With an increase in global aging,the number of people affected by cerebrovascular diseases is also increasing,and the incidence of vascular dementia-closely related to cerebrovascular risk-is increasing at an epidemic ***,few therapeutic options exist that can markedly improve the cognitive impairment and prognosis of vascular dementia *** in Alzheimer’s disease and other neurological disorders,synaptic dysfunction is recognized as the main reason for cognitive *** oxide is one of the ubiquitous gaseous cellular messengers involved in multiple physiological and pathological processes of the central nervous ***,nitric oxide has been implicated in regulating synaptic plasticity and plays an important role in the pathogenesis of vascular *** review introduces in detail the emerging role of nitric oxide in physiological and pathological states of vascular dementia and summarizes the diverse effects of nitric oxide on different aspects of synaptic dysfunction,neuroinflammation,oxidative stress,and blood-brain barrier dysfunction that underlie the progress of vascular ***,we propose that targeting the nitric oxide-sGC-cGMP pathway using certain specific approaches may provide a novel therapeutic strategy for vascular dementia.

Infiltration by monocytes of the central nervous system and its role in multiple sclerosis: reflections on therapeutic strategies

Mononuclear macrophage infiltration in the central nervous system is a prominent feature of neuroinflammation. Recent studies on the pathogenesis and progression of multiple sclerosis have highlighted the multiple roles of mononuclear macrophages in the neuroinflammatory process. Monocytes play a significant role in neuroinflammation, and managing neuroinflammation by manipulating peripheral monocytes stands out as an effective strategy for the treatment of multiple sclerosis, leading to improved patient outcomes. This review outlines the steps involved in the entry of myeloid monocytes into the central nervous system that are targets for effective intervention: the activation of bone marrow hematopoiesis, migration of monocytes in the blood, and penetration of the blood–brain barrier by monocytes. Finally, we summarize the different monocyte subpopulations and their effects on the central nervous system based on phenotypic differences. As activated microglia resemble monocyte-derived macrophages, it is important to accurately identify the role of monocyte-derived macrophages in disease. Depending on the roles played by monocyte-derived macrophages at different stages of the disease, several of these processes can be interrupted to limit neuroinflammation and improve patient prognosis. Here, we discuss possible strategies to target monocytes in neurological diseases, focusing on three key aspects of monocyte infiltration into the central nervous system, to provide new ideas for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases.

X-ray detectors which convert X-ray irradiation into electrical signals play an important role in diverse applications including medical diagnosis, security examination, nondestructive inspection, personal X-ray dosimeters and fundamental research[1–5]. Recently, metal halide perovskites（MHP） have been developed as a promising family for X-ray detection contributing to their intrinsic advantages, e.g.,simple synthesis, efficient X-ray absorption and excellent semiconducting properties[5–10].

A Note on the Equivalence of Post-Newtonian Lagrangian and Hamiltonian Formulations

Recently,it has been generally claimed that a low order post-Newtonian(PN)Lagrangian formulation,whose Euler-Lagrange equations are up to an infinite PN order,can be identical to a PN Hamiltonian formulation at the infinite order from a theoretical point of *** general,this result is difficult to check because the detailed expressions of the Euler-Lagrange equations and the equivalent Hamiltonian at the infinite order are clearly ***,there is no difficulty in some *** fact,this claim is shown analytically by means of a special first-order post-Newtonian(1PN)Lagrangian formulation of relativistic circular restricted three-body problem,where both the Euler-Lagrange equations and the equivalent Hamiltonian are not only expanded to all PN orders,but have converged *** is also shown numerically that both the Euler-Lagrange equations of the low order Lagrangian and the Hamiltonian are equivalent only at high enough finite orders.

Pulping of Wheat Straw with Caustic Potash-Ammonia Aqueous Solutions and Its Kinetics

A pulping technology of wheat straw with aqueous ammonia and diluent caustic potash was investigated. Because its strong alkalinity, the addition of caustic potash not only reduced the quantity of NH3 consumed and cooking time, but also enriched the black liquor with nutrients such as potassium and nitrogen, which could be used as fertilizer for agriculture. Various pulping conditions including composition of cooking liquor, liquor-to-solid ratio, maximum cooking temperature, time to reach the maximum temperature and time at the maximum temperature were studied systematically to determine the suitable pulping conditions. Results of the cooking course showed that there were three distinct delignification phases, namely, the bulk delignification phase from the beginning of cook- ing to 100℃, the supplementary delignification phase from 100℃ to 155℃ for 45min and the third delignification phase till the end of cooking. The rate of delignification was found to be first order with respect to residual lignin and 0.34 order with respect to [OH - ]. The activation energy of the delignification reaction was 29.75kJ·mol-1 and the rate equation of delignification was also obtained.

Behavior of leaching and precipitation of weathering crust ion-absorbed type by magnetic field

With weathering crust Ion-Absorbed Type Rare Earth （IATRE） ores in southern jiangxi as an example, rare earth percolation leaching and leaching solution precipitation process research were carried out under conditions of magnetic field. The effect on the rare earth leaching process such as magnetic field strength, magnetization time, magnetization manner, and other factors were discussed. The effect on the mother rare earth liquor sedimentation rate, purity, and crystallization behavior such as magnetic field strength, magnetization time, and magnetization manner were investigated. Leaching and precipitation mechanism of magnetization on IATRE were analyzed. The results showed that the magnetic treatment can improve leaching rate of weathering crust IATRE and the sedimentation rate, and reduce consumption of reagents.

La_2O_2CO_3 supported Ni-Fe catalysts for hydrogen production from steam reforming of ethanol

La2O2CO3 was prepared by calcination of La2 （CO3）3 in the air. Catalysts Ni-Fe/La2O2CO3 with different mole ratios of Ni to Fe, Ni/La2O2CO3 and Fe/La2O2CO3 were prepared by impregnation method. The catalytic properties were evaluated on steam reforming of ethanol （SRE） from 300 to 700 ℃ under atmospheric pressure and the samples were characterized by Brunauer-Emmett-Teller method （BET）, X-ray diffraction （XRD） and temperature programmed reduction （TPR）. The results showed that Ni-Fe bimetallic catalysts exhibited higher activities than single metallic catalysts, which was attributed to the co-existence of well dispersed Ni, Fe and LaFeyNi1-yO3. It was found that the catalyst Ni-Fe/La2O2CO3 containing 10 wt.% Ni and 3 wt.%-5 wt.% Fe showed the best performance, the conversion of ethanol was 100%, the selectivity of H2 was higher than 90%, and the selectivity of CO was lower than 1.5% at 400 ℃.

High-Order Hamilton's Principle and the Hamilton's Principle of High-Order Lagrangian Function

In this paper, based on the theorem of the high-order velocity energy, integration and variation principle, the high-order Hamilton＇s principle of general holonomic systems is given. Then, three-order Lagrangian equations and four-order Lagrangian equations are obtained from the high-order Hamilton＇s principle. Finally, the Hamilton＇s principle of high-order Lagrangian function is given.
