We present a local density functional calculation of the effect of an external electric field on the work function change of Pd and Ag adsorption on an Al(001)*** adsorption of K has also been considered for *** found that the work functions for all the systems increased linearly when the strength of external electric field was *** the polarized electrons at the interstitial regions between the adsorbate and substrate for Pd/Al(001)and Ag/Al(001)react to the external electric field differently,the subtle differences between Pd/Al(001)and Ag/Al(001)bondings has been characterized through the comparison of slopes of the work function change versus electric field.

Currently,decarbonization has become an emerging trend in the power system ***,the increasing number of photovoltaic units distributed into a distribution network may result in voltage issues,providing challenges for voltage regulation across a large-scale power grid *** learning based intelligent control of smart inverters and other smart building energy management(EM)systems can be leveraged to alleviate these *** achieve the best EM strategy for building microgrids in a power system,this paper presents two large-scale multi-agent strategy evaluation methods to preserve building occupants’comfort while pursuing systemlevel *** EM problem is formulated as a general-sum game to optimize the benefits at both the system and building ***α-rank algorithm can solve the general-sum game and guarantee the ranking theoretically,but it is limited by the interaction complexity and hardly applies to the practical power system.A new evaluation algorithm(TcEval)is proposed by practically scaling theα-rank algorithm through a tensor complement to reduce the interaction ***,considering the noise prevalent in practice,a noise processing model with domain knowledge is built to calculate the strategy payoffs,and thus the TcEval-AS algorithm is proposed when noise *** evaluation algorithms developed in this paper greatly reduce the interaction complexity compared with existing approaches,including ResponseGraphUCB(RG-UCB)andαInformationGain(α-IG).Finally,the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms is verified in the EM case with realistic data.

Confronted with severe electromagnetic wave pollution,the development of high-performance electromagnetic wave shielding or absorbing materials is an effective way to deal with ***,double transition metal alloys and transition metal dichalcogenides have attracted extensive attention in electromagnetic wave absorption,but few reports have studied the effects of these two materials on electromagnetic wave absorption at the same *** this work,cobalt-based alloy with magnetic loss mechanism was selected for composition *** ternary metal-organic framework was prepared by the one-step method,and then CoCu/C was prepared by high temperature ***,in the hydrothermal process,ultra-thin tungsten selenide nanosheets were coated on the surface of magnetic component,and the final polyhedral WSe_(2)/CoCu/C composites with multiple heterogeneous interfaces were *** synergistic effect of dielectric and magnetic components optimizes impedance matching and allows more electromagnetic waves to enter the ***,through the conduction loss of high conductivity graphitized carbon,interfacial polarization,and dipole polarization of heterogeneous interfaces between the components,the magnetic loss provided by CoCu alloy can work together to maximize the attenuation ability of electromagnetic ***,the minimum reflection loss(RLmin)value of the composite reaches-53.43 dB when the matched thickness is 2.1 mm,while the maximum effective absorption bandwidth(EABmax)reaches 6.0 GHz at a thin thickness of 1.8 *** work provides some support and reference for the design of novel electromagnetic wave absorbing materials via the dielectric/magnetic loss synergistic mechanism.

Light-driven nitrogen fixation to produce ammonia is a green and economical technology of nitrogen reduction but is still quite challenging, especially in an air atmosphere without any sacrificial ***, we demonstrate efficient photocatalytic nitrogen fixation using water and air directly by loading lanthanide–transition metal(4f–3d) cluster NdCo_(3) on two-dimensional P-doped graphitic carbon nitrides(PCN) material surface. Benefiting from the increase in the number of nitrogen vacancies(NVs) and highly matched band gap structure and excellent hole trapping ability of clusters, the NdCo_(3)/PCN photocatalyst exhibits efficient nitrogen reduction activity with 371(in air) and 825 μmol h^(-1)g^(-1)(in pure nitrogen)without any sacrificial reagents. The introduction of potassium sulfate inhibits hydrogen production and promotes nitrogen reduction activation. This work suggests that anchoring precisely structured clusters on 2D materials may enhance photocatalytic nitrogen reduction under normal temperature and pressure.

Like other silver complexes, Ag （ I ） in the center of the complex is 4-coordinat-ed. Formic acid anion also acts as a bidentate ligand in this complex beside two triph-enylphosphine groups.

Hundreds of C60 derivatives stand out as electrontransporting materials(ETMs), for example, in perovskite solar cells(PSCs), due to their properties on electron extraction or defect passivation. However, it still lacks of guidelines to update C60-based ETMs with excellent photoelectric properties. In this work, crystallographic data of eight C60-based ETMs, including pristine C60 and the well-known PCBM as well as six newly synthesized fullerenes, are analyzed to establish the connections between derivatized structures and photoelectric properties for the typical carbon cluster of C60. In terms of packing centroid-centroid distance between neighboring carbon cages, the crystallographic data are useful for probing photoelectric properties, such as electrochemical properties, electron mobility and photovoltaic performances, and therefore facilitate to design novel C60-based ETMs for PSCs with high performances.

Molecular solid solutions of metal clusters containing different metal centers with well-defined structures can accurately regulate the HOMO-LUMO gap,but are rarely ***,a series of colorless lanthanide-titanium-oxo clusters Ln_(2)Ti_4(μ_(2)-O)_(2)(μ_(3)-O)_4(Piv)_(10)(THF)_(2)(Ln_(2)Ti_4,Ln = Eu,Gd,Tb,and Ce,HPiv = pivalic acid) were synthesized by the reaction of pivalic acid with Ln(Ac)_(3) and titanium *** light yellow crystal of cluster solid solutions Eu_(2)Ti_(4-x)Cd_(x),containing a mixture of Eu_(2)Ti_4 and Eu_(2)Ti_(3)Cd,was obtained by in situ doping Cd^(2+) and S^(2–).Eu_(2)Ti_(3.92)Cd_(0.08) displays efficient photocatalytic hydrogen evolution activity without a co-catalyst,which is up to 2.6 times that of Eu_(2)Ti_*** time-resolved transient absorption spectroscopy and spin-polarized density functional calculations showed that the enhanced photocatalytic performance of Eu_(2)Ti_(4-x)Cd_(x) can be attributed to the narrower HOMO-LUMO gap and lower LUMO position than that of Eu_(2)Ti_*** studyprovides an in situ doping method to realize the simple preparation of cluster solid solution.

Pitting is a common type of localized corrosion in passive alloys that can cause rapid failure of material or *** the case of stainless steels,non-metallic inclusions have been identified as the most susceptible sites for pitting,and have therefore garnered significant *** review critically ex-amines the issue of how inclusions induce pitting,with a particular focus on three mechanisms:sponta-neous dissolution of inclusions,active dissolution of Cr-depleted regions,and propagation of microcracks at the inclusion-matrix *** researchers have made significant strides in understanding these mechanisms over the past few decades,many gaps and controversies *** such as the ini-tial driving force of inclusion dissolution and factors affecting Cr-depleted regions require further ***,some old concepts and methods need to be revised to arrive at more credible *** review aims to delve deeply into these important issues and provide inspiration for future research.
