Based on the Gross–Pitaevskii equation,we theoretically investigate exciton Bose–Einstein condensation(BEC)in transition metal dichalcogenide monolayers(TMDC-MLs)under in-plane magnetic *** observe that the in-plane magnetic fields exert a strong influence on the exciton BEC wave functions in TMDC-MLs because of the mixing of the bright and dark exciton states via Zeeman *** leads to the brightening of the dark exciton BEC *** competition between the dipole–dipole interactions caused by the long-range Coulomb interaction and the Zeeman effect induced by the in-plane magnetic fields can effectively regulate dark exciton BEC *** findings emphasize the utility of TMD-MLs as platforms for investigating collective phenomenon involving excited states.

Efficacy and Safety of Aspirin for Prevention of Hepatocellular Carcinoma:An Updated Meta-analysis

Prostate cancer （PCa） is one of the most common cancers in the world. Since androgen receptor （AR） signal plays key roles in the PCa progression, targeting androgens via the current androgen deprivation therapy （ADT） is the main therapeutic strategy for advanced PCa. However, most patients who receive ADT, including the second generation anti-androgens enzalutamide （also known as MDV3100） may finally develop the castration （or anti-androgen） resistance after 12-24 months treatment. In the manuscript by Asangani et aL, the authors demonstrated that targeting the amino-terminal bromodomains of BRD4 could preferentially suppress human castration-resistant prostate cancer （CRPC） cell lines. While further studies are required to understand the full impact of their findings, the innovative approach provides a potential novel epigenetic approach for the concerted blockade of oncogenic drivers in CRPC.

Carotenoids are involved in many essential physiological functions and are produced from geranylgeranyl pyrophosphate through synthase,desaturase,and cyclase *** the pea aphid(Acyrthosiphon pisum),the duplication of carotenoid biosynthetic genes,including carotenoid synthases/cyclases(ApCscA-C)and desaturases(ApCdeA-D),through horizontal gene transfer from fungi has been detected,and ApCdeB has known dehydrogenation ***,whether other genes contribute to aphid carotenoid biosynthesis,and its specific regulatory pathway,remains *** the current study,functional analyses of seven genes were performed using heterologous complementation and RNA interference *** bifunctional enzymes ApCscA-C were responsible for the synthase of phytoene,and ApCscC may also have a cyclase ***,ApCdeC,and ApCdeD had diverse dehydrogenation *** catalyzed the enzymatic conversion of phytoene to neurosporene(three-step product),ApCdeC catalyzed the enzymatic conversion of phytoene to ζ-carotene(two-step product),and ApCdeD catalyzed the enzymatic conversion of phytoene to lycopene(four-step product).Silencing of ApCscs reduced the expression levels of ApCdes,and silencing these carotenoid biosynthetic genes reduced the α-,β-,and γ-carotene levels,as well as the total carotenoid *** results suggest that these genes were activated and led to carotenoid biosynthesis in the pea aphid.

Uncovering conserved 3D protein–ligand binding patterns on the basis of functional groups(FGs)shared by a variety of small molecules can greatly expand our knowledge of protein–ligand *** that conserved binding patterns for a few commonly used FGs have been reported in the literature,large-scale identification and evaluation of FG-based 3D binding motifs are still ***,we propose a computational method,Automatic FG-based Three-dimensional Motif Extractor(AFTME),for automatic mapping of 3D motifs to different FGs of a specific *** our method to 233 naturally-occurring ligands,we define 481 FG-binding motifs that are highly conserved across different ligand-binding *** analysis further reveals four main classes of binding motifs corresponding to distinct sets of *** of FG-binding motifs facilitate the binding of proteins to a wide spectrum of ligands with various binding ***,we show that our FG–motif map can be used to nominate FGs that potentially bind to specific drug targets,thus providing useful insights and guidance for rational design of small-molecule drugs.

RETAINED foreign bodies in the urinary tract after surgical or diagnostic procedure, named iatrogenic foreign bodies, are rarely reported, though the estimated incidence was as high as 1/1500 cases.1 Prompt and proper retrieval is required due to potential complications. We report a case of iatrogenic foreign body into the bladder.

The channel state information at transmitter （CSIT） acquisition plays a key role in the multi-input multi-output （MIMO） system, especially for the precoding schemes. However it is unrealizable to acquire perfect CSIT in practice. In this article, an effective and practical dynamic CSIT model is introduced to acquire imperfect channel state information. For practicability, the channel temporal and spatial correlations are considered and the channel estimate and its error covariance are obtained by utilizing the outdated channel state information. Based on the dynamic CSIT mode, closed-form solution of robust Tomlinsion-Harashima precoding （THP） is derived by a Lagrangian approach. Numerical simulations are presented to demonstrate the performance.
