Characteristics of anoxic phosphors removal in sequence batch reactor

The characteristics of anaerobic phosphorus release and anoxic phosphorus uptake were investigated in sequencing batch reactors using denitrifying phosphorus removing bacteria （DPB） sludge. The lab-scale experiments were accomplished under conditions of various nitrite concentrations （5.5, 9.5, and 15 mg/L） and mixed liquor suspended solids （MLSS）（1844, 3231, and 6730 mg/L）. The results obtained confirmed that nitrite, MLSS, and pH were key factors, which had a significant impact on anaerobic phosphorus release and anoxic phosphorus uptake in the biological phosphorous removal process. The nitrites were able to successfully act as electron acceptors for phosphorous uptake at a limited concentration between 5.5 and 9.5 mg/L. The denitrification and dephosphorous were inhibited when the nitrite concentration reached 15 mg/L. This observation indicated that the nitrite would not inhibit phosphorus uptake before it exceeded a threshold concentration. It was assumed that an increase of MLSS concentration from 1844 mg/L to 6730 mg/L led to the increase of denitrification and anoxic P-uptake rate. On the contrary, the average P-uptake/N denitrifying reduced from 2.10 to 1.57 mg PO4^3--P/mg NO3^--N. Therefore, it could be concluded that increasing MLSS of the DEPHANOX system might shorten the reaction time of phosphorus release and anoxic phosphorus uptake. However, excessive MLSS might reduce the specific denitrifying rate. Meanwhile, a rapid pH increase occurred at the beginning of the anoxic conditions as a result of denitrification and anoxic phosphate uptake. Anaerobic P release rate increased with an increase in pH. Moreover, when pH exceeded a relatively high value of 8.0, the dissolved P concentration decreased in the liquid phase, because of chemical precipitation. This observation suggested that pH should be strictly controlled below 8.0 to avoid chemical precipitation if the biological denitrifying phosphorus removal capability is to be studied accurately.

So far, most of the proposed group key exchange （GKE） protocols do not consider the attack when the adversary reveals the parties＇ ephemeral private keys without their long-term private keys, so these GKE protocols are insecure on this attack. In this paper, for resisting above attack, we propose a dynamic authenticated group key exchange （AGKE） protocol in the ID-based setting. Different from previous ID-based protocols, our protocol does not utilize bilinear pairings, which makes it more efficient. At last, we analyze the security of the protocol in the cCK （enhanced Canetti-Krawczyk） security model.

In this paper, we consider a discrete version of Aleksandrov＇s projection theorem. We prove that an origin-symmetric convex lattice set, whose lattice＇s y-coordinates＇ absolute values are not bigger than 2, can be uniquely determined by its lattice projection counts if its cardinality is not 11. This partly answers a question on the discrete version of Aleksandrov＇s projection theorem which was proposed by Gardner, Gronchi and Zong in 2005.

The calimicrobialites of Chongyang （崇阳）, Hubei （湖北） Province, occur above the mass extinction line in the Late Permian reef facies. Below the boundary are the sponge reef limestone, crinoid limestone and algae-foraminifer bioclastic limestone of the Changxing （长兴） Formation. The calimicrobialites are generally composed of mid-coarse grains and microlite calcite with a structure of ＂graniphylc fabric＂ and stromatolite. The fossils discovered in the calimicrobialites include globular cyanobacteria, ostracods, micro-gastropods, bivalves, fish teeth and some micro-problematical fossils. Conodont fossils of Hindeodus parvus, H. typicalis and H. latidentatus were also found in the calimicrobialites. According to the conodonts, the calimicrobialites spanned the latest Permian and earliest Triassic in the Chongyang Section. The upper part above the first occurrence of Hindeodus parvus should be attributed to the earliest Triassic, and the lower part to the Changhsingian. The sedimentary structure, fossil composition and conodont zonation of the Chongyang calimicrobialites can be well correlated with the calimicrobialites found in other areas of South China.

Anoplophora glabripennis(Asian longhorn beetle,ALB)and Anoplophora chinensis(Citrus longhorn beetle,CLB)are native forest pests in China;they have become important international quarantine *** are found using the same Salix aureopendula host tree of Cixi,Zhejiang province,*** this host tree,we collected additional beetles that appeared to be morphologically intermediate between ALB and *** using a stereoscope,we observed that there were several bumps on the base of the elytra,which was inconsistent with ALB,which typically has a smooth elytral base,but was more like CLB,which has numerous short tubercles on the elytral *** their sympatry and intermediate morphology,we hypothesized that these may represent ALB×CLB *** studied the genomic profiles for 46 samples(ALB,CLB,and putative hybrids)using genotyping-by-sequencing(GBS)providing a reduced representation of the entire *** principal component analyses on the 163 GBS-derived single nucleotide polymorphism data,we found putative hybrids tightly clustered with ALB,but genetically distinct from the CLB ***,our initial hybrid hypothesis was not supported by genomic ***,while mating experiments between adult ALB and CLB were successful in 4 separate years(2017,2018,2020,and 2021),and oviposition behavior was observed,no progeny was *** employed population genomic analysis and biological hybridization experiments,we conclude that the putative hybrids represent newly discovered morphological variants within *** approach further confirmed the advantage of genome-wide information for Anoplophora species assignment in certain ambiguous classification cases.

Deep learning has been attracting increasing attention in the recent decade throughout science and engineering due to its wide range of successful *** real problems, however, most implementation stages for applying deep learning still require inevitable manual interventions, which naturally conducts difficulty in its availability to general users with less expertise and also deviates from the intelligence of humans. It is thus a challenging while critical issue to enhance the level of automation across all elements of the entire deep learning framework, like input amelioration, model designing and learning, and output adjustment. This paper tries to list several representative issues of this research topic, and briefly describe their recent research progress and some related works proposed along this research line. Some specific challenging problems have also been presented.

This paper presents a quadratic programming method for optimal multi-degree reduction of B6zier curves with G^1-continuity. The L2 and I2 measures of distances between the two curves are used as the objective functions. The two additional parameters, available from the coincidence of the oriented tangents, are constrained to be positive so as to satisfy the solvability condition. Finally, degree reduction is changed to solve a quadratic problem of two parameters with linear constraints. Applications of degree reduction of Bezier curves with their parameterizations close to arc-length parameterizations are also discussed.

The changes in the thermohaline circulation （THC） because of the increased CO2 in the atmosphere play an important role in future climate regimes. In this article, a new climate model developed at the Max-Planck Institute for Meteorology is used to study the variation in THC strength, the changes of North Atlantic deep-water （NADW） formation, and the regional responses of the THC in the North Atlantic to increasing atmospheric CO2. From 2000 to 2100, under increased CO2 scenarios （B1, AIB, and A2）, the strength of THC decreases by 4 Sv （106 m^3/s）, 5.1 Sv, and 5.2 Sv, respectively, equivalent to a reduction of 20%, 25%, and 25.1% of the present THC strength. The analyses show that the oceanic deep convective activity significantly strengthens in the Greenland-leeland-Norway （GIN） Seas owing to saltier （denser） upper oceans, whereas weakens in the Labrador Sea and in the south of the Denmark Strait region （SDSR） because of surface warming and freshening due to global warming. The saltiness of the GIN Seas is mainly caused by the increase of the saline North Atlantic inflow through the Faro-Bank （FB） Channel. Under the scenario A1B, the deep-water formation rate in the North Atlantic decreases from 16.2 Sv to 12.9 Sv with increasing CO2.
