Micro aerial platforms face significant challenges in achieving long controlled endurance as most of the energy is consumed to overcome the weight of the *** this study,we present a controllable micro blimp that addresses this issue through the use of a helium-filled *** micro blimp has a long axis of 23 cm and is propelled by four insect-sized flapping-wing thrusters,each weighing 80 mg and with a wingspan of 3.5 *** distributed thrusters enable controlled motions and provide the micro blimp with an advantage in flight endurance compared to multirotors or flapping-wing micro aerial vehicles at the same size *** enhance the performance of the controlled flight,we propose a wireless control module that enables manipulation from a distance of up to 100 ***,a smartphone application is developed to send instructions to the circuit board,allowing the blimp to turn left and right,ascend and descend,and achieve a combination of these movements *** findings demonstrate that this micro blimp is one of the smallest controlled self-powered micro blimps to date.

Flood frequency in river source regions is significantly affected by rainfall and snowmelt as part of climatic changes.A traditional univariate flood frequency analysis cannot reflect the complexity of floods,and when used in isolation,it can only underestimate flood *** effective flood prevention and mitigation,it is essential to consider the combined effects of precipitation and *** functions can effectively quantify the joint distribution relationship between floods and their associated variables without restrictions on their distribution *** study uses copula functions to consider a multivariate probability distribution model of flood peak flow(Q)with cumulative snowmelt(Csm)and cumulative precipitation(CPr)for the Hutubi River basin located in northern Xinjiang,*** joint frequencies of rainfall and snowmelt floods are predicted using copula models based on the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6 *** results show that Q has a significant positive correlation with 24-d Csm(r=0.559,p=0.002)and 23-d CPr(r=0.965,pse in the future,and mid-(2050e2074)and long-term(2075e2099)floods will be more severe than those in the near-term(2025e2049).The probability of flood occurrence is higher under the ssP2-4.5 and ssP1-2.6 scenarios than under *** during the historical period(1990e2014)led to extreme floods,and increasing future precipitation trends are found to be *** increases with rising temperatures and occurs earlier than estimated,leading to an earlier flood period in the basin and more frequent snowmelt *** Q under the joint return period is larger than that during the same univariate return *** difference indicates that neglecting the interaction between precipitation and snowmelt for floods leads to an underestimation of the flood risk(with underestimations ranging from 0.3%to 22%).The underestimations decrease with an increase

Over the past 70 years, the semiconductor industry has undergone transformative changes,largely driven by the miniaturization of devices and the integration of innovative structures and materials. Two-dimensional(2D) materials like transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs) and graphene are pivotal in overcoming the limitations of silicon-based technologies, offering innovative approaches in transistor design and functionality, enabling atomic-thin channel transistors and monolithic 3D integration. We review the important progress in the application of 2D materials in future information technology, focusing in particular on microelectronics and optoelectronics. We comprehensively summarize the key advancements across material production, characterization metrology, electronic devices, optoelectronic devices, and heterogeneous integration on silicon. A strategic roadmap and key challenges for the transition of 2D materials from basic research to industrial development are outlined. To facilitate such a transition, key technologies and tools dedicated to 2D materials must be developed to meet industrial standards, and the employment of AI in material growth, characterizations, and circuit design will be essential. It is time for academia to actively engage with industry to drive the next 10 years of 2D material research.

Using an on-the-fly scanning scheme, line confocal microscopy can obtain complex structures of large biological tissues with high throughput. Yet, it suffers from lateral imaging asymmetry and thus introduces the potential deformations of the observation results. Here, we propose cross-line illumination microscopy (cLIM) that acquires the imaging data of two perpendicular directions simultaneously through the same objective lens in a line scanning and utilizes two-direction deconvolution fusion to achieve lateral symmetric imaging *** fluorescence beads indicates that cLIM reduces lateral resolution asymmetry from 46.1%to 2.5%and improves lateral resolution by 31.0%, compared with traditional line-scanning imaging. Compared with commercial point-confocal microscopy, the cLIM has a 25.84×increase in imaging speed and 1.93×better background-suppressing ability when imaging an 11,306μm×7783μm×100μm mouse kidney slice. We also show the advantages of the cLIM in observing direction-sensitive texture features by imaging a muscular tissue slice. cLIM offers a novel solution to achieve laterally symmetric line-scanning imaging with simple modifications while maintaining high throughput and accuracy for imaging large-scale samples.

Effect of Blood Circulation in Veins on Resonance suppression of the Dragonfly Wing Constructed by Numerical Method

To reveal the resonance suppression mechanism of the blood circulation in dragonfly wings,a numerical modeling method of dragonfly wings based on Voronoi diagrams is proposed,and the changes in mass,aerodynamic damping,and natural frequencies caused by blood circulation in veins are *** equivalent mass of blood,boundary conditions,and aerodynamic damping are calculated *** analysis and harmonic response analysis of wing models with different blood circulation paths are performed using the finite-element method(FEM).The vibration reduction ratioδis introduced to compare the damping efficiency of different mass ***,a natural frequency testing device is constructed to measure the natural frequencies of dragonfly *** results indicate that the shape,mass,and natural frequencies of the dragonfly wing model constructed by numerical method agree well with *** mass distribution on the wing can be altered by blood circulation,thereby adjusting the natural frequencies and achieving resonance *** highestδof 1.013 is observed in the C region when blood circulates solely in secondary veins,but it is still lower than theδof 1.017 when blood circulates in complete *** aerodynamic damping ratio(1.19–1.79%)should not be neglected in the vibration analysis of the beating wing.

X-ray fluorescence(XRF)sensor-based ore sorting enables efficient beneficiation of heterogeneous ores,while intraparticle heterogeneity can cause significant grade detection errors,leading to misclassifications and hindering widespread technology *** classification models are crucial to determine if actual grade exceeds the sorting threshold using localized XRF *** studies mainly used linear regression(LR)algorithms including simple linear regression(sLR),multivariable linear regression(MLR),and multivariable linear regression with interaction(MLRI)but often fell short attaining satisfactory *** study employed the particle swarm optimization support vector machine(PsO-sVM)algorithm for sorting porphyritic copper ore ***-scale results showed PsO-sVM out-performed LR and raw data(RD)models and the significant interaction effects among input features was *** poor input data quality,PsO-sVM demonstrated exceptional ***-scale sorting achieved 93.0%accuracy,0.24%grade increase,84.94%recovery rate,57.02%discard rate,and a remarkable 39.62 yuan/t net smelter return(NsR)increase compared to no *** improvements were achieved by the PsO-sVM model with optimized input combinations and highest data quality(T=10,T is XRF testing times).The unsuitability of LR methods for XRF sensor-based sorting of investigated sample is *** element selection and mineral association analysis elucidate element importance and influence mechanisms.
