Study on the prediction and inverse prediction of detonation properties based on deep learning

The accurate and efficient prediction of explosive detonation properties has important engineering significance for weapon design.Traditional methods for predicting detonation performance include empirical formulas,equations of state,and quantum chemical calculation methods.In recent years,with the development of computer performance and deep learning methods,researchers have begun to apply deep learning methods to the prediction of explosive detonation performance.The deep learning method has the advantage of simple and rapid prediction of explosive detonation properties.However,some problems remain in the study of detonation properties based on deep learning.For example,there are few studies on the prediction of mixed explosives,on the prediction of the parameters of the equation of state of explosives,and on the application of explosive properties to predict the formulation of explosives.Based on an artificial neural network model and a one-dimensional convolutional neural network model,three improved deep learning models were established in this work with the aim of solving these problems.The training data for these models,called the detonation parameters prediction model,JWL equation of state(EOS)prediction model,and inverse prediction model,was obtained through the KHT thermochemical code.After training,the model was tested for overfitting using the validation-set test.Through the model-accuracy test,the prediction accuracy of the model for real explosive formulations was tested by comparing the predicted value with the reference value.The results show that the model errors were within 10%and 3%for the prediction of detonation pressure and detonation velocity,respectively.The accuracy refers to the prediction of tested explosive formulations which consist of TNT,RDX and HMX.For the prediction of the equation of state for explosives,the correlation coefficient between the prediction and the reference curves was above 0.99.For the prediction of the inverse prediction model,the prediction error of the explosiv

Panniculitis,an Uncommon Skin Manifestation in Adult Dermatomyositis

Objective:The skin manifestations of dermatomyositis(DM)are complex and diverse,with some rashes having diagnostic significance,while others have a certain suggestive effect on the patient’s condition,visceral damage,and prognosis.This case-cohort study was performed to investigate the skin manifestations of 205 adult inpatients with DM.We then analyzed the association between the clinical characteristics and panniculitis in adult patients with DM.Methods:This study was conducted at the First Medical Center of PLA General Hospital,Beijing,China from March 1,2016 to December 30,2020 with follow-up until December 31,2021.This case-cohort study involved 205 eligible participants with DM who met the criteria for idiopathic inflammatory myopathy.Clinical data,cutaneous manifestations,and lesion locations were screened and analyzed.Serum samples were collected,and immunoblotting was used to detect 16 types of myositis-specific antibodies and myositis-associated antibodies.Results:The results showed that 16(7.8%)of the 205 adult patients with DM had panniculitis.The panniculitis was mainly distributed in the subcutaneous fat of the abdomen,buttocks,and thighs.This condition was often accompanied by skin ulcers,atrophic scars,and calcinosis.Moreover,9(72.7%)of the 16 patients with panniculitis were positive for antibodies to nuclear matrix protein 2(anti-NXP2 antibodies).Conclusion:The data showed that panniculitis is an uncommon skin manifestation in adult patients with DM,with a positivity rate of 7.8%.The appearance of panniculitis is likely associated with anti-NXP2 antibodies.

Efficacy and safety of external application of Chinese herbal medicine trials

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of external application of Chinese herbal medicine(exCHM)for psoriasis vulgaris(PV).METHODS:Different search portals,including the China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database,China Science and Technology Journal Database,Wanfang,Sino Med,clinicaltrials,Pub Med,Cochrane library,and Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials,were searched for randomized controlled trials(RCTs)that compared the ex-CHM intervention with other treatment protocols for PV,with available data as of November 25,2020.The Review Manager 5.3 software was used for analysis.RESULTS:Nineteen RCTs involving 1988 participants were included,of which twelve RCTs qualified for the Meta-analysis.The results showed that the addition of CHM bath to narrow-band ultraviolet B(NB-UVB)had a higher response rate[RR=1.29;95%CI(1.19,1.40);Plity of life better than phototherapy.CHM fumigation could improve the efficacy of calcipotriol ointment and reduce the adverse reactions.CHM fumigation combined with external washing plus acitretin showed better results than using acitretin alone.No statistical difference was observed between CHM external washing and calcipotriol ointment or CHM ointment and retinoic acids.CONCLUSIONS:Current evidence showed that CHM bath and fumigation appeared to be efficient and safe for PV treatment.However,no definite conclusion could be drawn due to the low quality of included studies and thus more well-designed studies are needed for further assessment.

Study on influence of key blasthole parameters on tunnel overbreak

To determine the influence of key blasthole parameters on tunnel overbreak during blasting construction,an intelligent detection sys-tem for tunnel blasting construction is independently developed.And the key blasthole parameters and overbreak of a typical section of a single line tunnel under the condition of Class V surrounding rock are analyzed and detected.The actual data obtained is compared with the results of numerical simulations and theoretical calculations.The results are as follows:(1)Quantitative analysis is performed based on the blasthole angle,opening position,and charge mass by the self-developed intelligent detection equipment for blasthole parameters,which can be used to guide the drilling construction.Intelligent scanning equipment for outline excavation can be used to image the actual excavation section in real-time and has the advantages of high precision and fast speed;(2)Tunnel overbreak can be regarded as consisting of two parts:the surrounding rock damage caused by the blasting load,and the collapse of the surrounding rock caused by the blasthole opening position.Every parameter of the peripheral hole will affect the tunnel overbreak;however,the key parameter is the blasthole opening position;(3)The distributions of the tunnel overbreak volume obtained with the theoretical analysis,finite element simulation,and measurements are basically consistent.Under the condition of Class V surrounding rock,the overbreak of this single line tunnel can reach 14.1–78.2 cm.To meet the specification requirements,the opening position and construction accuracy of the peripheral hole should be strictly controlled.

Fatigue damage analysis of ballastless slab track in heavy-haul railway tunnels

A ballastless slab track,which is commonly used in the track structures of heavy-haul railway tunnels,was analysed based on field measurement data of the Fuyingzi Tunnel on the Zhangtang Railway.In accordance with the measured data,the dynamic load thresholds and distributions on the surface and bottom of the ballastless slab track were investigated.A fatigue damage analysis of the ballastless slab track was performed based on the dynamic load time–history curve.The results show that the ballastless slab track can accomplish train load attenuation and reduce the dynamic load from heavy-haul trains by 47.22%from the surface to the bottom.In addition,the distribution at the bottom of the ballastless slab track exhibited a triangular shape,and the dynamic load threshold at the line centre accounted for 78.67%of that at the track position.Meanwhile,the distribution at the surface was saddle-shaped;the dynamic load threshold at the track position accounted for 79.55%of that at the line centre position.The fatigue damage of the ballastless slab track was analysed effectively by combining the measured data and the linear fatigue damage theory.Moreover,the accuracy of the calculation results was verified based on the measured dynamic stress of the ballastless slab track structure.The dynamic action of the train load led to more-concentrated damage to the track bed,and the damage occurred earlier than that in the ordinary line.The axle load was the primary influencing factor of the track bed fatigue damage,and the damage mainly occurred in the track position.These results provide a theoretical basis for performing stress analysis and designing parameters for ballastless slab tracks in heavy-haul railway tunnels.

Over-expression of programmed death-ligand 1 and programmed death-1 on antigen-presenting cells as a predictor of organ dysfunction and mortality during early sepsis: a prospective cohort study

BACKGROUND:This study aimed to explore the changes of programmed death-ligand 1(PDL1)and programmed death-1(PD-1)expression on antigen-presenting cells(APCs)and evaluate their association with organ failure and mortality during early sepsis.METHODS:In total,40 healthy controls and 198 patients with sepsis were included in this study.Peripheral blood was collected within the first 24 h after the diagnosis of sepsis.The expression of PDL1 and PD-1 was determined on APCs,such as B cells,monocytes,and dendritic cells(DCs),by flow cytometry.Cytokines in plasma,such as interferon-γ(IFN-γ),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-4(IL-4),IL-6,IL-10,and IL-17A were determined by Luminex assay.RESULTS:PD-1 expression decreased significantly on B cells,monocytes,myeloid DCs(mDCs),and plasmacytoid DCs(pDCs)as the severity of sepsis increased.PD-1 expression was also markedly decreased in non-survivors compared with survivors.In contrast,PD-L1 expression was markedly higher on mDCs,pDCs,and monocytes in patients with sepsis than in healthy controls and in non-survivors than in survivors.The PD-L1 expression on APCs(monocytes and DCs)was weakly related to organ dysfunction and infl ammation.The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUC)of the PD-1 percentage of monocytes(monocyte PD-1%)+APACHE II model(0.823)and monocyte PD-1%+SOFA model(0.816)had higher prognostic value than other parameters alone.Monocyte PD-1%was an independent risk factor for 28-day mortality.CONCLUSION:The severity of sepsis was correlated with PD-L1 or PD-1 over-expression on APCs.PD-L1 in monocytes and DCs was weakly correlated with infl ammation and organ dysfunction during early sepsis.The combination of SOFA or APACHE II scores with monocyte PD-1%could improve the prediction ability for mortality.

Brief inhalation of sevoflurane can reduce glial scar formation after hypoxic-ischemic brain injury in neonatal rats

Previous studies have demonstrated that sevoflurane postconditioning can provide neuroprotection after hypoxic-ischemic injury and improve learning and memory function in developing rodent brains.The classical Rice-Vannucci model was used to induce hypoxic-ischemic injury,and newborn(postnatal day 7)rats were treated with 2.4%sevoflurane for 30 minutes after hypoxic-ischemic injury.Our results showed that sevoflurane postconditioning significantly improved the learning and memory function of rats,decreased astrogliosis and glial scar formation,increased numbers of dendritic spines,and protected the histomorphology of the hippocampus.Mechanistically,sevoflurane postconditioning decreased expression of von Hippel-lindau of hypoxia-inducible factor-1α and increased expression of DJ-1.Injection of 1.52μg of the hypoxia-inducible factor-1αinhibitor YC-1(lificiguat)into the left lateral ventricle 30 minutes before hypoxic-ischemic injury reversed the neuroprotection induced by sevoflurane.This finding suggests that sevoflurane can effectively alleviate astrogliosis in the hippocampus and reduce learning and memory impairments caused by glial scar formation after hypoxic-ischemic injury.The underlying mechanism may be related to upregulated DJ-1 expression,reduced ubiquitination of hypoxia-inducible factor-1α,and stabilized hypoxiainducible factor-1αexpression.This study was approved by the Laboratory Animal Care Committee of China Medical University,China(approval No.2016PS337K)on November 9,2016.

Na_(2)TiSiO_(5)(NTSO)is a low-cost li-ion battery anode with great application potential,such as the tetragonal NTSO(T-NTSO)with a high capacity and a low voltage.In addition to the tetragonal structure,NTSO has two other polymorphs.However,the basic understanding of the structure,ion insertion and transport mechanisms of these new materials is still lacking.Herein,we present a combined experimental and computational investigation of the tetragonal and orthorhombic NTSO to reveal the intrinsic mechanism leading to the superior electrochemical performance of T-NTSO.We determined that the insertion site with a flexible Ti^(4+)/Ti^(3+)redox pair is critical for li+insertion stability.The large number of such flexible sites in the T-NTSO results in a higher capacity and higher ionic conductivity than those of orthorhombic polymorph.The understanding of intrinsic properties will accelerate the development and utilization of titanosilicates as the next generation low-voltage anode of li-ion battery.

Update Knowledge Assessment and Influencing Predictor of Female Fertility Preservation in Oncologists

Objective:This study aims to offer an update assessment of the knowledge of Chinese oncologists on female fertility preservation,and identify the determinants that influence the implementation of fertility preservation.Methods:A total of 713 Chinese oncologists with different specialties completed the online self-report questionnaire to assess their understanding of fertility risks in cancer treatment,knowledge on female fertility preservation,and perceptions on the barriers in referring patients for fertility preservation.Results:Although most oncologists were familiar with fertility risk in cancer treatment,half of them lacked the knowledge for reproduction and preservation methods.In the multivariable model,oncologists in a hospital with a specialized reproductive institution,positive precaution for fertility risk,and fertility preservation discussion with patients were significantly correlated with the possibility of fertility preservation referral.Conclusions:The intervention targets based on the update evaluation and identified influencing determinants will be helpful for all the oncofertility researchers,oncologists and institutions in future efforts for well-established female fertility preservation services.

Helium ions irradiation-induced surface damage in Fe-based melt-spun ribbons

The Fe78Si8B14 and Fe78P8B14 ribbons with different wheel speeds were prepared by melt-spinning, and their responses to He＋ ion irradiation were investigated. Previous studies had shown that the ion beam resistance capability of amorphous ribbons was better than their corresponding crystalline counterparts. However, no significant changes on the surface at low fluence are observed. At a relatively higher fluence, both the ribbons prepared at low and high wheel speeds behave the similar irradiation responses： peeling, flaking and multi-layer damages occur. The fully amorphous ribbons prepared at a high wheel speed can accommodate partial incident ions owing to the inherent disordered structure. As the irradiation fluence increases, they fail to accommodate the excess incident ions, which easily aggregate to result in the surface damage. While the partial amorphous ribbons prepared at a low wheel speed possess lots of unstable crystalline grain boundaries owing to the precipitation of Si-or P-rich phase, which may act as the source for the irradiation-induced defects annihilation. Results show that the size and the fraction of precipitate phases in amorphous matrix may play a dominated role in resisting the ion irradiation.
