Syngas produced from the gasification of organic feedstocks from biomass is one of the clean and sustainable sources of *** advantages of simple access and renewability of biomass energy can meet the energy needs of temporary power *** study presents a biomass power-generation system for vehicular *** biomass and a free-piston Stirling engine generator(FPSEG)as the primary material and prime mover,respectively,biomass energy is converted into electricity by combusting the syngas to heat the *** and key parameter design for biomass gasification and thermoelectric conversion systems within a power generation system were performed.A porous medium area was constructed using Si-C foam ceramics to obtain an energy-conversion experimental *** effects of bed height,porosity,porous-region diameter,and air-intake conditions on the power-generation performance were investigated,and optimisations were performed for the thermoelectric conversion *** rate of increase during FPSEG power generation first increased and then decreased with increasing bed height,peaking at a bed height of 40 *** increasing porous-region diameter accelerated FPSEG power generation,whereas porosity changes in the porous media did not significantly affect the rate of change during FPSEG power *** increasing air intake,the rate of increase during power generation first increased and then *** maximum change rate and the highest thermoelectric conversion efficiency of the power-generation system occurred at 9.5 m^(3)/h and 6.5 m^(3)/h(~45.1%)air intakes,*** the thermal inertia and combustion structure of the thermoelectric conversion system significantly increased the power-generation rate of the system,with 1.8 W/s being observed at a 9.7 m^(3)/h air intake.

Metal foam promotes the heat transfer of phase change materials(PCMs)in the penalty of reducing the energy storage density of the composite *** this work,the effects of constant porosity(0.96,0.94,0.92,or 0.90)and pore density(PPI)of metal foam on heat transfer of composite PCMs are *** rate could be enhanced by employing with low porosity copper ***,aiming to the right bottom phase changing"dead region",a regionalized enhancement strategy of cascaded metal foams is *** dynamic melting performances of all the composite PCMs are comprehensively *** results reveal that the cascaded configuration is beneficial for *** show that the horizontal strategy enhances melting performance:a maximum of 17.98% reduction in total melting time could be reached when the rear part porosity is 90%.The energy storage density rate could be raised by 5.48%.Besides,the vertical strategy performs with a better average temperature uniformity of 0.441 and brings a lower temperature in the heated *** sum up,the regionalized enhancement of copper foam provides better performance in the phase change *** shows significant potential for solar heat storage and thermal protection.

Objective:To assess the protective effects of trigonelline against spinal cord injury(SCI)in ***:Rats(Sprague-Dawley,male)were randomly assigned to seven groups(n=15 per group):normal,sham,SCI control(1%DMSO),methylprednisolone(30 mg/kg),and trigonelline(50,100,and 200 mg/kg).Rats received respective treatment daily for 28 *** was induced by using a temporary aneurysm ***,biochemical,and histological analyses were performed to investigate the neuroprotective effect of ***:Trigonelline(100 and 200 mg/kg)treatment effectively(P<0.05)mitigated SCI-induced changes in mechano-tactile sensation,allodynia,hyperalgesia,and motor nerve conduction *** notably(P<0.05)downregulated apoptotic(Bax and caspase-3)and inflammatory(COX-Ⅱ)markers,while upregulating Bcl-2 and BDNF mRNA expression in the spinal cord(P<0.05).Furthermore,trigonelline effectively alleviated(P<0.05)SCI-induced alterations in mitochondrial complex levels,resulting in enhanced nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide dehydrogenase,succinate dehydrogenase,redox activity,and cytochrome-C *** examination of spinal cord tissue indicated that trigonelline significantly(P<0.05)ameliorated the histological damage caused by SCI,thereby improving neuronal degeneration,inflammatory cell infiltration,and ***:Trigonelline shows neuroprotective properties in SCI rats by reducing allodynia,hyperalgesia,and inflammation,stabilizing mitochondrial enzyme complexes,and modulating apoptotic and neurotrophic ***,trigonelline holds promise as a potential neuroprotective agent.

Hydroformylation could convert olefins and syngas （mixture of H2and CO） into aldehydes with a great atomic *** transformation serves as one of the most prominent processes in modern chemical industry, as it provides over 10million tons of aldehydes as feedstock for our daily essential products such as plasticizers, paints, solvents, and pharmaceuticals. This process generally requires efficient yet robust catalyst to realize decent efficacy. Compared with metals such as Co, Ru, and Pd, rhodium （Rh）-based catalysts stand out due to its superior activity even under mild reaction conditions, and dominate over 70%of global hydroformylation processes.

Single-crystalline Ni-rich cathodes can provide high energy density and capacity retention rates for lithium-ion batteries（LIBs）.However,single-crystalline Ni-rich cathodes experience severe transition metal dissolution,irreversible phase transitions,and reduced structural stability during prolonged cycling at high voltage,which will significantly hinder their practical ***,a Li4TeO5surface coating along with bulk Te-gradient doping strategy is proposed and developed to solve these issues for single-crystalline Ni-rich LiNi0.90Co0.05Mn0.05O2cathode（LTeO-1.0）.It has been found that the bulk Te6+gradient doping can lead to the formation of robust Te-O bonds that effectively inhibit H2-H3 phase transformations and reinforce the lattice framework,and the in-situ Li4TeO5coating layer can act as a protective layer that suppresses the parasitic reactions and grain ***,the modified material exhibits a higher Young's modulus,which will be conducive to maintaining significant structural and electrochemical stability under high-voltage conditions,Especially,the LTeO-1.0 electrode shows the improved Li+diffusion kinetics and thermodynamic stability as well as high capacity retention of 95.83%and 82.12% after 200 cycles at the cut-off voltage of 4.3 and 4,5 ***,the efficacious dualmodification strategy will definitely contribute to enhancing the structural and electrochemical stability of single-crystalline Ni-rich cathodes and developing their application in LIBs.

Monotonic pore size and particles inseparability of metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)caused serious effects on its light absorption ability and charge separation,restricting its application for antibiotic such as levofloxacin(LEV)degradation in *** this study,a magnetically detachable nano-photocatalyst(ZnFe_(2)O_(4)@MIL-88A(Fe))was synthesized using a simple two-step hydrothermal *** morphology and microstructure analyses showed that n-type ZnFe_(2)O_(4)catalyst particleswere efficiently assembled onto the surface of MIL-88A(Fe)*** activity studies indicated that the ZnFe_(2)O_(4)@MIL-88A(Fe)plus H_(2)O_(2)exhibiting a significantly boosted photo-Fenton activity toward LEV at visible light irradiation,compared to the pure ZnFe_(2)O_(4)and MIL-88A(Fe),the degradation efficiency accordingly reached up to nearly 82%and 25%within 60 *** excellent photocatalytic performance was ascribed to the synergistic effects of the heterogeneous structure of ZnFe_(2)O_(4)and MIL-88A(Fe),whereby the efficient separation of charge carriers in the catalytic system is mutually reinforced with the efficient reduction of Fe^(3+)and Fe^(2+).Meanwhile,the degradationmechanism and intermediates of LEV during the photo-Fenton reaction process were also studied in depth through free radical burst,electron paramagnetic resonance,and mass spectrometry analyses,***,the ZnFe_(2)O_(4)@MIL-88A(Fe)composite catalyst displayed significant stability and ease of separation,indicating potential for the photooxidative degradation of organic pollutants.

To determine the relationship between slabbing failure and the specimen height-to-width(H/W)ratio and to analyze the conditions,characteristics,and mechanism of slabbing failure in the laboratory,uniaxial compression tests were conducted using six groups of granite *** entire failure process was recorded using strain gauges and high-speed *** initiation and propagation of fractures in specimens were identified by analyzing the monitoring results of stress,strain,and acoustic *** experimental results show that changes in the specimen H/W ratio can transform the macro failure *** the H/W ratio is reduced to 0.5,the macro failure mode is dominated by *** load-bearing ability is observed in specimens with slabbing failure,and the slabbing fractures are approximately parallel to the loading ***,the fracture propagation characteristics and acoustic emission signals of slabbing failure specimens show typical tensile failure characteristics,indicating that slabbing failure is essentially a special tensile failure.

Background Progressive oxidative stress easily occurs as a result of a gradual increase in the intensity of maternal metabolism due to rapid foetal development and increased intensity of ***,studies on the effects of processive oxidative stress on nutrient transport in the placenta have received little *** present study was conducted on sows at 85 days of gestation to study the effects of pterostilbene(PTE)on maternal oxidative stress status and placental nutrient *** PTE increased the antioxidant capacity and immunoglobulin content in mothers’blood and milk,reduced the level of inflammatory factors,and improved the nutrient content of *** also reduced sow backfat loss and the number of weak sons,and increased piglet weaning weight and total weaning litter *** subsequently found that PTE enhanced placental glucose and fatty acid transport and further affected glycolipid metabolism by increasing the expression of LAL,PYGM,and Gbe-1,which activated the PI3K phosphorylation ***,PTE addition altered the relative abundance of the Firmicutes,Proteobacteria,Parabacillus,and Bacteroidetes-like RF16 groups in sow *** increased the levels of acetate,propionate,butyrate and isovalerate in the *** These findings reveal that the addition of PTE during pregnancy and lactation mitigates the effects of processive oxidative stress on offspring development by altering maternal microbial and placental nutrient trans-port capacity.
