Deliberate design of MOF-based pre-catalyst rationalizing the structural reconstruction toward efficient oxygen evolution reaction

Metal-organic frameworks （MOFs）,that have emerged as promising electrocatalysts in oxygen evolution reaction （OER）,usually undergo structural reconstruction to form metal hydroxides as active ***,it remains a great challenge to design and synthesize ideal MOF-based pre-catalysts for properly cognizing and utilizing the reconstruction process toward efficient OER ***,the well-defined MOF-808 is post-modified by 2-hydroxyphosphonoacetic acid （HPAA） to form a micro-adsorber that enables to capture of metal ions ***3+and Ni2+ions are synergistically anchored into the microadsorber,developing a Fe/Ni-containing pre-catalyst that can be dynamically electrooxidized to be an active and stable dual-site electrocatalyst denoted by R-MOF-HPAA@FeNi with abundant metal *** a result,R-MOF-HPAA@FeNi exhibits an excellent OER performance with a low overpotential of 272 mV and Tafel slope of 35.9 m V dec-1,as well as long-term stability over 300 h at 10 m A *** and theoretical calculations suggest the resulting catalyst mainly follows a lattice oxygen mechanism （LOM） of dual-metal-site mechanism （DMSM）.Owing to the chelating role of HPAA,the post-synthesized MOF-HPAA behaves as a trap to uniformly and firmly adhere Fe3+and Ni2+ions,leading to a functionalized MOF-based pre-catalyst which can be structurally evolved into atomic level-distributed OER electrocatalysts.

Under the assumption of integral m-Bakry-émery Ricci curvature, we give an Escobar-LichnerowiczReilly type eigenvalue estimate for the weighted p-Laplacian on compact smooth metric measure spaces with or without boundaries. This conclusion is a generalization and improvement of Wang-Li’s result in the case of integral Bakry-émery Ricci curvature, and of Seto-Wei’s one to the compact metric measure space setting. Our main tools are the weighted p-Bochner formula and the weighted p-Reilly formula.

Cerebral ischemia is a major health risk that requires preventive approaches in addition to drug *** exercise enhances neurogenesis and synaptogenesis,and has been widely used for functional rehabilitation after *** this study,we determined whether exercise training before disease onset can alleviate the severity of cerebral *** also examined the role of exercise-induced circulating factors in these *** mice were subjected to 14 days of treadmill exercise training before surgery for middle cerebral artery *** found that this exercise pre-conditioning strategy effectively attenuated brain infarct area,inhibited gliogenesis,protected synaptic proteins,and improved novel object and spatial memory *** analysis showed that circulating adiponectin plays a critical role in these preventive effects of *** activation of adiponectin receptors by Adipo Ron mimicked the effects of exercise,while inhibiting receptor activation abolished the exercise *** summary,our results suggest a crucial role of circulating adiponectin in the effects of exercise pre-conditioning in protecting against cerebral ischemia and supporting the health benefits of exercise.

Synthesis and Efficiency of a SphericalMacroporous Epoxy-dicyandiamide ChelateResin for Preconcentrating and SeparatingTrace Au, Hg, Pd and Ru from Samples

A novel spherical macroporous epoxy-dicyandiamide chelate resin was synthesized simply and rapidly from epoxy resin and used for the preconcentration and separation of trace amounts of Au (Ⅲ ), Hg (Ⅱ ), Pd (Ⅳ) and Ru (Ⅲ) ions from solution samples. The analyzed ions can be quantitatively concentrated by the resin at a flow rate of 2. 0 mL/min at pH 4, and can also be desorbed with 15 mL of 4 mol/L HCl + 0. 3 g thiourea from the resin column with recoveries of 96. 5%-99. 0%. After the chelate resin was reused for 7 times, the recoveries of these ions were still over 92%, and 400-1 000 times of excess of Fe(Ⅲ ), Al(Ⅲ ), Ni( II), Mn( Ⅱ ), Cr (Ⅲ ), Cu ( Ⅱ ), Cd (Ⅱ ) and Pb (Ⅱ ) caused little interference with the determination of these ions by an inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometer (ICP-OES ). The capacities of the resin for the analytes are in the range of 0. 35~0. 92 mmol/g. The RSDs of the proposed method are in the range of 1. 1 % ~4. 0% for each kind of the analyzed ions. The recoveries of a standard added in real solution samples are between 96. 5% and 98. 5%, and the results for the analyzed ions in a powder sample are in good agreement with their reported values.

Heat Conduction in Multilayered Thermoelectric Materials with Multiple Cracks

Multilayer thin-film thermoelectric materials are of technological importance. This paper describes a method to analyze the heat conduction in a multilayered thermoelectric plate containing some non-collinear cracks. The material properties in one layer may be different from those in another even though each layer may still be homogeneous. Using the Fourier integral transforms, the boundary value problem is reduced to a system of general singular integral equations. The model is sufficiently general to account for any number of layers and any number of cracks. As a numerical illustration, the electric flux intensity factor, energy flux intensity factor and thermal flux intensity factor for a three-layer plate specimen with two cracks are presented. The effects of strip width on the electric flux intensity factor and thermal flux intensity factor are studied.

Ground-active arthropod responses to rainfall-induced dune microhabitats in a desertified steppe ecosystem,China

Different microhabitats along dune slope were found to affect the distribution of plant performances and soil properties in desertified ecosystems. However, the ground-active arthropod responses to rainfall-induced dune microhabitats were largely unknown in desertified regions. At dune top, midslope and bottom, ground-active arthropods were sampled by the method of pitfall traps in addition to the herbaceous and soil measurements during spring, summer and autumn from 2012 to 2013. Ground-active arthropod had a strong dynamics in time, seasonally and yearly in responses to rainfall-induced dune microhabitats and the variations were significant higher than those of soil and herbaceous properties. The abundance distribution of dominant taxa （i.e. Melolonthidae, Carabidae, Glaphyridae, Tenebrionidae and Formicidae families） among dune microhabitats was similar between seasons within the same year, whereas they differed markedly between two sampling years with varying rainfall patterns. A significant （P〈0.05） difference in total abundance, taxa richness and Shannon index among dune microhabitats was found only in certain season time, particularly in 2013; however, no significant （P〉0.05） differences were found among dune microhabitats when averaged on three sampling seasons within the year of either 2012 or 2013. In all, the taxonomical structure differed considerably from the community structure in ground-active arthropod response to rainfall-induced dune microhabitats. The spatial distribution of taxonomical groups among dune microhabitats was significantly affected by inter-annual rainfall changes, whereas that of community structure was affected by both intra- and inter-annual rainfall changes in desertified ecosystems.

Coal ash melting characteristics has a direct impact on the smooth operation of entrained *** conversion of coal ash is very significant to be investigated,because the mineral can affect the melting temperature and viscosity under high temperature *** this paper,the effects of different Al2O3/CaO on the mineral conversion,melting temperature and viscosity of Ningdong coal ash are studied by the combination of experiment and *** trend of melting temperature decreases firstly and rises with increasing Al_(2)O_(3)/*** ashmelting point reached to the lowestwhen the ratio is *** and Factsage software are used to analyze crystallization behavior of *** results showthat the content of anorthite,albite and corundumincreases and subsequently decreases,while the content of mullite decreases firstly and then rises with increasing Al_(2)O_(3)/*** content with CaO can contribute to form albite and anorthite of ***,high content with Al_(2)O_(3) can tend to produce mullite of *** results of experimental and simulation are basically the same,which lays a foundation for the melting characteristics of Ningdong coal ash and can provide technical support for the smooth operation of the entrained-gasifier.

Surface effect on band structure of magneto-elastic phononic crystal nanoplates subject to magnetic and stress loadings

This paper presents a theoretical model for the size-dependent band structure of magneto-elastic phononic crystal(PC)nanoplates according to the Kirchhoff plate theory and Gurtin-Murdoch theory,in which the surface effect and magneto-elastic coupling are *** introducing the nonlinear coupling constitutive relation of magnetostrictive materials,Terfenol-D/epoxy PC nanoplates are carried out as an example to investigate the dependence of the band structure on the surface effect,magnetic field,pre-stress,and geometric *** results show that the surface effect has promotive influence on dispersion curves of the band structure,and the band gaps can be improved gradually with the increase in the material intrinsic ***,the band gaps exhibit obvious nonlinear coupling characteristics owing to the competition between the magnetic field and the *** considering the surface effect and magneto-elastic coupling,the open and closed points of band gaps are found when the lattice constant to thickness ratio *** study may provide a method for flexible tunability of elastic wave propagation in magneto-elastic PC nanoplates and functional design of highperformance nanoplate-based devices.

Structural properties and catalytic performance of the La-Cu-Zn mixed oxides for CO2 hydrogenation to methanol

A series of La-Cu-Zn-O mixed oxide catalysts were synthesized by a co-precipitation method and calcined under different temperatures. The XRD, BET, TPR, N2 O-adsorption, XPS, SEM and TPD techniques were carried out to measure the aimed catalysts. The results indicated that the chemical environment of lanthanum element changes with the increase of calcination temperature. The La2 CuO4 perovskite structure is obtained at the temperature higher than 823 K and the special copper species appear in the perovskites due to the special structure property. The catalysts with La2 CuO4 perovskite structure show higher methanol selectivity compared with the mixed copper catalyst. For the perovskite catalysts, the conversion of CO2 changes with the same tendency of the copper species ratio（（Cu^（α＋）＋Cu^0）/（Cu（Total））%）, which implied both Cu^（α＋） and Cu^0 are important active sites in the perovskite catalyst for the reaction.
