As a common practice in agricultural system,straw return has been reported to release a large number of trace gases and attractedmuch ***,the role of straw return in toluene emission remains poorly *** this study we measured the emissions of toluene as well as other 50 volatile organic compounds(VOCs)from wheat straw return for 66 days under flooded and non-flooded conditions,*** results showed that substantial toluene was released from the returned wheat straw particularly under flooded condition,and primarily derived from the secondary *** emissions from the returned wheat straw were 36.8 and 8.45 mg C/kg,sharing 28.0%and 8.6%of total VOCs released,and over 90% of toluene emissions occurred between days 24-56 and 0-17 under flooded and non-flooded conditions,*** emission rates of toluene were relatively high but decreased sharply at the beginning 2 days,and then was steady until 24 days under the two moisture *** the initial decrease these rose again to form one“peak emission window”between days 24-56 under flooded condition,while these were still very low and steady until the end under non-flooded *** toluene emission rates significantly positively correlated with microbial biomass C under flooded condition,but negatively associated with bacteria and fungus number,microbial biomass C,and CO_(2) flux under non-flooded condition,suggesting that microorganism might play an important role in toluene emissions from wheat straw return.A rough estimate indicated that straw return might be important for biogenic toluene.

We revisit the γ-ray emission above 300 Me V towards the massive star-forming region of Orion B by adopting14 yr observations with the Fermi Large Area Telescope and utilizing the updated software *** extended γ-ray emission region around Orion B is resolved into two components(region Ⅰ and region Ⅱ).The γ-ray spectrum of region I agrees with the predicted γ-ray spectrum assuming the cosmic ray(CR)density is the same as that of Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer(AMS-02)measured ***γ-ray emissivity of region II appears to be deficit at low energy band(E<3 GeV).Through modeling we find that CR densities exhibit a significant deficit below 20 Ge V,which may be caused by a slow diffusion inside the dense *** is probably caused by an increased magnetic field whose strength increases with the gas density.

We investigate the short-time decoherence of a solid-state qubit under Ohmic noise at optimal operation points. The decoherence is analyzed by maximum norm of the deviation density operator. It is shown that at the temperature T = 3 mK, the loss of the fidelity due to decoherence is much smaller than the DiVincenzo low decoherence criterion, which means that the mode/may be an optimal candidate of qubit for quantum computation.

The Effect of Ecological Factors on the Indexes of Yield Property Equation and Quantitative Analysis

The mechanism of action of ecological factors affecting crop growth and development was complicated. In order to study the relationships between ecological factors and the indexes of yield property equation and determine the main ecological factors affecting yield, using 3-yr field experimental results for different yielding spring maize （Zea mays L.） populations and the relative meteorological observation data in Huadian of Jilin Province in China, and analyzing on the base of the yield property equation （MLAI × D × MNAR × HI = EN × GN × GW）, the main ecological factors were screened, and further mechanisms of action affecting yield were analyzed. Stepwise regression analysis showed that yield was affected mainly by effective accumulated temperature, daily mean minimum temperature, daily mean maximum temperature in July, the ratios of growth days, and the sunshine hour before and after silking. In yield property equation, four indexes of MLAI, growth days, ear number and grain number （total grain number） affected principally yield, the ecological factors affecting predominantly yield were effective accumulated temperature, daily mean temperature, daily mean minimum temperature, daily mean maximum temperature in July, the ratios of growth days, rainfall, accumulated temperature, and sunshine hours before and after silking. Combined with the two analytical methods, it could be deduced that the temperature and the allocated ratios before and after silking of ecological factors were the key factors to achieve high yield. Therefore, appropriate sowing data should be adjusted to achieve the suitable temperature indexes during the whole growth stage and the rational allocated ratios of ecological factors before and after silking.

Ursolic Acid Prevents Retinoic Acid-Induced Bone Loss in Rats

Objective: To examine the effects of ursolic acid(UA) on mitigating retinoic acid(RA)-induced osteoporosis in rats. Methods: Fifty female Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into the control group(n=10) and the osteoporosis group(n=40). The 40 osteoporosis rats were induced by 75 mg/(kg·d) RA once daily for 2 weeks, and then were randomly assigned to vehicle control(model), low-, middle-, and high-dose UA [(UA-L, UA-M, UA-H; 30, 60, 120 mg/(kg·d), respectively] groups(10 rats each). UA were administered once daily to the rats from the 3 rd weeks for up to 4 weeks by gavage. Bone turnover markers [serum alkaline phosphatase(ALP), osteocalcin(OCN), urine deoxypyridinoline(DPD)] and other parameters, including serum calcium(S-Ca), serum phosphorus(S-P), urine calcium(U-Ca), urine phosphorus(U-P), and bone mineral density(BMD) of the femur, 4 th lumbar vertebra and tibia, bone biomechanical properties and trabecular microarchitecture, were measured. Results: The osteoporosis in rats was successfully induced by RA. Compared with the model group, UA-M and UA-H significantly reversed the RA-induced changes in S-P, U-Ca, U-P, ALP, OCN and urine DPD ratio and markedly enhanced the BMD of right femur, 4 th lumbar vertebra and tibia(Pting that UA might be a potential therapeutic of RA-induced acute osteoporosis.

Hydrogen sulfide reduces oxidative stress in Huntington's disease via Nrf2

The pathophysiology of Huntington's disease involves high levels of the neurotoxin quinolinic acid. Quinolinic acid accumulation results in oxidative stress, which leads to neurotoxicity. However, the molecular and cellular mechanisms by which quinolinic acid contributes to Huntington's disease pathology remain unknown. In this study, we established in vitro and in vivo models of Huntington's disease by administering quinolinic acid to the PC12 neuronal cell line and the striatum of mice, respectively. We observed a decrease in the levels of hydrogen sulfide in both PC12 cells and mouse serum, which was accompanied by down-regulation of cystathionine β-synthase, an enzyme responsible for hydrogen sulfide production. However, treatment with NaHS(a hydrogen sulfide donor) increased hydrogen sulfide levels in the neurons and in mouse serum, as well as cystathionine β-synthase expression in the neurons and the mouse striatum, while also improving oxidative imbalance and mitochondrial dysfunction in PC12 cells and the mouse striatum. These beneficial effects correlated with upregulation of nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 expression. Finally, treatment with the nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2inhibitor ML385 reversed the beneficial impact of exogenous hydrogen sulfide on quinolinic acid-induced oxidative stress. Taken together, our findings show that hydrogen sulfide reduces oxidative stress in Huntington's disease by activating nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2,suggesting that hydrogen sulfide is a novel neuroprotective drug candidate for treating patients with Huntington's disease.

Flexible wearable optoelectronic devices fabricated fromorganic–inorganic hybrid perovskites significantly accelerate the developmentof portable energy,biomedicine,and sensing fields,but their poor thermal stabilityhinders further ***,all-inorganic perovskites possessexcellent thermal stability,but black-phase all-inorganic perovskite filmusually requires high-temperature annealing steps,which increases energy consumptionand is not conducive to the fabrication of flexible wearable *** this work,an unprecedented low-temperature fabrication of stable blackphaseCsPbI3perovskite films is demonstrated by the in situ hydrolysis reactionof diphenylphosphinic chloride *** released diphenyl phosphateand chloride ions during the hydrolysis reaction significantly lower the phasetransition temperature and effectively passivate the defects in the perovskitefilms,yielding high-performance photodetectors with a responsivity of 42.1 AW−1 and a detectivity of 1.3×10^(14)***,high-fidelity imageand photoplethysmography sensors are demonstrated based on the fabricated flexible wearable *** work provides a newperspective for the low-temperature fabrication of large-area all-inorganic perovskite flexible optoelectronic devices.

Multivariate statistical analysis for the surface water quality of the Luan River,China

In order to analyze the characteristics of surface water resource quality for the reconstruction of old water treatment plant,multivariate statistical techniques such as cluster analysis and factor analysis were applied to the data of Yuqiao Reservoir-surface water resource of the Luan River,*** results of cluster analysis demonstrate that the months of one year were divided into 3 groups and the characteristic of clusters was agreed with the seasonal characteristics in North *** factors were derived from the complicated set using factor *** 1 included turbidity and chlorophyll,which seemed to be related to the anthropogenic activities;factor 2 included alkaline and hardness,which were related to the natural characteristic of surface water;and factor 3 included Cl and NO2-N affected by mineral and agricultural *** sinusoidal shape of the score plots of the three factors shows that the temporal variations caused by natural and human factors are linked to seasonality.
