TCM formulae are the important guidances for clinical application of traditional Chinese medicines,which follow the principles of diagnosis and treatment in *** the bio-active components of TCM formulae is the key to the modernization and internationalization of traditional Chinese *** the rapid development of modern instruments and technology,many new theories,methods and strategies are emerging,which upgrade the research of TCM formulae into a higher *** when the medicinal efficacy,bio-active components,function mechanism of TCM formulae are understood,we can guarantee TCM safety and quality *** this paper,we summarized the latest modern research thoughts and methods on bio-active components of TCM formulae including formula decomposition study,serum pharmacology and serum pharmacochemistry,association analysis,biochro-matography,network pharmacology,metabolomics and proteomics,so as to provide reference for the research and development of TCM in the future.

Paleomagnetic results of Late Paleozoic rocks from northern Qiangtang Block in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, china

Tectonic evolution of the Tethys and the boundary between the Gondwanaland and the Eurasia during the Carboniferous and Permian remain hotly debated. Qiangtang region in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau may be a key place to study these problems. A paleomagnetic study was conducted on the Late Paleozoic rocks in the northern Qiangtang region （33.7°N, 86.7°W）, Tibet. Two sites （21 samples） in the Upper Carboniferous, eleven sites （101 samples） in the Permian, and two sites （16 samples） in the Lower Triassic were investigated. The rock magnetic data revealed hematite and magnetite as the main magnetic carders. In stepwise thermal demagnetization and/or combined alternating field （AC） demagnetization, two characteristic components in the majority of the samples were identified as （1） the Low-temperature Component （LTC）, characterized by northerly decli- nation and moderate to steep inclination, corresponding to a pole position overlay with the present North Pole. A minority of the samples present single component, and their directions are the same as （2） the High-temperature Component （HTC） of double components. The combined single-component and HTC data of the Permian can pass the R-test at 95% level and the F-test at 99% level, as well as the BC-test. The pole position from the Late Carboniferous is at 31.8°S, 45.7°E with dp=2.1, dm=3.9, that from the Early and Middle （Late） Permian is at 31.7°S, 46.8°E with @=9.2, dm=16.9 （34.4°N, 54.1°E with dp=6.9, dm=1 2.5） respectively, and that from the Early Triassic is at 16.9°S, 22.5°E with dp=4.9, dm=9.2. These pole positions are different from the other poles for the Qiangtang Block, which suggests the single-component and HTC directions are probably a primary magnetization and the northern Qiangtang Block was paleogeographically situated at low latitudes in the Northern Hemisphere in the Late Paleozoic.

Palaeohydmlogical investigations were carried out in the Guchuan Basin in the upper reaches of the Weihe River valley, china. A set of palaeoflood slackwater deposits （SWDs） was found interbedded in the Holocene Ioess-paleosol sequence at the Guchuanzhen site （GCZ）. These palaeoflood SWDs were studied by field observations and laboratory analyses including concentrations of chemical elements and optically stimulated luminescence （OSL） dating. The results showed that the palaeoflood SWDs were the result of the secondary separations of the surface soil and weathered soil layers during the process of water transport and deposition, and without obvious weathering during soil development. These extraordinary flood events were dated back to 3,200-3,000 a B.P. with the OSL method and checked by archaeological dating of the human remains retrieved from the profile. These extraordinary flood events were therefore considered as regional expression of known climatic events and demonstrated the climatic instability in the Holocene. This result is important for understanding the effects of global climate change on the dynamics of river systems.

Dahuang-Gancao decoction(DGD)is a classical formula,which is commonly used for reliving constipation in Chinese *** aim of this study was to investigate the pharmacodynamic,pharmacokinetic and tissue distribution alternations of DGD in normal and constipation *** exhibited stronger purgative effect in constipation mice by the increased fecal excretion and reduced first defection time compared with normal *** Cmax,AUC0-t and MRT0-t of rhein,aloe-emodin,rhein-8-O-β-D-glucoside,sennoside A,and glycyrrhizic acid as main bio-active components in DGD were markedly increased in constipation *** tissue distribution of the analytes in constipation mice were higher than those in normal mice with rhein>rhein-8-O-β-D-glucoside>aloe-emodin>glycyrrhizic acid>emodin in liver,and glycyrrhizic acid>rhein-8-O-β-D-glucoside>liquitin>sennoside A>rhein>aloe-emodin>emodin in *** kidney concentrations of the analytes showed a descending order of rhein>rhein-8-O-β-D-glucoside>sennoside A>glycyrrhizic acid>aloe-emodin>emodin,most of them were higher while rhein was lower in constipation mice than normal *** higher exposure of the anthraquinones in plasma,liver and colon may result in the stronger purgative effect in the constipation mice than normal *** is mainly excreted through the kidney,the decreased level of rhein in constipation mice may explain the alleviated side *** of glycyrrhizic acid in colon may related with the moderate property of *** results provided the experimental basis for understanding the therapeutic effects and metabolite profile of DGD.

Thibetanosides E-H(1-4),four new steroidal constituents including three rare sulfonates(2-4),were isolated from the roots and rhizomes of Helleborus thibetanus,together with nine known steroidal compounds(5-13).Their structures were elucidated by detailed spectroscopic analysis,including 1D and 2D NMR techniques and chemical *** this study,compounds 2-13 were evaluated for their cytotoxic activities against HCT116,A549 and HepG2 tumor cell lines in *** them,compound 8(thibetanoside C)showed cytotoxicities against A549 cells(IC50 39.6±1.9μmol·L^-1)and HepG2 cells(IC50 41.5±1.1μmol·L^-1),*** 9(23S,24S)-24-[(O-β-D-fucopyranosyl)oxy]-3β,23-dihydroxy-spirosta-5,25(27)-diene-1β-yl O-(4-O-acetyl-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl)-(1→2)-O-[β-D-xylopyranosyl-(1→3)]-α-L-arabinopyranoside)showed cytotoxicity against HCT116 cells(IC5033.6±2.1μmol·L^-1).

Tipping is a phenomenon in multistable systems where small changes in inputs cause huge changes in *** the parameter varies within a certain time scale,the rate will affect the tipping *** behaviors are undesirable in thermoacoustic systems,which are widely used in aviation,power generation and other ***,this paper aims at considering the tipping behaviors of the thermoacoustic system with the time-varying parameters and the combined excitations of additive and multiplicative colored *** dynamical behaviors for the proposed thermoacoustic model are implemented through the reduced Fokker-Planck-Kolmogorov equation derived by a standard stochastic averaging ***,the tipping problems of the rate-dependent thermoacoustic systems with random fluctuations are studied by virtue of the obtained probability density *** results show that the rate delays the value of the tipping parameter compared to the one with the quasi-steady assumption,which is called as a rate-dependent tipping-delay ***,the influences of the initial values,the rate,the changing time of the parameters,and the correlation time of the noises on the rate-dependent tipping-delay phenomenon are analyzed in *** results are of great significance for research in related fields such as aviation and land gas turbines.

Hybrid assessment of pre-blasting weakening to horizontal section top coal caving (HSTCC) in steep and thick seams

Horizontal section top-coal(HSTCC)caving offers a powerful method to efficiently excavate rude coal in steep and thick seams,and pre-blasting weakening has a profound effect on pursuing great production,high efficiency and good benefit under particular conditions like a small-scale working face with large-scale sectional caving height.+564-level HSTCC working face in B3–6coal seams of Jiangou Colliery in Urumqi was taken as study case for in situ industrial *** thickness of seams in the study case is about 50.0 m and average angel here is over 83°.In the industrial experiments,at first we adopted continuous charge machine and emulsion matrix explosive to substitute for traditional blasting schemes for specific geological settings in the study *** analyses and assessments with blasting crack propagation analysis,abutment pressure monitoring prediction and economical benefit assessment were attributed to be able to attest pre-blasting weakening effects *** crack propagation analysis after pre-blasting weakening showed that in all triple monitoring bore holes rock masses of top-coal would be fallen into three stages from the bottom up:fracture zone,plastic zone and elastic zone generally,and fracture toughness respectively in correspondent zones was calculated by the analytical formula:0.5616–0.8806,0.6403–0.9541 and0.7535–1.1900 MPa m1/2after pre-blasting *** monitoring prediction and economical benefit assessment also indicated that it was necessary to introduce the pre-blasting weakening with predominant blasting scheme from both *** excavation in extremely steep and thick coal seams,relevant results would be a useful tool to study the mechanism of pre-blasting weakening both qualitatively and quantitatively.

Five new polyhydroxylated furostanol saponins were isolated from the roots and rhizomes of Tupistra chinensis,and their structures were determined as tupistrosides J–N(1–5),together with four known furostanol saponins(6–9),on the basis of physico-chemical properties and spectral *** them,compounds 3 and 5 showed cytotoxicity against human cancer cell lines SW620 with IC50 values of 72.5±2.4 and 77.3±2.5μmol·L^–1,*** 4 showed cytotoxicity against human cancer cell line HepG2 with IC50 value of 88.6±2.1μmol·L^–1.
