On February 6, 2023, southeastern Türkiye experienced a devastating earthquake doublet along the East Anatolian Fault（EAF）, with moment magnitude（MW） values of 7.8 and 7.5. These strong earthquakes resulted in at least 50,000 deaths and severe economic losses. Systematic research on coseismic surface ruptures induced by these events is vital for assessing the cascade rupture behaviors of plate boundary faults and future seismic hazards in the region. Interpretation of high-resolution post-earthquake satellite images and field investigations yielded the following results:（1） the two strong earthquakes had separate rupture zones. The first earthquake generated an approximately 280 km coseismic surface rupture along the southwestern segment of the main EAF, with 241 left-lateral displacements reaching up to 6.8±0.68 m, particularly 40 km northeast of the epicenter. The second earthquake produced a roughly 110 km surface rupture on an east-west branch of the EAF, with maximum displacements of 7.2±0.72 m.（2） The MW7.8 earthquake resulted in a cascading rupture across multiple segments of the southwestern section of the main EAF, with significantly variable displacements. The northeastern and southwestern parts of the main EAF and Malatya Fault remain at risk of strong earthquakes in the future.（3） The EAF rupture zone is densely populated, and due to the site amplification effect of loose sediments on foreland alluvial fans, foundation failures of buildings in the populated areas are common. Therefore, it is crucial to enhance the future seismic fortification capabilities in urban and rural areas along the EAF.

This paper describes a level-of-detail rendering technique for large-scale irregular volume *** is well known that the memory bandwidth consumed by visibility sorting becomes the limiting factor when carrying out volume rendering of such *** develop a sorting-free volume rendering technique,we previously proposed a particle-based technique that generates opaque and emissive particles using a density function constant within an irregular volume cell and projects the particles onto an image plane with *** the density function changes significantly in an irregular volume cell,the cell boundary may become prominent,which can cause blocky *** the number of the sub-pixels increases,the required frame buffer tends to be *** solve this problem,this work proposes a new particle-based volume rendering which generates particles using metropolis sampling and renders the particles using the ensemble average. To confirm the effectiveness of this method,we applied our proposed technique to several irregular volume datasets,with the result that the ensemble average outperforms the sub-pixel average in computational complexity and memory usage. In addition,the ensemble average technique allowed us to implement a level of detail in the interactive rendering of a 71-million-cell hexahedral volume dataset and a 26-million-cell quadratic tetrahedral volume dataset.

Accumulation and Reformation of Silurian Reservoir in the Northern Tarim Basin

Silurian sandstone in Tarim Basin has good reservoir properties and active oil and gas shows, especially thick widely-distributed bituminous sandstone. Currently, the Silurian was found containing both bitumen and conventional reservoirs, with petroleum originating from terrestrial and marine source rocks. The diversity of their distribution was the result of ＂three sources, three stages＂ accumulation and adjustment processes. ＂Three sources＂ refers to two sets of marine rocks in Cambrian and Middle-Upper Ordovician, and a set of terrestrial rock formed in Triassic in the Kuqa depression. ＂Three stages＂ represents three stages of accumulation, adjustment and reformation occurring in Late Caledonian, Late Hercynian and Late Himalayan, respectively. The study suggests that the Silurian bitumen is remnants of oil generated from Cambrian and Ordovician source rocks and accumulated in the sandstone reservoir during Late Caledonian-Early Hercynian and Late Hercynian stages, and then damaged by the subsequent two stages of tectonic uplift movements in Early Hercynian and Pre-Triassic. The authors presumed that the primary paleo-reservoirs formed during these two stages might he preserved in the Silurian in the southern deep part of the Tabei area. Except for the Yingmaili area where the Triassic terrestrial oil was from the Kuqa Depression during Late Himalayan Stage, all movable oil reservoirs originated from marine sources. They were secondary accumulations from underlying Ordovician after structure reverse during the Yanshan- Himalayan stage. Oil/gas shows mixed-source characteristics, and was mainly from Middle-Upper Ordovician. The complexity and diversity of the Silurian marine primary properties were just defined by these three stages of oil-gas charging and tectonic movements in the Tabei area.

The III–V alloys and doping to tune the bandgap for solar cells and other optoelectronic devices has remained a hot topic of research for the last few *** the present article,the bandgap tuning and its influence on optical properties of In1-xGaxN/P,where(x=0.0,0.25,0.50,0.75,and 1.0)alloys are comprehensively analyzed by density functional theory based on full-potential linearized augmented plane wave method(FP-LAPW)and modified Becke and Johnson potentials(TB-mBJ).The direct bandgaps turn from 0.7 eV to 3.44 eV,and 1.41 eV to 2.32 eV for In1-xGaxN/P alloys,which increases their potentials for optoelectronic *** optical properties are discussed such as dielectric constants,refraction,absorption,optical conductivity,and *** light is polarized in the low energy region with minimum *** absorption and optical conduction are maxima in the visible region,and they are shifted into the ultraviolet region by Ga ***,static dielectric constant e1(0)is in line with the bandgap from Penn’s model.

The wide engineered application of compacted expansive soils necessitates understanding their behavior under field *** results of this study demonstrate how seasonal climatic variation and stress and boundary conditions individually or collectively influence the hydraulic and volume change behavior of compacted highly expansive *** cyclic wetting and drying(CWD)process was applied for two boundary conditions,*** stress(CS)and constant volume(CV),and for a wide range of axial stress *** adopted CWD process affected the hydraulic and volume change behaviors of expansive soils,with the first cycle of wetting and drying being the most *** CWD process under CS conditions resulted in shrinkage accumulation and reduction in saturated hydraulic conductivity(k sat).On the other hand,CWD under CV conditions caused a reduction of swell pressure while has almost no impact on k *** elastic response to CWD was achieved after the third cycle for saturated hydraulic conductivity(k sat),the third to fourth cycle for the volume change potential under the CV conditions,and the fourth to fifth cycle for the volume change potential under the CS ***,both swell pressure(s s)and saturated hydraulic conductivity(k sat)are not fundamental parameters of the expansive soil but rather depend on stress,boundary and wetting conditions.

The present study is a systematic effort to investigate the structure-sensitive magnetic parameters of Ce^(3+) substituted Ba-Sr hexaferrite nanocrystals chemically formulated as Ba_(0.5)Sr_(0.5)Ce_(x)Fe_(12-x)O_(19) where x=0.0-0.2 with Δx=*** hexaferrite powders were prepared using the sol-gel self-ignition route and structurally characterized by means of powder X-ray diffraction and Fourier transform infrared *** creation of the M-type hexaferrite phase within the synthesized samples was revealed from the Rietveld refinement of the X-ray *** occurrence of a secondary phase of CeO_(2) was revealed within the hexaferrites for the substitution,x> *** refined X-ray diffraction data were utilized to compute the lattice parameters,X-ray density,and lattice parameter *** crystal structure plotted from the refined XRD data reveals the occupancy of the ions at different lattice *** XPS data of the hexaferrite were analyzed to confirm the oxidation states of the constituent *** nanocrystalline nature of the hexaferrites was revealed from the crystallite sizes calculated using Scherer's *** analysis of FTIR spectra confirms that only a fraction of Ce^(3+)accommodated in the lattice and the remaining Ce content reside in the form of the CeO_(2) *** morphology of the hexaferrites was analyzed from the FESEM profiles of the ferrite *** magnetic behavior study was performed by analyzing the Curie temperature,hysteresis loops,and hyperfine interactions by means of susceptibility,V.S.M,and Mossbauer spectroscopy,*** hexaferrites with increasing coercivity,decreasing saturation magnetization,and decreasing Curie temperature are reported in the *** substituted Ce^(3+)ions inhibit the grain growth and create lattice imperfections giving rise to hexaferrites with tuned magnetic parameters suitable for different applications.

Response of growth,metabolism and yield of Dendrocalamopsis oldhami to long-day photoperiod and fertilizer compensation

The effects of long-day photoperiod on growth,photo synthetic fluorescence,carbon and nitrogen metabolism,and yield of Dendrocalamopsis oldhami and the compensation effects of fertilization were investigated.A completely randomized design was used with two light factors(bamboo culms cultivated in solar greenhouse under long-day[Ls]and short-day[Ln]treatments);two organic nitrogen fertilizer levels(application of organic fertilizer[OF]and no organic fertilizer[NF]);and three nitrogen fertilizer levels(Low[N0],medium[N1]and high nitrogen[N2]).Leaf chlorophyll and fluorescence parameters(φPo,PIABS,and ETo/CSm)decreased and DIo/CSmincreased in Ls compared to *** acetic acid(IAA)and gibberellic acid(GA3)levels decreased,whereas abscisic acid(ABA)*** area decreased and leaf dry mass *** contents of carbon and nitrogen metabolism-related enzymes(nitrate reductase,glutamine synthetase,amylase,and sucrose synthase)and products(total nitrogen,organic carbon,soluble sugar,and starch)*** bamboo shoot weight and diameter at breast height decreased,whereas shoot quantity and total yield *** application significantly affected physiological growth and yield in the two light treatments,thus promoting carbon and nitrogen ***φPo,PIABS,IAA,and GA3contents increased slightly,whereas ABA levels *** quantity,individual weight,and total yield *** A,soluble sugar,and total yield to organic manure and light were lower than those of nitrogen levels(FN>FL,FO).Other indicators showed lower responses to different fertilization treatments than the light factor(FL>FN,FO).The ability of *** to alter its morphological and physiobiochemical traits and yield in response to variations in light applications may translate into high phenotypic *** significantly improved photoplasticity of *** Ls,*** had high metabolic *** easily inhibited by light,and showed accelerate

Extensive production and use of organophosphate pesticide in agriculture,has risen concerned about its ecotoxicity and risk assessment of insecticides,which are more ***,the present investigation was aimed to study the induction of oxidative stress and DNA damage by organophosphate insecticide profenofos(PFF)in freshwater snail Lymnea luteola(***).The median lethal value(96 h LC50)of PFF was estimated as 1.26 mg/L for *** in a semi-static system and on the basis of LC50 value three concentrations viz.,0.126(1/10 of LC50,Sublethal I),0.63(1/2 of LC50,Sublethal II)and 0.84 mg/L(2/3 of LC50,Sublethal III)were *** were exposed to above-mentioned concentrations of PFF along with solvent control(acetone)and negative control for 96 *** haemolymph was collected at 24 and 96 h of after *** heamolymph of PFF exposed snail,lipid peroxide,glutathione reduced glutathione S transferase and superoxide dismutase activities at the tested concentrations significantly differ from those in the *** genotoxicity induced in hemocytes of treated snails was measured by alkaline single cell gel electrophoresis *** data of this experiment demonstrated significantly enhancement of oxidative stress and DNA damage in the treated snails as compared to ***,we observed statistically significant correlations of ROS with DNA damage(%tail DNA)(R^(2)=0.9708)for 24 h and DNA damage(R^(2)=0.9665)for 96 *** of the current experiment can be useful in risk evaluation of PFF among aquatic *** study confirmed the use of comet assay for in vivo laboratory experiments using freshwater snail for selecting the toxic potential of industrial chemicals and environmental contaminants.
