This paper analyzed GPS data from the Topo-Iberia network spanning almost 12 years(2008-2020).The data quality information for all 26 Topo-Iberia stations is provided for the first time,complementing the Spanish Geological Survey’s storage work.Data analyses based on quality indicators obtained using TEQC have been carried out.The guidelines and data quality information from the IGS stations have been considered as the quality references,with the stations ALJI,EPCU,and TIOU standing out as the worst stations,while on the contrary,FUEN,PALM,PILA,and TRIA meet the quality requirements to become an IGS station.The relationship between the GPS data quality and their GAMIT-and Gipsy X-derived postfit ionosphere-free phase residuals has also been investigated,and the results reveal an inversely proportional relationship.It has been found that the stations showing an increase in elevation of the horizon line,also show an increase in cycle slips and multipath,are among the poorest quality stations,and among those with the highest postfit RMS of phase residuals.Moreover,the evolution of the vegetation around the antenna should be considered as it could cause a progressive loss of quality,which is not complying with the IGS standards.The quality assessment shows that the Topo-Iberia stations are appropriate for geodetic purposes,but permanent monitoring would be necessary to avoid the least possible loss of data and quality.In addition,a method to characterize the GNSS data quality is proposed.

An up-flow anaerobic sludge blanket(UASB)reactor targeting sulfate reduction was operated under a constant TOC/S-SO2-4ratio of 1.5±0.3 g C/g S for 639 days using crude glycerol as carbon source.A filamentous and fluffy flocculant material,namely slime-like substances(SLS),was gradually accumulated in the bioreactor after the cease of methanogenic activity.The accumulation of SLS was followed by a decrease in the removal efficiencies and a deterioration in the performance.Selected characteristics of SLS were investigated to explore the causes of its formation and the effect of SLS on the UASB performance.Results showed that glycerol fermentation and sulfate reduction processes taking place in the reactor were mainly accomplished in the bottom part of the UASB reactor,as the sludge concentration in the bottom was higher.The accumulation of SLS in the UASB reactor caused sludge flotation that further led to biomass washout,which decreased the sulfate and glycerol removal efficiencies.Batch activity tests performed with granular sludge(GS),slime-covered granular sludge(SCGS)and SLS showed that there was no difference between GS and SLS in the mechanism of glycerol fermentation and sulfate reduction.However,the specific sulfate reduction rate of GS was higher than that of SLS,while SLS showed a higher glycerol fermentation rate than that of GS.The different rates in GS and SLS were attributed to the higher relative abundances of fermentative microorganisms found in SLS and higher relative abundances of sulfate reducing bacteria(SRB)found in GS.

Carbon dioxide can be converted into functional heterocycles known as cyclic carbonates,whose recent reactivity has been expanded towards the formation of tailor-made engineering polymers.This minireview gives an overview of the most topical developments in this area with a special focus on the synthetic methods employed to prepare these CO_(2)based synthons.In addition,their application potential in the area of polymer science using a variety of polymerization techniques is discussed that have in common the ring-opening of the carbonate monomers.Future perspectives are provided that provide impetus for the scientific communities aligning research to the use of sustainable processes for polymers from recyclable carbon sources such as CO_(2).

The aim of this work is to predict, for the first time, the high temperature flow stress dependency with the grain size and the underlaid deformation mechanism using two machine learning models, random forest（RF） and artificial neural network（ANN）. With that purpose, a ZK30 magnesium alloy was friction stir processed（FSP） using three different severe conditions to obtain fine grain microstructures（with average grain sizes between 2 and 3 μm） prone to extensive superplastic response. The three friction stir processed samples clearly deformed by grain boundary sliding（GBS） deformation mechanism at high temperatures. The maximum elongations to failure, well over 400% at high strain rate of 10-2s-1, were reached at 400 ℃ in the material with coarsest grain size of 2.8 μm, and at 300 ℃ for the finest grain size of 2 μm. Nevertheless, the superplastic response decreased at 350 ℃ and 400 ℃ due to thermal instabilities and grain coarsening, which makes it difficult to assess the operative deformation mechanism at such temperatures. This work highlights that the machine learning models considered, especially the ANN model with higher accuracy in predicting flow stress values, allow determining adequately the superplastic creep behavior including other possible grain size scenarios.

Dysregulation of G9a,a histone-lysine N-methyltransferase,has been observed in Alzheimer’s disease and has been correlated with increased levels of chronic inflammation and oxidative stress.Likewise,microRNAs are involved in many biological processes and diseases playing a key role in pathogenesis,especially in multifactorial diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease.Therefore,our aim has been to provide partial insights into the interconnection between G9a,microRNAs,oxidative stress,and neuroinflammation.To better understand the biology of G9a,we compared the global microRNA expression between senescence-accelerated mouse-prone 8(SAMP8)control mice and SAMP8 treated with G9a inhibitor UNC0642.We found a downregulation of miR-128 after a G9a inhibition treatment,which interestingly binds to the 3′untranslated region(3′-UTR)of peroxisome-proliferator activator receptor γ(PPARG)mRNA.Accordingly,Pparg gene expression levels were higher in the SAMP8 group treated with G9a inhibitor than in the SAMP8 control group.We also observed modulation of oxidative stress responses might be mainly driven Pparg after G9a inhibitor.To confirm these antioxidant effects,we treated primary neuron cell cultures with hydrogen peroxide as an oxidative insult.In this setting,treatment with G9a inhibitor increases both cell survival and antioxidant enzymes.Moreover,up-regulation of PPARγby G9a inhibitor could also increase the expression of genes involved in DNA damage responses and apoptosis.In addition,we also described that the PPARγ/AMPK axis partially explains the regulation of autophagy markers expression.Finally,PPARγ/GADD45αpotentially contributes to enhancing synaptic plasticity and neurogenesis after G9a inhibition.Altogether,we propose that pharmacological inhibition of G9a leads to a neuroprotective effect that could be due,at least in part,by the modulation of PPARγ-dependent pathways by miR-128.

In this paper,we consider λ-translating solitons in R3.These surfaces are critical points of the weighted area when the density is a coordinate function.If λ=0,these surfaces evolve by translations along the mean curvature flow.We give a full classification of λ-translating solitons that satisfy a linear Weingarten relation between their curvatures.These surfaces are planes,circular cylinders,grim reapers and certain types of cylindrical surfaces.We also prove that planes and circular cylinders are the only λ-translating soliton with constant squared norm of the second fundamental form.

The coarse-grained WE54 magnesium alloy was heat treated in order to have minimum hardness minimizing the effects of precipitates and solid solution. Friction stir processing(FSP) was applied in severe conditions to obtain fine, equiaxed and highly misoriented grains, with grain sizes even less than 1 μm. The high severity of processing demonstrated to have a strong impact in the microstructure. Consequently,the processed materials exhibited excellent superplasticity at the high strain rate 10^(-2)s^(-1), and temperatures between 300 and 400 ℃. The maximum tensile superplastic elongation of 756% was achieved at 400 ℃ thanks to the operation of grain boundary sliding mechanism(GBS). Besides the new data obtained through tensile testing, the paper deals with a transcendental question regarding the large differences in strain rate values at a given stress in the superplastic regime at maximum elongation compared to other magnesium-based alloys. With this is mind, 19 magnesium alloys from 22 different investigations were analyzed to give some light to this behavior that never was treated before. It is proposed that this behavior has to be attributed to the accommodation process, necessary for GBS to occur, which is hindered by reinforcing solutes.

We study the correlation functions of the B0D+,B+D0 system,which develops a bound state of approximately 40MeV,using inputs consistent with the Tcc(3875)state.Then,we address the inverse problem starting from these correlation functions to determine the scattering observables related to the system,including the existence of the bound state and its molecular nature.The important output of the approach is the uncertainty with which these observables can be obtained,considering errors in the B0D+,B+D0 correlation functions typical of current values in correlation functions.We find that it is possible to obtain scattering lengths and effective ranges with relatively high precision and the existence of a bound state.Although the pole position is obtained with errors of the order of 50%of the binding energy,the molecular probability of the state is obtained with a very small error of the order of 6%.All these findings serve as motivation to perform such measurements in future runs of high energy hadron collisions.

We tested for the effects of latitude and geographic range size(GRS)on body size,leg length,and sexual size dimorphism(SSD)across 103 species ofﬂeas,taking into account phylogenetic between-species relationships.When the data on body size were combined for males and females,the positive correlation between body size and latitude,but not GRS,was revealed.When the analysis was restricted to one sex only,the effect of latitude appeared to be non-signiﬁcant for females,whereas male body size increased with an increase in latitude.Intraspeciﬁc body size variation was not associated with either the latitude or the latitudinal span of the geographic range,independently of which data subset was analyzed.No evidence of association between size-independent tibia length and latitude was found for either females,males,or both sexes combined.The degree of SSD decreased with a decrease in latitude but was not affected by GRS.We conclude that macroecological patterns might be manifested differently in males and females.This should be kept in mind while searching for these patterns.
