Glycosylation of the Fc region of IgG has a profound impact on the safety and clinical efficacy of therapeutic antibodies. While the biantennary *** oligosaccharide attached to Asn297 of the Fc is essen- tial for antibody effector functions, fucose and outer-arm sugars attached to the core heptasaccharide that gen- erate structural heterogeneity （glycoforms） exhibit unique biological activities. Hence, efficient and quan- titative glycan analysis techniques have been increas- ingly important for the development and quality control of therapeutic antibodies, and g｜ycan profiles of the Fc are recognized as critical quality attributes. In the past decade our understanding of the influence of glycosy- lation on the structure/function of IgG-Fc has grown rapidly through X-ray crystallographic and nuclear magnetic resonance studies, which provides possibili- ties for the design of novel antibody therapeutics. Fur- thermore, the chemoenzymatic glycoengineering approach using endoglycosidase-based glycosyn- thases may facilitate the development of homogeneous IgG glycoforms with desirable functionality as next- generation therapeutic antibodies. Thus, the Fc glycans are fertile ground for the improvement of the safety,functionality, and efficacy of therapeutic IgG antibodies in the era of precision medicine.

Mutually interacting tachyon dark energy with variable G and Λ

We consider a tachyonic scalar field as a model of dark energy with interac- tion between components in the case of variable G and A. We assume a fiat Universe with a specific form of scale factor and study cosmological parameters numerically and graphically. Statefinder analysis is also performed. For a particular choice of in- teraction parameters we succeed in obtaining an analytical expression of densities. We find that our model will be stable at the late stage but there is an instability in the early Universe, so we propose this model as a realistic model of our Universe.

The linear scaling of CMOS has encountered, since its beginning, many hurdles which request new process modules, driven mainly by the maximization of energy efficiency. Fabrication at the sub 10 nm node level will request Intrinsic Variability approaching to zero. The rapid growth of mobile, multifunctional and autonomous systems is hardly demanding to reach Zero Power consumption. The solutions to integrate Thin Film based devices, architectures and systems in order to face these challenges are described.

Selective suspension of single layer graphene mechanochemically exfoliated from carbon nanofibres

This paper presents the first report of the successful ball-milling exfoliation of graphitic filaments （GANF~ carbon nanofibres） into single layer graphene. The addition of small amounts of solvent during the milling process makes it possible to enhance the intercalation of the exfoliating agent （melamine） between the graphene layers, thus promoting exceptional exfoliation. Advantage has also been taken of the fact that the Hansen solubility parameters of graphene are different from those of carbon fibres, which allows single and few-layer graphene to be suspended in a particular solvent, thus discriminating them from poorly exfoliated carbon nanofibres.

Service-Oriented Wireless Multimedia Multicasting with Partial Frequency Reuse

Service-Oriented Architecture（SOA） is employed in a wide range of applications because it promises to expose computation-intensive tasks as services and combine them with new applications to accelerate their applications development process. For service-oriented multimedia applications, the performance of multicasting transmission services under multimedia traffic must be evaluated. Multiview Video（MVV） is a promising and emerging type of multimedia traffic that consists of multiple video streams, allows stream switching, and requires strict Quality-of-Service（Qo S）. In this study, we investigated multicast transmission of MVV in wireless cellular networks with Partial Frequency Reuse（PFR） and focused on two challenging problems：（1） multicast group formation and（2） subchannel and power allocation. Initially, we propose a novel Content-based Partial frequency reuse Diversity Grouping（CPDG） scheme to allocate users to multicast groups on the basis of Partial frequency reuse Diversity（PD） in wireless networks with PFR. After group formation, an optimization problem for subchannel and power allocation is formulated to minimize network power consumption under Qo S constraint. Thereafter,the optimization problem is divided into two subproblems and solved using simplex method and Karush-KuhnTucker（KKT） condition. Finally, to solve the optimization problem, a suboptimal scheme referred to as Partial frequency reuse Diversity Based Energy-efficient Multicasting（PDEM） is proposed by dynamically allocating wireless resources under Qo S constraint. The simulation results show that the proposed PDEM scheme can achieve close-to-optimal performance. Moreover, mathematical analysis of the effect of PD on network performance can provide guidelines for optimization of multimedia traffic in multicasting-enabled wireless cellular networks with PFR.

Toward integrated detection and graphene-based removal of contaminants in a lab-on-a-chip platform

A novel miniaturized microfluidic platform was developed for the simultaneous detection and removal of polybrominated diphenyl ethers （PBDEs）. The platform consists of a polydimethylsiloxane （PDMS） microfluidic chip for an immunoreaction step, a PDMS chip with an integrated screen-printed electrode （SPCE） for detection, and a PDMS-reduced graphene oxide （rGO） chip for physical adsorption and subsequent removal of PBDE residues. The detection was based on competitive immunoassay-linked binding between PBDE and PBDE modified with horseradish peroxidase （HRP-PBDE） followed by the monitoring of enzymatic oxidation of o-aminophenol （o-AP） using square wave anodic stripping voltammetry （SW-ASV）. PBDE was detected with good sensitivity and a limit of detection similar to that obtained with a commercial colorimetric test （0.018 ppb）, but with the advantage of using lower reagent volumes and a reduced analysis time. The use of microfluidic chips also provides improved linearity and a better reproducibility in comparison to those obtained with batch-based measurements using screen-printed electrodes. In order to design a detection system suitable for toxic compounds such as PBDEs, a reduced graphene oxide-PDMS composite was developed and optimized to obtain increased adsorption （based on both the hydrophobicity and rr-v~ stacking between rGO and PBDE molecules） compared to those of non-modified PDMS. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first demonstration of electrochemical detection of flame retardants and a novel application of the rGO-PDMS composite in a biosensing system. This system can be easily applied to detect any analyte using the appropriate immunoassay and it supports operation in complex matrices such as seawater.

For metal nanofilms composed of nanocrystals,the multiple deformation mechanisms will coexist and bring unique and complex elastic-plastic and fracture mechanical *** successfully fabricating large quantities of uniform doubly-clamped suspended gold(Au)nanobeams with different thicknesses and nanograin sizes,we obtain full-spectrum mechanical features with statistical significance by combining atomic force microscopy(AFM)nanoindentation experiments,nonlinear theoretical model,and numerical *** yield and breaking strengths of the Au nanobeams have a huge increase by nearly an order of magnitude compared with bulk Au and exhibit strong nonlinear effects,and the corresponding strong-yield ratio is up to 4,demonstrating extremely high strength reserve and vibration *** strong-yield ratio gradually decreases with decreasing thickness,identifying a conversion of the failure type from ductile to ***,the Hall–Petch relationship has been identified to be still valid at the nanoscale,and K in the equation reaches 4.8 Gpa·nm1/2,nearly twice of bulk nanocrystalline Au,which is ascribed to the coupling effect of nanocrystals and nanoscale thickness.

The Three-Step Workflow:A Pragmatic Approach to Allocating Academic Hospitals' Affiliations for Bibliometric Purposes
