban vegetation enhancement,the analysis demonstrates scenario effectiveness on heat mitigation that leads to reduce ambient temperature and energy demands along with CO_(2)emissions within the *** building arrangement,built-area ratio,building height,and locations,ENVI-met and CitySim are utilized to assess the heat-mitigation and the energy demand of neighbourhoods,*** indicate that mitigation measures can lead up to a 2.71℃reduction in ambient temperature and over 25%reduction in Cooling Degree Hours,with a 34.34%reduction in cooling energy demand and overall energy savings of up to 12.49%.In addition,the annual energy-saving yields a CO_(2)reduction of approximately 141.12 tonnes,where additional vegetation further amplifies these reductions by enhancing CO_(2)*** study showcases the pathway towards achieving NZE goals in climates similar to that of Australia,highlighting significant benefits in heat-mitigation,environmental impact,and energy-savings.

Data-driven methods are widely recognized and generate conducive results for online transient stability ***,the tedious and time-consuming process of sample collection is often *** functioning of power systems involves repetitive sample collection due to the constant variations occurring in the operation mode,thereby highlighting the importance of collection *** a means to achieve high sample collection efficiency following the operation mode change,we propose a novel instance-transfer method based on compression and matching strategy,which facilitates the direct acquisition of useful previous samples,used for creating the new sample ***,we present a hybrid model to ensure rationality in the process of sample similarity comparison and selection,where features of analytical modeling with special significance are introduced into data-driven *** the same time,a data-driven method can also be integrated in the hybrid model to achieve rapid error correction of analytical models,enabling fast and accurate post-disturbance transient stability *** a paradigm,we consider a scheme for online critical clearing time estimation,where integrated extended equal area criterion and extreme learning machine are employed as analytical model part and data-driven error correction model part,*** results validate the credible efficacy of the proposed method.

An Algorithm for Short-Circuit Current Interval in Distribution Networks with Inverter Type Distributed Generation Based on Affine Arithmetic
