Manufacturing thin-film components is crucial for achieving high-efficiency and high-power thermal batteries(TBs).However,developing binders with low-gas production at the operating temperature range of TBs(400-550°C)has proven to be a significant ***,we report the use of acrylic acid derivative terpolymer(LA136D)as a low-volatile binder for thin-film cathode fabrication and studied the chain scission and chemical bondbreaking mechanisms in *** is shown LA136D defers to randomchain scission and cross-linking chain scission mechanisms,which gifts it with a low proportion of volatile products(ψ,ψ=39.2 wt%)at even up to 550°C,well below those of the conventional PVDF(77.6 wt%)and SBR(99.2 wt%)***,LA136D contributes to constructing a thermal shock-resistant cathode due to the step-by-step bond-breaking *** is beneficial for the overall performance of *** discharging test,the thin-film cathodes exhibited a remarkable 440%reduction in polarization and 300%enhancement in the utilization efficiency of cathode materials,while with just a slight increase of 0.05 MPa in gas pressure compared with traditional“thick-film”*** work highlights the potential of LA136D as a low-volatile binder for thin-film cathodes and shows the feasibility of manufacturing high-efficiency and high-power TBs through polymer molecule engineering.

The porous hydrophilic nature of concrete structures makes them highly susceptible to chemical attack and bacterial adhesion, and the durability of concrete structures gradually decreases. In this work, a kind of sprayable coating with superhydrophobic and antibacterial properties was developed, which was used for surface engineering of concrete via the hydrophilic property of concrete and capillary action. The treated surface of concrete exhibited significant superhydrophobicity, with a static water contact angle of 162.4°and a sliding angle of 5°.The water absorption values of the treated concrete samples in merged in deionized water and 3.5 wt% Na Cl solution for 7 days were measured as 1.85% and 2.71%, indicating the enhancement of water repellency by 72.03% and 80.11%, respectively. The antibacterial characterization revealed that the superhydrophobic coating enabled significantly reduced adhesion of bacteria, with the antibacterial rates of 84.57 ± 2.5% for E. coli and 90.43 ± 1.6% for S. epidermidis, respectively. The superhydrophobic coating provides hydrophobic protection for porous substrate structures and effectively reduce the corrosion damage of substrate materials, which is of practical significance for improving the durability of concrete structures.

AIM： To evaluate the efficacy and safety of combined anti-vascular endothelial growth factor （VEGF） agents, oral glucocorticoid, and laser photocoagulation therapy for macular edema （ME） secondary to retinal vein occlusion （RVO）. METHODS： This study included 16 eyes of 16 patients with RVO-associated ME. Patients were initially treated with oral prednisone and an intravitreal anti-VEGF agent. Two weeks later, patients underwent standard laser photocoagulation. Best-corrected visual acuity （BCVA）, central retinal thickness （CRT）, and retinal vessel oxygenation were examined over 12mo. RESULTS： Patients received 1.43＋0.81 anti-VEGF injections. Mean baseline and 12-month IogMAR BCVA were 0.96±0.51 （20/178） and 0.31±0.88 （20/40）, respectively, in eyes with central retinal vein occlusion （CRVO）（P〈0.00）, and 1.02±0.45 （201209） and 0.60±0.49 （20/80）, respectively, in eyes with branch retinal vein occlusion （BRVO）（P〈0.00）. At 12mo, CRT had significantly decreased in eyes with CRVO （P〈0.00） and BRVO （P〈0.00）. Venous oxygen saturation had significantly increased in eyes with CRVO （P〈0.00） and BRVO （P〈0.00）. No examined parameters were significantly different between the 2 RVO groups. No serious adverse effects occurred. CONCLUSION： Anti-VEGF, glucocorticoid, and photocoagulation combination therapy improves visual outcome, prolongs therapeutic effect, and reduces the number of intravitreal injections in eyes with RVO- associated ME.

Lens-free holographic microscopy could achieve both improved resolution and field of view(FOV), which has huge potential applications in biomedicine, fluid mechanics and soft matter physics. Unfortunately, due to the limited sensor pixel size, target objects could not be located to a satisfactory level. Recent studies have shown that electromagnetic scattering can be fitted to digital holograms to obtain the 3 D positions of isolated colloidal spheres with nanometer precision and millisecond temporal resolution. Here, we describe a lens-free holographic imaging technique that fits multi-sphere superposition scattering to digital holograms to obtain in situ particle position and model parameters: size and refractive index of colloidal spheres. We show that the proposed method can be utilized to analyze the location and character of colloidal particles under large FOV with high density.

Precipitates play an important role in determining the mechanical and magnetic properties of silicon steel. This paper aims to investigate the growth kinetics of precipitates in commercial silicon steel by analyzing its magnetic properties during isothermal annealing at 200℃. The growth of precipitates was studied by optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, and magnetic measurements. In combination with the coercive field and initial susceptibility, this technique offers the advantage of being non-destructive and providing quantitative information about the number, mean radius of precipitates, and fraction of transformation. An ob- served decrease in the number of precipitated particles indicates that the transformation starts from particles of appreciable initial size.

（1-x）CaTiO3-xNi0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4（0 x 1.0） composite ceramics were synthesized by a conventional solid state reaction *** phase formation,microstructure,and dielectric and magnetic properties were investigated by X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy,precision impedance analysis,and vibrating sample magnetometry,*** results indicate that the composite ceramics are composed of both perovskite phase Ca TiO3 and spinel phase *** maximal relative density for 0.5CaTiO3-xNi0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 composite ceramics reaches 97.8%,as it has been sintered at the temperature of 1260 ℃ for 3 *** constant and loss tangent of（1-x）CaTiO3-xNi0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 composite ceramics show dispersion in the low frequency *** phase transition temperature of the dielectric constant shifts to lower temperatures with the increase of Ni0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 *** phenomenon is attributed to that the phase transition temperature of CaTiO3 is higher than that of *** saturation magnetization of （1-x）CaTiO3-xNi0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 composite ceramics increases with the Ni0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 ferrite content.

In this study,a novel artificial intervertebral disc implant with modified“Bucklicrystal”structure was designed and 3D printed using thermoplastic *** new implant has a unique auxetic structure with building blocks joined“face-to-face”.The accompanied negative Poisson’s ratio enables its excellent energy absorption and stability under *** deformation and load distribution behavior of the implant under various loading conditions(bending,torsion,extension and flexion)has been thoroughly evaluated through finite element *** show that,compared to natural intervertebral disc and conventional 3D implant,our new implant exhibits more effective stress transfer and attenuation under practical loading *** implant’s ability to contract laterally under compression can be potentially used to alleviate the symptoms of lumbar disc ***,the biocompatibility of the implant was assessed in vitro and its ability to restore the physiological function of the disc segment was validated in vivo using an animal model.
