This paper investigates integration of distributed energy resources(DERs)in microgrids(MGs)through two-stage power conversion structures consisting of DC-DC boost converter and DC-AC voltage source converter(VsC)*** contrast to existing investigations that treated DC-link voltage as an ideal constant voltage,this paper considers the non-ideal dynamic coupling between both subsystems for completeness and higher accuracy,which introduces additional DC-side dynamics to the *** analysis shows parameters of the boost converter’s power model that impact stability through the *** selecting these parameters can mitigate this effect on stability and improve dynamic performance across the ***,an optimization framework is developed to facilitate in selecting adequate boost converter parameters in designing a stable voltage source converter-based microgrid(VsC-MG).The developed optimization framework,based on particle swarm optimization,considers dynamic coupling between both subsystems and is also effective in avoiding inadequate boost converter parameters capable of propagating instability through the DC-link to the *** are performed with MATLAB/simulink to validate theoretical analyses.

In the united states,the buildings sector consumes about 76%of electricity use and 40% of all primary energy use and associated greenhouse gas *** behavior has drawn increasing research interests due to its impacts on the building energy ***,occupant behavior study at urban scale remains a challenge,and very limited studies have been *** an effort to couple big data analysis with human mobility modeling,this study has explored urban scale human mobility utilizing three months Global Positioning system(GPs)data of 93,o00 users at Phoenix Metropolitan *** research extracted stay points from raw data,and identified users'home,work,and other locations by Density-Based spatial Clustering ***,daily mobility patterns were constructed using different types of *** propose a novel approach to predict urban scale daily human mobility patterns with 12-hour prediction horizon,using Long short-Term Memory(LsTM)neural network *** shows the developed models achieved around 85%average accuracy and about 86%mean *** developed models can be further applied to analyze urban scale occupant behavior,building energy demand and flexibility,and contributed to urban planning.

This paper investigates the cooperative adaptive optimal output regulation problem of continuous-time linear multi-agent *** the multi-agent system dynamics are uncertain,solving regulator equations and the corresponding algebraic Riccati equations is challenging,especially for high-order *** this paper,a novel method is proposed to approximate the solution of regulator equations,i.e.,gradient descent *** is worth noting that this method obtains gradients through online data rather than model information.A data-driven distributed adaptive suboptimal controller is developed by adaptive dynamic programming,so that each follower can achieve asymptotic tracking and disturbance ***,the effectiveness of the proposed control method is validated by simulations.

Calculation of static voltage stability margin(sVsM)of AC/DC power systems with lots of renewable energy sources(REss)integration requires consideration of uncertain load growth and renewable energy generation *** paper presents a bi-level optimal power flow(BLOPF)model to identify the worst-case sVsM of an AC/DC power system with line commutation converter-based HVDC and multi-terminal voltage sourced converter-based HVDC transmission *** of uncertain load growth’s hypercone model and control mode switching of DC converter stations are considered in the BLOPF ***,uncertain REs output fluctuations are described as intervals,and two three-level optimal power flow(TLOPF)models are established to identify interval bounds of the system worst-case *** two TLOPF models are both transformed into max–min bi-level optimization models according to independent characteristics of different uncertain ***,transforming the inner level model into its dual form,max–min BLOPF models are simplified to single-level optimization models for direct *** results on the modified IEEE-39 bus AC/DC case and an actual large-scale AC/DC case in China indicate correctness and efficiency of the proposed identification method.

One potential solution to the problems of energy storage and conversion is the use of reversible protonic ceramic electrochemical cells(R-PCEC),which are based on the solid oxide fuel cell(sOFC)technology and offer a flexible route to the generation of renewable ***,the R-PCEC development faces a range of significant challenges,including slow oxygen reaction kinetics,inadequate durability,and poor round-trip efficiency resulting from the inadequacy of an air *** address these issues,we report novel B-sites doped Pr_(0.5)Ba_(0.5)Co_(0.7)Fe_(0.3)O_(3−δ)(PBCF)with varying amounts of sn as the air electrode for R-PCEC to further enhance electrochemical performance at lower *** 600℃,R-PCEC with an air electrode consisting of Pr_(0.5)Ba_(0.5)Co_(0.7)Fe_(0.25)sn_(0.05)O_(3+δ)has achieved peak power density of 1.12 W∙cm^(−2) in the fuel cell mode and current density of 1.79 A∙cm^(−2) in the electrolysis mode at a voltage of 1.3 ***,R-PCECs have shown good stability in the electrolysis mode of 100 *** study presents a practical method for developing durable high-performance air electrodes for R-PCECs.

We consider the problem of complex root classification,i.e.,finding the conditions on the coefficients of a univariate polynomial for all possible multiplicity structures on its complex *** is well known that such conditions can be written as conjunctions of several polynomial equalities and one inequality in the *** polynomials in the coefficients are called discriminants for *** is also known that discriminants can be obtained using repeated parametric greatest common *** resulting discriminants are usually nested determinants,i.e.,determinants of matrices whose entries are determinants,and so *** this paper,we give a new type of discriminant that is not based on repeated greatest common *** new discriminants are simpler in the sense that they are non-nested determinants and have smaller maximum degrees.

The physical formation mechanisms of the Atlantic Multidecadal Variability(AMV)in the context of global warming have been a key research topic(Vecchi et al.,2017).The conventional view is that the AMV is mainly driven by internal dynamics within the climate system,especially in the Atlantic Ocean(Zhang et al.,2019).However,some studies suggest that decadal to multidecadal variations in North Atlantic sea surface temperature(ssT)since around 1950 are related to anthropogenic and natural aerosol emissions(Otter?et al.,2010;Booth et al.,2012;Hua et al.,2019).
