To understand the mechanical and twinning behaviors of a fine-grained extruded Mg-8.0Al-0.1Mn-2.0Ca alloy under high-speed impact,impact tests were carried out using a split Hopkinson pressure bar,and microstructures at strains of 0.05,0.10 and 0.20 were obtained using a series of stop rings manufactured by high-strength *** stress response and twinning behavior are closely related to loading direction and applied strain *** true stress-true strain curves are s-shaped in extrusion direction(ED)and c-shaped in transverse direction(TD),showing apparent anisotropy,while the yield strength is insensitive to loading *** identical strain-rate sensitivity is demonstrated by the stress in ED and ***,de-twinning is apparent as the applied strain increases to 0.20,and it is enhanced with increasing the applied strain *** contrast,the twin density in ED samples is clearly higher than that in TD *** modifying the terms of strain hardening and strain rate hardening in the classical JC model,an optimized model is built,which can accurately predict the stress response behavior of the studied alloy under high-speed impact along ED and *** correlation coefficient(R)and average absolute relative error(AARE)are 98.63%and 0.0199 for ED,and 96.88%and 0.0202 for TD,respectively.

Male diabetic individuals present a marked impairment in fertility;however,knowledge regarding the pathogenic mechanisms and therapeutic strategies is *** new hypoglycemic drug dapagliflozin has shown certain benefits,such as decreasing the risk of cardiovascular and renal events in patients with *** so,until now,the effects and underlying mechanisms of dapagliflozin on diabetic male infertility have awaited ***,we found that dapagliflozin lowered blood glucose levels,alleviated seminiferous tubule destruction,and increased sperm concentrations and motility in leptin receptor-deficient diabetic db/db ***,the glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor(GLP-1R)antagonist exendin(9-39)had no effect on glucose levels but reversed the protective effects of dapagliflozin on testicular structure and sperm quality in db/db *** also found that dapagliflozin inhibited the testicular apoptotic process by upregulating the expression of the antiapoptotic protein B-cell lymphoma 2(BCL2)and X-linked inhibitor of apoptosis protein(XIAP)and inhibiting oxidative stress by enhancing the antioxidant status,including total antioxidant capacity,total superoxide dismutase(SOD)activity,and glutathione peroxidase(GPx)activity,as well as decreasing the level of 4-hydroxynonenal(4-HNE).Exendin(9-39)administration partially reversed these ***,dapagliflozin upregulated the glucagon-like peptide-1(GLP-1)level in plasma and GLP-1R expression by promoting AKT8 virus oncogene cellular homolog(Akt)phosphorylation in testicular ***(9-39)partially inhibited Akt *** results suggest that dapagliflozin protects against diabetes-induced spermatogenic dysfunction via activation of the GLP-1R/phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase(PI3K)/Akt signaling *** results indicate the potential effects of dapagliflozin against diabetes-induced spermatogenic dysfunction.

The effect of La on inclusions and fracture toughness of 40CrNi2Si2MoVA steel was investigated via the optical microscope,scanning electron microscope,image software and electronic universal testing *** results reveal that the inclusions in steel without La are mainly MnS and Al_(2)O_(3)–MnS,while the inclusions in steels with La primarily contain La–O–S,La–S and other rare earth complex inclusions contain P and ***–O–S and La–S are formed under the steelmaking temperature and act as the nucleation core of rare earth complex inclusions containing P and *** to the segregation model,La–O–S–P–As and La–S–P–As are formed through chemical reactions during the solidification *** La content in steels increases from 0 to 0.032 mass%,the average spacing of inclusions is gradually increased from 5.28 to 15.91μ*** volume fraction of inclusions in steels containing less than 0.018 mass%La approaches 0.006%;however,it is significantly improved to 0.058%when La content is increased to 0.032 mass%.With the increase in La content,the fracture toughness is firstly improved from 63.1 to 80.0 MPa m^(1/2)due to the increase in average spacing of inclusions and then decreases to 69.6 MPa m^(1/2)owing to the excessive increase in volume fraction of *** optimal fracture toughness is found in 40CrNi2Si2MoVA steel with 0.018 mass%La.

Interface wettability is a vital role in directly impacting the electrical contact characteristics of oxides/Cubased composites under arc *** its influence mechanism,especially at atomic/electronic scales,is significant but challenging for the rational design of oxides/Cu ***,we designed Zn_(2)SnO_(4)/Cu electrical contacts aiming to solve the poor wettability of SnO_(2)/Cu *** was found that Zn_(2)SnO_(4)could remarkably improve the arc resistance of Cu-based electrical contacts,which was benefited by the excellent interface wettability of Zn_(2)SnO_(4)/*** characterization of eroded surface indicated that Zn_(2)SnO_(4)particles distributed uniformly on the contact surface,leading to stable electrical contact ***,SnO_(2)considerably deteriorated the arc resistance of SnO_(2)/Cu composite by agglomerating on the *** effect mechanism of wettability on arc resistance was investigated through density function theory(DFT)*** revealed that strong polar covalent bonds across the Zn_(2)SnO_(4)/Cu interface contributed to improving the interfacial adhesion strength/wettability and thus significantly enhanced the arc *** binary SnO_(2)/Cu interface,ionic bonds resulted in weak interface adhesion,giving rise to deterioration of electrical contact *** work discloses the bonding mechanism of oxide/Cu interfaces and paves an avenue for the rational design of ternary oxide/Cu-based electrical contact materials.

Traditional cancer treatments have disadvantages of large trauma area and toxic side effects while killing cancer ***-targeted sonodynamic therapy(SDT)can effectively improve specificity of cancer treatment and overcome the problem of low tissue penetration depth caused by a photo-driven ***,we developed a porphyrin-based sonosensitizer with a water-soluble polymer as a biological carrier and a cRGD peptide for tumor targeting,which constituted a nano sonosensitizer(T-cRGD NPs)for fluorescence imaging-guided sonodynamic therapy.A comparable sonosensitizer(T-PEG NPs)without the targeting unit was also prepared for illustration of therapeutic *** to the role of peptide targeting,T-cRGD NPs can accumulate and enter tumor cells for fluorescence imaging and show a superior SDT effect than T-PEG NPs in *** imaging in vivo reveals that T-cRGD NPs can enrich in tumor tissues within 14 h with a good biocompatibility.

Monodispersed MoS_2 nanospheres were successfully synthesized by using SiO_2 as hard template. The size and morphology of the MoS_2 nanospheres could be finely controlled by the content of SiO_2 and sulfur precursors. Furthermore, higher surface area of monodispersed MoS_2 nanospheres exhibited high reaction rate for hydrodesulfurization(HDS) of dibenzenethiophene(DBT).

Erosion and transport mechanisms of mine waste along gullies

Mine waste debris flows continue to occur in China, and the disaster prevention and mitigation of these flows faces severe challenges since the mechanisms determining erosion and transport of mine waste along gullies are not yet fully understood. The erosion and delivery process of mine waste heaps was reproduced through flume experiments with the method based on field survey data of the Daxicha mine waste debris flow gully in the Xiaoqinling gold mining area. The results showed that the erosion and movement of mine wastes could be divided into three modes: minimal sediment movement, sediment sorting and delivery, and a large amount of sediment transfer. Moreover, there was an obvious amplification effect on peak discharge along with the formation and failure of temporary landslide dams during the erosion process. The correlation between the coefficient of peak discharge amplification and three dimensionless influencing factors, flume gradient, dimensionless volume, and dimensionless particle size, were comprehensively analyzed. An empirical formula for the coefficient of peak discharge amplification was proposed and verified based on 16 sets of experimental data. These preliminary results can provide a scientific reference for future research on disaster prevention and mitigation of mine waste debris flows.
