Inflammasomes are large protein complexes that play a major role in sensing inflammatory signals and triggering the innate immune *** inflammasome complex has three major components:an upstream sensor molecule that is connected to a downstream effector protein such as caspase-1 through the adapter protein *** formation typically occurs in response to infectious agents or cellular *** active inflammasome then triggers caspase-1 activation,followed by the secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines and pyroptotic cell *** inflammasome activation and activity contribute to the development of diabetes,cancer,and several cardiovascular and neurodegenerative *** a result,recent research has increasingly focused on investigating the mechanisms that regulate inflammasome assembly and activation,as well as the potential of targeting inflammasomes to treat various *** clinical trials are currently underway to evaluate the therapeutic potential of several distinct inflammasome-targeting ***,understanding how different inflammasomes contribute to disease pathology may have significant implications for developing novel therapeutic *** this article,we provide a summary of the biological and pathological roles of inflammasomes in health and *** also highlight key evidence that suggests targeting inflammasomes could be a novel strategy for developing new disease-modifying therapies that may be effective in several conditions.

Benefiting from the development of Federated Learning(FL)and distributed communication systems,large-scale intelligent applications become *** devices not only provide adequate training data,but also cause privacy leakage and energy *** to optimize the energy consumption in distributed communication systems,while ensuring the privacy of users and model accuracy,has become an urgent *** this paper,we define the FL as a 3-layer architecture including users,agents and *** order to find a balance among model training accuracy,privacy-preserving effect,and energy consumption,we design the training process of FL as game *** use an extensive game tree to analyze the key elements that influence the players’decisions in the single game,and then find the incentive mechanism that meet the social norms through the repeated *** experimental results show that the Nash equilibrium we obtained satisfies the laws of reality,and the proposed incentive mechanism can also promote users to submit high-quality data in *** the multiple rounds of play,the incentive mechanism can help all players find the optimal strategies for energy,privacy,and accuracy of FL in distributed communication systems.

Reactive power optimization of distribution networks is traditionally addressed by physical model based methods,which often lead to locally optimal solutions and require heavy online inference time *** improve the quality of the solution and reduce the inference time burden,this paper proposes a new graph attention networks based method to directly map the complex nonlinear relationship between graphs(topology and power loads)and reactive power scheduling schemes of distribution networks,from a data-driven *** graph attention network is tailored specifically to this problem and incorporates several innovative features such as a self-loop in the adjacency matrix,a customized loss function,and the use of max-pooling ***,a rulebased strategy is proposed to adjust infeasible solutions that violate *** results on multiple distribution networks demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms other machine learning based methods in terms of the solution quality and robustness to varying load ***,its online inference time is significantly faster than traditional physical model based methods,particularly for large-scale distribution networks.

Robust Reactive Power Scheduling of Distribution Networks Based on Modified Bootstrap Technique

The uncertainties of the power load,wind power,and photovoltaic power lead to errors between point prediction values and real values,which challenges the safe operation of distribution *** this paper,a robust reactive power scheduling(RRPS)model based on a modified bootstrap technique is proposed to consider the uncertainties of power loads and renewable energy ***,a deterministic reactive power scheduling(DRPS)model and an RRPS model are ***,a modified bootstrap technique is proposed to estimate prediction errors of power loads and renewable energy sources without artificially assuming the probability density function of prediction *** represent all possible scenarios,point prediction values and prediction errors are combined to construct two worst-case scenarios in the RRPS ***,the RRPS model is solved to find a scheduling scheme,which ensures the security of distribution networks for all possible scenarios in *** results show that the worst-case scenarios constructed by the modified bootstrap technique outperform popular ***,the RRPS model based on the modified bootstrap technique balances economics and security well.

BACKGROUND:The molecular mechanism of sepsis-associated acute kidney injury(SA-AKI)is *** analyzed co-differentially expressed genes(co-DEGs)to elucidate the underlying mechanism and intervention targets of ***:The microarray datasets GSE65682,GSE30718,and GSE174220 were downloaded from the Gene Expression Omnibus(GEO)*** identified the co-DEGs and constructed a gene co-expression network to screen the hub *** analyzed immune correlations and disease correlations and performed functional annotation of the hub *** also performed single-cell and microenvironment analyses and investigated the enrichment pathways and the main transcription ***,we conducted a correlation analysis to evaluate the role of the hub ***:Interleukin 32(IL32)was identified as the hub gene in SA-AKI,and the main enriched signaling pathways were associated with hemopoiesis,cellular response to cytokine stimulus,inflammatory response,and regulation of kidney ***,IL32 was significantly associated with mortality in SA-AKI ***,macrophages,T cells,and NK cells were closely related to IL32 and were involved in the immune microenvironment in SA-AKI ***32 expression increased significantly in the kidney of septic ***-like receptor 2(TLR2)was significantly and negatively correlated with ***:IL32 is the key gene involved in SA-AKI and is significantly associated with ***2 and relevant immune cells are closely related to key genes.

Investigating effect of coke porosity on blast furnace performance based on multi-physical fields

Reducing coke use is an effective measure to reduce carbon emission and energy consumption in the blast furnace(BF)***,BF is a high-temperature moving bed reactor,where complex physical transformations coupled with complicated reactions *** makes it challenging to investigate the factors determining BF performance with the conventional method.A multi-physical field coupling mathematical model of BF was thus developed to describe its mass and heat transfer as well as its intrinsic ***,the proposed model was validated with the production *** coupling conditions,influences of dominating reactions on BF performance(temperature distribution,gas distribution,iron formation reaction,and direct reduction degree)were *** results indicated that coke combustion,indirect reduction,and direct reduction of iron ore mainly took place nearby the shaft tuyere,cohesive zone,and dripping zone,***,the rate of coke solution loss reaction was increased with the rising coke porosity in the cohesive *** the effect of coke porosity on the efficiency and stability of BF,the coke porosity of 0.42 was regarded as a reasonable value.

Chinese Adaptation and Psychometric Properties of the Belief in a Just World Scale for College Students

This study aims to revise the Belief in a Just World Scale(BJWS)for Chinese college students and test its reliability and validity(construct validity,convergent and divergent validity).Two samples of 546 and 595 college students were selected,respectively,using stratified cluster random *** analysis,exploratory factor analysis(EFA),confirmatory factor analysis(CFA),reliability analysis and convergent and divergent validity tests were carried *** results showed that the 13 items of the BJWS have good item *** corrected item–total correlation in the general belief in a just world subscale was found to range from 0.464 to 0.655,and that in the personal belief in a just world subscale was 0.553 to *** internal consistency coefficients of the revised version of the BJWS and its subscales are *** EFA and CFA results show that the structure and items of the revised scale are the same as those of the original *** in a just world was found to have significant positive correlations with gratitude and empathy,and has a significant negative correlation with anxiety,thereby exhibiting good convergent and divergent ***,the Chinese revised version of the BJWS has good reliability and validity.

Head-to-head comparison of PSMA PET/CT and mpMRI for detecting biochemical recurrence of prostate cancer: A systematic review and meta-analysis

Objectives This study aimed to evaluate the performance of prostate-specific membrane antigen positron emission tomography/computed tomography(PSMA PET/CT)in comparison to multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging(mpMRI)for detecting biochemical recurrence of prostate cancer(PCa).Materials and methods We conducted a comprehensive search for articles published in PubMed,Web of Science,Embase,and the Cochrane Library,spanning the inception of the database until October 26,2022,which included head-to-head comparisons of PSMA PET/CT and mpMRI for assessing the biochemical recurrence of *** A total of 5 studies including 228 patients were *** overall positivity rates of PSMA PET/CT and mpMRI for detecting biochemical recurrence of PCa after final treatment were 0.68(95%confidence interval[CI],0.52–0.89)and 0.56(95%CI,0.36–0.88),*** positivity rates of PSMA PET/CT and mpMRI for detecting local recurrence,lymph node metastasis,and bone metastases were 0.37(95%CI,0.30–0.47)and 0.38(95%CI,0.22–0.67),0.44(95%CI,0.35–0.56)and 0.25(95%CI,0.17–0.35),and 0.19(95%CI,0.11–0.31)and 0.12(95%CI,0.05–0.25),*** with mpMRI,PSMA PET/CT exhibited a higher positivity rate for detecting biochemical recurrence and lymph node metastases,and no significant difference in the positivity rate of local recurrence was observed between these 2 imaging *** Compared with mpMRI,PSMA PET/CT appears to have a higher positivity rate for detecting biochemical recurrence of *** both imaging methods showed similar positivity rates of detecting local recurrence,PSMA PET/CT outperformed PSMA PET/CT in detecting lymph node involvement and overall recurrence.

Fibre-reinforced polymer(FRP)/rigid polyurethane foam(RPUF)interface is susceptible to moisture intrusion in addition to natural ageing during *** study investigated the influence of moisture intrusion on the FRP/RPUF interface under natural ageing using experiments and molecular dynamics(MD)*** absorption,shear strength,and leakage current tests were used to clarify the changes in the interface *** degradation mechanism of moisture intrusion at the interface under natural ageing was revealed by MD simulation and *** results show that the natural ageing of interfacial materials will slightly reduce the quality of the interface but will reduce the water resistance of the material and promote the process of water intrusion into the *** addition,water mainly invades the interface through *** water penetration,the interfacial bonding strength and insulation performance significantly *** and hydrolysis of interfacial materials are the main reasons for decreased interfacial *** can cause irreversible damage to the interface,increasing interface defects and water *** vicious cycle of material hydrolysis is the ultimate cause of interfacial *** polar molecules produced by this process and the water absorbed by the interface caused the degradation of the interface insulation performance.

A Temporal Convolutional Network Based Hybrid Model for Short-term Electricity Price Forecasting

Electricity prices have complex features,such as high frequency,multiple seasonality,and *** factors will make the prediction of electricity prices ***,accurate electricity price prediction is important for energy producers and consumers to develop bidding *** improve the accuracy of prediction by using each algorithms’advantages,this paper proposes a hybrid model that uses the Empirical Mode Decomposition(EMD),Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average(ARIMA),and Temporal Convolutional Network(TCN).EMD is used to decompose the electricity prices into low and high frequency *** frequency components are forecasted by the ARIMA model and the high frequency series are predicted by the TCN *** results using the realistic electricity price data from Pennsylvania-New Jersey-Maryland(PJM)electricity markets show that the proposed method has a higher prediction accuracy than other single methods and hybrid methods.
