Extrusion 3d printing of carbon nanotube-assembled carbon aerogel nanocomposites with high electrical conductivity

Carbon nanotubes(CNTs)with high aspect ratio and excellent electrical conduction offer huge functional improvements for current carbon ***,there remains a major challenge for achieving the on-demand shaping of carbon aerogels with tailored micro-nano structural textures and geometric ***,a facile extrusion 3d printing strategy has been proposed for fabricating CNT-assembled carbon(CNT/C)aerogel nanocomposites through the extrusion printing of pseudoplastic carbomer-based inks,in which the stable dispersion of CNT nanofibers has been achieved relying on the high viscosity of carbomer *** extrusion printing,the chemical solidification through polymerizing rF sols enables 3d-printed aerogel nanocomposites to display high shape fidelity in macroscopic *** from the micro-nano scale assembly of CNT nanofiber networks and carbon nanoparticle networks in composite phases,3d-printed CNT/C aerogels exhibit enhanced mechanical strength(fracture strength,0.79 MPa)and typical porous structure characteristics,including low density(0.220 g cm^(-3)),high surface area(298.4 m^(2)g^(-1)),and concentrated pore diameter distribution(~32.8nm).More importantly,CNT nanofibers provide an efficient electron transport pathway,imparting 3d-printed CNT/C aerogel composites with a high electrical conductivity of 1.49 S cm^(-1).Our work would offer feasible guidelines for the design and fabrication of shape-dominated functional materials by additive manufacturing.

Biomimetic soft robotic wrist with 3-dOF motion and stiffness tunability based on ring-reinforced pneumatic actuators and a particle jamming joint

The human wrist, a complex articulation of skeletal muscles and two-carpal rows, substantially contributes to improvements in maneuverability by agilely performing three-degree-of-freedom(3-dOF) orienting tasks and regulating stiffness according to variations in interaction forces. However, few soft robotic wrists simultaneously demonstrate dexterous 3-dOF motion and variable stiffness;in addition, they do not fully consider a soft-rigid hybrid structure of integrated muscles and two carpal *** this study, we developed a soft-rigid hybrid structure to design a biomimetic soft robotic wrist(BSrW) that is capable of rotating in the x and y directions, twisting around the z-axis, and possessing stiffness-tunable capacity. To actuate the BSrW, a lightweight soft-ring-reinforced bellows-type pneumatic actuator(SrBPA) with large axial, linear deformation(η_(lcmax)=70.6%,η_(lemax)=54.3%) and small radial expansion(η_(demax)=3.7%) is designed to mimic the motion of skeletal muscles. To represent the function of two-carpal rows, a compact particle-jamming joint(PJJ) that combines particles with a membrane-covered ballsocket mechanism is developed to achieve various 3-dOF motions and high axial load-carrying capacity(>60 N). By varying the jamming pressure, the stiffness of the PJJ can be adjusted. Finally, a centrally positioned PJJ and six independently actuated SrBPAs, which are in an inclined and antagonistic arrangement, are sandwiched between two rigid plates to form a flexible,stable, and compact BSrW. Such a structure enables the BSrW to have a dexterous 3-dOF motion, high load-carrying ability,and stiffness tunability. Experimental analysis verify 3-dOF motion of BSrW, producing force of 29.6 N and 36 N and torque of2.2 Nm in corresponding rotations. Moreover, the range of rotational angle and stiffness-tuning properties of BSrW are studied by applying jamming pressure to the PJJ. Persulfate is considered a convenient and efficient remediation agent for organic contaminated ***,the potential risk of sulfur into the soil remediation by persulfate remains *** this study,glass bottles with different persulfate dosages and groundwater tables were set up to simulate persulfate remediation of organic pollutants(aniline).The results found sulfate to be the main end-product(83.0%–99.5%)of persulfate remediation after10 ***,H_(2)S accounted for 93.4%–99.4%of sulfur reduction end-products,suggesting that H_(2)S was the final fate of sulfur.H_(2)S was released rapidly after one to three days at a maximum concentration of 33.0 ppm,which is sufficient to make a person *** to the fitted curve results,H_(2)S concentration decreased to a safe concentration(0.15 ppm)after 20–85 ***,the maximum concentration of methanethiol reached 0.6 *** results indicated that secondary pollution from persulfate remediation could release harmful gases over a long ***,persulfate should be used more carefully as a remediation agent for soil contamination.

Heat Transfer and Friction Characteristics of Printed Circuit Heat Exchangers with different Channel Structures for S-CO_(2) Power System

Printed circuit heat exchanger(PCHE)has been widely used in supercritical carbon dioxide(S-CO_(2))power systems because of its high heat transfer efficiency and good ***,due to the large variety of PCHE configurations,channel selection in practical applications lacks a ***,this paper discussed the heat transfer and friction characteristics and the synergy of three fields in the channel under the guidance of the field synergy principle for four typical PCHE ***,the comprehensive performance of four channels was ***,the heat transfer and friction factor correlations for S-CO_(2)in four channels were *** findings demonstrate that the synergy of velocity and pressure fields of the straight channel PCHE is better(β≈180°),so its resistance loss is relatively *** zigzag and sinusoidal wavy channels and the airfoil fins can reduce the angle a between the temperature gradient and velocity,thus enhancing the heat *** sinusoidal wavy channel can reduce flow resistance compared to the zigzag channel due to the rounded *** streamlined airfoil structure can guide the flow and reduce backflow,thus reducing resistance *** the range of re studied in this paper,the maximum error of the proposed heat transfer and friction factor correlations of PCHE is 7.0%,which shows good fitting *** research in this paper can provide a reference for the selection and design of PCHE with different channel configurations.

A universal multifunctional dual cation doping strategy towards stabilized ultra-high nickel cobalt-free lithium layered oxide cathode

Ultra-high nickel cobalt-free lithium layered oxides are promising cathode material for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)because of their relatively high capacity and low ***,the high nickel content would induce bulk structure degradation and interfacial environment deterioration,and the absence of Co element reduces the lithium diffusion kinetics,severely limiting the performance liberation of this kind of ***,a multifunctional Ti/Zr dual cation co-doping strategy has been employed to improve the lithium storage performance of LiNi_(0.9)Mn_(0.1)O_(2)(NM91)*** the one hand,the Ti/Zr co-doping weakens the Li^(+)/Ni^(2+)mixing through magnetic interactions due to the inexistence of unpaired electrons for Ti^(4+)and Zr^(4+),increasing the lithium diffusion rate and suppressing the harmful coexistence of H1 and H2 *** the other hand,they enhance the lattice oxygen stability because of the strong Ti-O and Zr-O bonds,inhibiting the undesired H3 phase transition and lattice oxygen loss,improving the bulk structure and cathode-electrolyte interface *** a result,the Ti/Zr co-doped NM91(NMTZ)exhibits a 91.2%capacity retention rate after 100 cycles,while that of NM91 is only82.9%.Also,the NMTZ displays better rate performance than NM91 with output capacities of 115 and93 mA h g^(-1)at a high current density of 5 C,***,the designed NMTZ could enable the full battery to deliver an energy density up to 263 W h kg^(-1),making the ultra-high nickel cobaltfree lithium layered oxide cathode closer to practical applications.

Flavonoids from mulberry leaves inhibit fat production and improve fatty acid distribution in adipose tissue in finishing pigs

This study evaluated the effects of flavonoids from mulberry leaves(FML)on plasma biochemical indices,serum activities of lipid metabolism-related enzymes,fat morphology,fatty acid composition,and lipid metabolism in different adipose tissues of finishing *** used 120 Chinese hybrid barrows of Berkshire and Bama mini-pigs with an average initial body weight of 45.11±4.23 *** pigs were randomly assigned to five treatment groups and fed a control diet based on corn,soybean meal,and wheat bran or a control diet supplemented with 0.02%,0.04%,0.08%,or 0.16%*** experimental group had six replicates(pens),with four pigs per *** a 7-d adaptation period,the feeding trial was conducted for 58 *** and adipose tissue samples were collected from 30 pigs(one pig per pen)at the end of the *** results showed that FML supplementation significantly decreased the feed intake to body gain ratio,the plasma concentrations of total cholesterol and free fatty acids,and the serum activity of 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A reductase(linear or quadratic effects,Pd decreased the plasma triglyceride concentration(quadratic,P=0.07).Increasing FML supplementation increased the average daily gain and serum activities of lipoprotein lipase(linear and quadratic effects,Pd adipose triglyceride lipase(linear,Pdietary FML supplementation decreased the adipocyte area in the dorsal subcutaneous adipose(dSA)tissue of finishing pigs(linear,P=0.05)and increased the adipocyte area in the visceral adipose tissue(quadratic,Preasing FML supplementation decreased the C20:1 content in dSA,abdominal subcutaneous adipose,and visceral adipose tissues of finishing pigs(Pd increased the C18:3n3 and n-3 PUFA contents(Pd metabolism genes were regulated by the PPArγ-LXra-ABCA1 signaling pathway,and their expressions differed in different adipose *** findings suggest that FML improved growth performance,regulated lipid met

Shape and composition evolution of Pt and Pt_(3)M nanocrystals under HCl chemical etching

Controlling the shape and composition of Pt-based nanocrystals is essential to improve electrocatalytic *** this work,we have carefully investigated the evolution process of morphology and composition for Pt and Pt_(3)M(M=Ni,Co)nanocrystals by hydrochloric acid(HCl)*** a result,only Pt_(3)Ni nanocrystals successfully formed unsaturated step-like atoms on the surface and then constructed high-index facets(HIFs),while Pt and Pt_(3)Co preserved a good octahedron *** functional theory(dFT)calculation suggests that Cl-ions can be tightly adsorbed on the surface of Pt_(3)Ni rather than other nanocrystals,which hinders the deposition of newly-reduced atoms and thus regulating the surface ***,the etching of surface transitional metals further accelerates the formation of *** by the active sites on the surface,HCl-Pt-Ni exhibited a~10.8 and~11.3 times higher oxygen reduction reaction(Orr)mass and specific activities than commercial Pt/C catalyst,and possessed a good durability after 10,000 cycles *** work gives a deep insight into the design of high-performance Pt-based Orr catalysts.

Surface roughness classification using light scattering matrix and deep learning

High-quality optical components have been widely used in various applications;thus,extremely high beam quality is ***,surface roughness is a key indicator of the surface *** this study,the angular distribution of light scattering field intensity was obtained for surfaces having different roughness profiles based on the finite difference time domain(FdTd)method,and the results were compared with those obtained using the generalized Harvey-Shack(GHS)*** was shown that the FdTd approach can be used for an accurate simulation of the scattered field of a rough surface,and the superposition of results obtained from many surfaces that have the same roughness level was in good agreement with the result given by the analytic GHS model.A light scattering matrix(LSM)method was proposed based on the FdTd simulation results that could obtain rich surface roughness *** classification effect of LSM was compared with that of the single-incidence scattering distribution(SISd)based on a resNet-50 deep learning *** classification accuracy of the model trained with the LSM dataset was obtained as 95.74%,which was 23.40%higher than that trained using the SISd ***,the effects of different noise types and filtering methods on the classification performance were analyzed,and the LSM was also shown to improve the robustness and generalizability of the trained surface roughness ***,the proposed LSM method has important implications for improving the data acquisition scheme of current light scattering measurement systems,and it also has the potential to be used for detection and characterization of surface defects of optical components.

Method for triangular fuzzy multiple attribute decision making based on two-dimensional density operator method

Aiming at the triangular fuzzy(TF)multi-attribute decision making(MAdM)problem with a preference for the distribution density of attribute(ddA),a decision making method with TF number two-dimensional density(TFTd)operator is proposed based on the density operator theory for the decision maker(dM).Firstly,a simple TF vector clustering method is proposed,which considers the feature of TF number and the geometric distance of ***,the least deviation sum of squares method is used in the program model to obtain the density weight ***,two TFTd operators are defined,and the MAdM method based on the TFTd operator is ***,a numerical example is given to illustrate the superiority of this method,which can not only solve the TF MAdM problem with a preference for the ddA but also help the dM make an overall comparison.
