Facile synthesis of ultrathin metal-organic framework nanosheets for Lewis acid catalysis

Ultrathin metalorganic framework (MOF) nanosheets are attracting great interest in catalysis due to their unique and intriguing two-dime nsional (2d) features. Although many progresses have been achieved, it is still highly desirable to develop novel strategies for controllable synthesis of the well-defined ultrathin MOF nanosheets. Herein we report a polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP)-assisted route to synthesize the ultrathin Ni-MOF nanosheets characteristic of 1.5 nm in thickness, in which PVP is reacted with 2-aminoterephthalic acid (H2Bdc-NH2) via formation of c=N bon d, followed by coord inatio n with Ni2+ io ns to form the ultrathi n MOF n anosheets. Impressively, when used in the Kno eve nagel condensation reactions of propane dinitrile with different aldehydes, ultrathin Ni-MOF nanosheets display the significantly enhanced catalytic activity and good stability in respect with the bulk Ni-MOF, mainly owing to the exposed active sites as well as facile mass transfer and diffusion of substrates and products.

We report a study of the roles of gadolinium(lll)(gd3+)dopants in influencing the catalytic activity of gadolinium-doped ceria nanoparticles towards the pro-oxidation of hydrogen peroxide to hydroxyl *** doped ceria nanoparticles with dopant concentrations of 0.6 wt.%,3 wt.%,and 6 wt.%gd^3+were synthesized using an ozone-mediated method for tuning their catalytic *** gd dopants were found to foster an increase in the percentage of ce^3+ions in the doped ceria *** reaction kinetic study revealed that the relationship between the overall reaction rates and the gd dopant concentrations in our doped materials followed a volcano-like *** contrast,the apparent activation energy values of these gd-doped ceria nanoparticles were found to be positively associated with the concentrations of gd *** overall catalytic activity trend was attributed to the interplay between the promotion and degradation effects of the gd dopants on the properties of doped ceria nanoparticles.

Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PdAc)has poor prognosis due to limited therapeutic *** study examines the roles of genome-wide association study identified PdAc-associated genes as therapeutic *** have identified HNF4g gene whose silencing most effectively repressed PdAc cell ***4g overexpression is induced by the deficiency of transcriptional factor and tumor suppressor *** HNF4g are correlated with SMAd4 deficiency in PdAc tumor samples and associated with metastasis and poor survival time in xenograft animal model and in patients with PdAc(log-rank P=0.036;HR=1.60,95%cI=1.03–2.47).We have found that Metformin suppresses HNF4g activity via AMPK-mediated phosphorylation-coupled ubiquitination degradation and inhibits in vitro invasion and in vivo metastasis of PdAc cells with SMAd4 ***,Metformin treatment significantly improve clinical outcomes and survival in patients with SMAd4-deficient PdAc(log-rank P=0.022;HR=0.31,95%cI=0.14–0.68)but not in patients with SMAd4-normal *** analysis shows that HNF4g may act in PdAc through the cell-cell junction *** results indicate that SMAd4 deficiency-induced overexpression of HNF4g plays a critical oncogenic role in PdAc progression and metastasis but may form a druggable target for Metformin treatment.
