Coral restoration is becoming popular to help restoring degraded coral ***,few studies have tried to monitor the long-term recovery of coral reefs,which makes it diffi cult to assess the performance of the *** monitored the growth of three transplanted Acropora corals and naturally-attached Pocillopora damicornis on artifi cial reefs(ARs)from October 2014 to September 2018 during which there were several attacks of *** show that two staghorn Acropora species had the highest growth rates(11.0–12.1 cm/a),followed by table coral ***(5.6 cm/a)and ***(4.8 cm/a).A linear growth pattern was found for the three Acropora species;the pattern gradually slowed in *** was a strong interspecifi c competition for space among the corals on ARs,and it led to the sharply declined occurrence of slow-growing *** colonies in *** recovery was successful at the Wuzhizhou Island and quickly increased AR ***,the ARs made of metal frames fail to resist the direct attack from a catastrophic ***,concrete and environmentalfriendly materials should be used in future *** study is the fi rst report on long-term monitoring and assessment of coral reef restoration in *** results off er future guide of reef restoration for impaired coral reefs in regions easily aff ected by typhoons.

OBJECTIVE:To study the effects of rutin on serum glucose and lipid levels in hyperglycemic ***:Male Wistar rats were subjected to intraperitoneal streptozotocin injections and a high-sugar,high-fat diet to establish a hyperglycemic and hyperlipidemic *** model was considered to be successfully established in rats with fasting blood sugar(FBS)≥11.1 mmol/*** study included 6 groups with 10 rats each:a blank control group,a model group,a metformin group,and groups on large,medium and small doses of *** groups received intraperitoneal streptozotocin or normal saline for 21 ***,serum lipids,serum insulin,insulin sensitivity index(ISI),and levels of catalase(CAT),glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px),superoxide dismutase(SOD)and malondialdehyde(MDA)levels were evaluated in all *** tissue samples were harvested to observe structural changes in islet ***:Large,medium,and small doses of rutin were associated with significantly reduced FBS(P<0.05),and increased levels of ISI,CAT,GSH-Px and SOD,as well as decreased MDA(P<0.05).Rutin administration was also related with reduced total cholesterol,triglycerides and low density lipoprotein chesterol,as well as increased high density lipoprotein chesterol(P<0.05).Histologic evaluation revealed rutin induced repair of damaged islet ***:In diabetic rat models,rutin can significantly reduce FBS and blood lipids,improve anti-oxidant activity,increase insulin sensitivity,and induce repair of damaged islet cells.

Service function chains(SFC)mapping takes the responsibility for managing virtual network functions(VNFs).In SFC mapping,existing solutions duplicate VNFs with redundant instances to provide high availability in response to ***,as a compromise,these solutions result in high resource consumption due to device *** this paper,we propose a novel method named dynamic backup sharing(DBS)that allows SFCs to dynamically share backups to reduce resource *** formulates the problem of sharing backups among different VNFs as an integer linear programming(ILP).Thereafter,we design a novel online algorithm based on dynamic programming to solve the *** experimental results indicate that DBS outperforms state-ofthe-art works by reducing resource consumption and improving the number of accepted requests.

An innovative,ternary nanocomposite composed of overoxidized poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)(OPEDOT),gold nanoparticles(Au NPs),and electrochemically reduced graphene oxide(ERGO)was prepared on a glassy carbon electrode(GCE)(OPEDOT-Au NPs-ERGO/GCE)through homogeneous chemical reactions and heterogeneous electrochemical *** morphology,composition,and structure of this nanocomposite were characterized by transmission electron microscopy,scanning electron microscopy,X-ray diffraction,and X-ray photoelectron *** electrochemical properties of the OPEDOT-Au NPs-ERGO/GCE were investigated by cyclic voltammetry using potassium ferricyanide and hexaammineruthenium(III)chloride redox probe *** modified electrode shows excellent electro-catalytic activity for dopamine(DA)and uric acid(UA)under physiological p H conditions,but inhibits the oxidation of ascorbic acid(AA).Linear voltammetric responses were obtained when DA concentrations of approximately 4.0-100μM and UA concentrations of approximately 20-100μM were *** detection limits(S/N=3)for DA and UA were 1.0 and 5.0μM,respectively,under physiological conditions and in the presence of 1.0 m M of *** developed method was applied to the simultaneous detection of DA and UA in human urine,where satisfactory recoveries from 96.7%to 105.0%were *** work demonstrates that the developed OPEDOT-Au NPs-ERGO ternary nanocomposite,with its excellent ion-selectivity and electro-catalytic activity,is a promising candidate for the simultaneous detection of DA and UA in the presence of AA in physiological and pathological studies.

We report a simultaneous observation of two band electromagnetic ion cyclotron(EMIC)waves and toroidal Alfvén waves by the Van Allen Probe *** wave frequency analyses,the mass densityρis found to be locally peaked at the magnetic *** fluxes of ions(<100 eV)increase simultaneously with the appearances of EMIC waves,indicating a heating of these ions by EMIC *** addition,the measured ion distributions also support the equatorial peak formation,which accords with the result of the frequency *** formation of local mass density peaks at the equator should be due to enhancements of equatorial ion concentrations,which are triggered by EMIC waves’perpendicular heating on low energy ions.

High Fischer ratio oligopeptides(HFOPs)have a variety of physiological activities,but there are few literatures reporting the hepatoprotective effects of HFOPs against acetaminophen(APAP)-induced liver *** ob-jectives of this study were to establish the preparation process of HFOPs from hard-shelled mussel(Mytilus coruscus)(HFOPs-HM)and investigate the hepatoprotective effects and potential mechanisms of HFOPs-HM against APAP-induced liver injury in ***,trypsin and papain were selected as the endo and exog-enous proteases for preparing HFOPs-HM according to the degree of hydrolysis(DH)of hard-shelled mussel hydrolysates,and activated carbon of XHJ-200 displayed the best effect to remove aromatic amino acids ac-cording to the Fischer ratio(OD220/OD280)and its parameters were optimized as adsorption time of 3.0 h and solid-liquid ratio of 1:*** HFOPs-HM’s Fischer ratio and average molecular weight were 26.03(>20)and 878.54 Da,***,a mice model of liver injury induced by APAP was ***-HM could significantly improve liver index and histopathological features,decrease the serum alanine aminotrans-ferase(ALT)and aspartate transaminase(AST)activities,increase the glutathione content and superoxide dis-mutase(SOD)and catalase(CAT)*** research demonstrated that HFOPs-HM could alleviate liver oxidative stress in liver tissue via activating the Nrf2 pathway to initiate the intracellular antioxidant enzyme *** addition,HFOPs-HM also suppressed liver inflammation by downregulating the secretion of TNF-α,IL-1β,and ***,HFOPs-HM could serve as an auxiliary functional dietary molecule applied in function products to alleviate drug-induced liver injury.
