e.m.福斯特不仅是一位有造诣的小说家和评论家,也是一位公认的哲学家。对死亡的思考构成了e.m.福斯特的哲学基础。本文从福斯特的小说《最漫长的旅程》中的死亡情节入手,探讨小说中死亡情节的深刻哲学内涵,进而揭示福斯特的死亡哲学。在福斯特眼中,死亡是再自然不过的事情,只不过是生活中的一个变数而已;死亡也是实现人的完整的最终途径,人可以通过死亡走向永恒与幸福。

Plant responses to drought are regulated by complex genetic and epigenetic networks leading to rapid reprogramming of plant growth, miRNAs have been widely indicated as key players in the regulation of growth and development. The role of miRNAs in drought response was investigated in young leaves of Brachypodium dis- tachyon, a drought-tolerant monocot model species. Adopting an in vivo drought assay, shown to cause a dramatic reduction in leaf size, mostly due to reduced cell expansion, small RNA libraries were produced from proliferating and expanding leaf cells. Next-generation sequencing data were analyzed using an in-house bioinformatics pipeline allowing the identification of 66 annotated miRNA genes and 122 new high confidence predictions greatly expand- ing the number of known Brachypodium miRNAs. In addition, we identified four TAS3 loci and a large number of siRNA-producing loci that show characteristics suggesting that they may represent young miRNA genes. most miR- NAs showed a high expression level, consistent with their involvement in early leaf development and cell identity. Proliferating and expanding leaf cells respond differently to drought treatment and differential expression analyses suggest novel evidence for an miRNA regulatory network controlling cell division in both normal and stressed condi-tions and demonstrate that drought trigger a genetic reprogramming of leaf growth in which miRNAs are deeply involved.

Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that has a fairly wide range of clinical *** psoriasis,which is the.m.st common manifestation of psoriasis,is located on one end of the spectrum,dominated by adaptive immune responses,whereas the rarer pustular psoriasis lies on the opposite end,dominated by innate and autoinflammatory immune *** recent years,genetic studies have identified six genetic variants that predispose to pustular psoriasis,and these have highlighted the role of IL-36 cytokines as central to pustular psoriasis *** this review,we discuss the presentation and clinical subtypes of pustular psoriasis,contribution of genetic predisposing variants,critical role of the IL-36 family of cytokines in disease pathophysiology,and treatment perspectives for pustular *** further outline the application of appropriate.m.use.m.dels for the study of pustular psoriasis and address the outstanding questions and issues related to our understanding of the.m.chanisms involved in pustular psoriasis.

Terrestrial plants have two to four times more ATP-binding cassette （ABC） transporter genes than other organisms, including their ancestral microalgae. Recent studies found that plants harboring mutations in these transporters exhibit dramatic phenotypes, many of which are related to developmental processes and functions necessary for life on dry land. These results suggest that ABC transporters multiplied during evolution and assumed novel functions that allowed plants to adapt to terrestrial environmental conditions. examining the literature on plant ABC transporters from this viewpoint led us to propose that diverse ABC transporters enabled many unique and essential aspects of a terrestrial plant＇s lifestyle, by transporting various compounds across specific membranes of the plant.

福斯特在作品中批判无根性城市空间对现代城市人群生活的支配,认为基于理性经济效用的空间规划与生产使人们丧失直接扎根地方的体验,从而陷入感情、精神等方面的危机。与之相对的是,人类主体扎根地方的生态共同体式存在则满足了主体超越物质生存意义的情感与精神需求,并以守护万物的有机特质体现了人类主体的本真存在方式。主体归属于生态共同体的地方认同是整体自我认同的关键组成部分,而民族群体栖居生态共同体的集体认知与体验也成为建构整体民族认同的基础与前提。
