Aliskiren ameliorates sympathetic nerve sprouting and suppresses the inducibility of ventricular tachyarrhythmia in postinfarcted rat heart

Background Aliskiren is an oral renin inhibitor, which inhibits the first rate limiting step in the renin angiotensin aldosterone system. In this study, sympathetic nerve sprouting and the inducibility of ventricular fibrillation after aliskiren treatment in myocardial infarction were investigated. Methods Male Sprague Dawley rats after coronary artery ligation were randomly allocated to four groups： angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor enalapril, angiotensin receptor blocker valsartan, 13 adrenergic receptor blocker carvedilol and rennin inhibitor aliskiren treatment for six weeks. Electrophysiological study, histological examination and Western blotting were performed. Results The plasma norepinephrine level and sympathetic nerve innervation significantly increased in treated infarcted rats compared to untreated rats. Aliskiren treatment reduced the sympathetic nerve innervations after myocardial infarction. There is no significant difference in sympathetic nerve innervations after myocardial infarction among the enalapril, valsartan, carvediloand or aliskiren treated groups. Programmed electrical stimulation study showed that inducible ventricular arrhythmia was reduced, ventricular fibrillation threshold was increased and ventricular effective refractory period was prolonged in enalapril, valsartan, carvedilol and aliskiren treated infarcted rats compared to untreated infarcted rats. Cardiomyocytic apoptosis in infarcted region was significantly decreased in enalapril, valsartan, carvedilol and aliskiren treated infarcted rats. Conclusions Aliskiren ameliorated cardiomyocytic apoptosis, attenuated the sympathetic nerve innervations and reduced the vulnerability of ventricular arrhythmias after myocardial infarction. Enalapril, valsartan and carvedilol have similar effects as aliskiren on cardiomyocytic apoptosis, sympathetic nerve innervations and vulnerability of ventricular arrhythmias after myocardial infarction.

Background Over-expression of P-glycoprotein （P-gp）, encoded by the MDR1 gene, confers multidrug resistance （MDR） in renal cell carcinoma （RCC） and is a major reason for unsuccessful chemotherapy. This study aimed to determine the effct of RNA interference （RNAi） on the reversal of MDR in human RCC. Methods We designed and selected one short hairpin RNA （shRNA） targeting MDR1 gene, which is stably expressed from integrated plasmid and transfected by lentivirus fluid in human RCC A498 cell. Results The MDRl-targeted RNAi resulted in decreased MDR1 gene mRNA level （P 〈0.001）, almost abolished P-gp expression and reversed MDR to different chemotherapy drugs in the RCC A498 cell line. Conclusion MDR could be reversed by RNAi in human RCC A498 cell line, which may be used for clinical application

The nutrient cycling model NuCM is one of the most detailed models for simulating processes that influence nutrient cycling in forest ecosystems. A field study was conducted at Tieshanping, a Masson pine (Pinus massoniana Lamb.) forest site, in Chongqing, China, to monitor the impacts of acidic precipitation on nutrient cycling. NuCM simulations were compared with observed data from the study site. The model produced an approximate fit with the observed data. It simulated the mean annual soil solution concentrations in the two simulation years, whereas it sometimes failed to reproduce seasonal variation. Even though some of the parameters required by model running were measured in the field, some others were still highly uncertain and the uncertainties were analyzed. Some of the uncertain parameters necessary for model running should be measured and calibrated to produce a better fit between modeled results and field data.

Synergic catalytic effect between active sites and supports greatly determines the catalytic activity for the aerobic oxidative desulfurization of fuel *** this work,Ni-doped Co-based bimetallic metal-organic framework(CoNi-MOF)is fabricated to disperse N-hydroxyphthalimide(NHPI),in which the whole catalyst provides plentiful synergic catalytic effect to improve the performance of oxidative desulfurization(ODS).As a bimetallic MOF,the second metal Ni doping results in the flower-like morphology and the modification of electronic properties,which ensure the exposure of NHPI and strengthen the synergistic effect of the overall *** with the monometallic Co-MOF and naked NHPI,the NHPI@CoNi-MOF triggers the efficient activation of molecular oxygen and improves the ODS performance without an *** sulfur removal of dibenzothiophene-based model oil reaches 96.4%over the NHPI@CoNi-MOF catalyst in 8 h of ***,the catalytic product of this aerobic ODS reaction is sulfone,which is adsorbed on the catalyst surface due to the difference in *** work provides new insight and strategy for the design of a strong synergic catalytic effect between NHPI and bimetallic supports toward high-activity aerobic ODS materials.

To explore the kinetic adsorption under continuous and nonequilibrium states, an integration of continuous measurement and adsorption platform kinetics method was proposed, which was initially called the ICM-AP kinetics method, and a corresponding kinetic adsorption experimental method was developed. Adsorption experiments of europium(Eu) on Ca-bentonite,Na-bentonite, and the D231 cation exchange resin were performed using the ICM-AP kinetics method and continuous measurements. Because the kinetic experimental results observed in this study were different from those of traditional batch adsorption data, pseudo-first-order or pseudo-second-order kinetic models were unsuitable for fitting the experimental ***, a liquid membrane diffusion(LMD) model was developed based on the assumption of simultaneous adsorption/desorption to discuss the mechanism of kinetic adsorption. The kinetic adsorption mechanism was also studied by using *** results indicated that the proposed adsorption model can fit the experimental data more suitably, and the adsorption/desorption behaviors of Eu on bentonite and the D231 resin were simultaneously observed, suggesting that the adsorption kinetics of Eu(Ⅲ) was mainly dominated by hydrated Eu(Ⅲ) ions on the liquid membrane.

该研究中,对发掘于河南漯河古城遗址宋金土层的瓷器样品进行了综合表征。青白瓷显微结构分析表现为典型的南方石英、绢云母质瓷;能量色散型X荧光光谱(EDXRF)分析表现出"高硅低铝"特性,胎体制作过程中采用了单一瓷石为原料的"一元配方工艺";结合胎釉外观特征及白度值,可判定其属于典型的南方青白瓷。鉴于瓷胎的成分具有一定的地域特征,借助主成分分析方法(PCA)将该批瓷器样品与南方同时代周边青白瓷瓷胎的主量化学元素进行比较,结果显示其与景德镇湖田窑和安徽繁昌窑样品的数据点分布具有很高的重合度,而与其他窑口样品明显偏离,表明这三个窑口的样品在化学组成上有高度的相似性。进一步将这3个窗口的胎釉常量化学元素进行散点图分析比较,发现该批样品与江西湖田窑青白瓷在化学元素组成上具有更高的共性。综合各种分析,推测该批青白瓷样品应产自宋代景德镇湖田窑,为景德镇供奉开封中上层统治者使用的瓷器,后期通过贸易流通到中原地区。结合古代文献资料,推测出其可能的流通路线。该研究对探明我国古代青白瓷的制瓷工艺、瓷器贸易流通状况及挖掘漯河古城遗址的历史文化价值具有重要意义。
