Uniform heating of complex surfaces,especially non-developable surfaces,is a crucial problem that traditional rigid heaters cannot *** by flexible electronic devices,a novel design for the stretchable heating film is proposed with the flexible serpentine wire embedded in the soft polymer film,which can be attached to non-developable surfaces *** provides a new way for the stretchable heaters to realize uniform heating of complex ***,the thermal field of flexible serpentine heaters(FSHs)depends on the configurations of the embedded serpentine heating wire,which requires accurate theoretical prediction of real-time temperature ***,the analytical model for the transient heat conduction in FSHs is solved by the separation of variables method and validated by the finite element analysis(FEA)in this *** on this model,the effects of the geometric parameters,such as the radius and the length of the serpentine heaters,on the thermal uniformity are systematically *** study can help to design and fabricate flexible heaters with uniform heating in the future.

Let G be a finite group with a non-central Sylow r-subgroup R, Z（G） the center of G, and N a normal subgroup of G. The purpose of this paper is to determine the structure of N under the hypotheses that N contains R and the G-conjugacy class size of every element of N is either i or m. Particularly, it is shown that N is Abelian if N ∩ Z（G）=1 and the G-conjugacy class size of every element of N is either 1 or m.

An analytical method,called the symplectic mathematical method,is proposed to study the wave propagation in a spring-mass chain with gradient arranged local resonators and nonlinear ground *** with the linearized perturbation approach,the symplectic transform matrix for a unit cell of the weakly nonlinear graded metamaterial is derived,which only relies on the state *** results of the dispersion relation obtained with the symplectic mathematical method agree well with those achieved by the Bloch *** is shown that wider and lower frequency bandgaps are formed when the hardening nonlinearity and incident wave intensity ***,the displacement response and transmission performance of nonlinear graded metamaterials with finite length are *** dual tunable effects of nonlinearity and gradation on the wave propagation are explored under different excitation *** small excitation frequencies,the gradient parameter plays a dominant role compared with the *** reason is that the gradient tuning aims at the gradient arrangement of local resonators,which is limited by the critical value of the local resonator *** contrast,for larger excitation frequencies,the hardening nonlinearity is dominant and will contribute to the formation of a new bandgap.

Preparation of Triethylene Glycol Maleate and Its Effect on Plasticization of Oxidized Starch

A plasticizer triethylene glycol maleate（TEG-MA） was synthesized. The dominated monoester of moderate hydrophobicity with apparent oil-water partition coefficient of 0.042 in the product was confirmed by acid value determination, HPLC and FTIR. Its plasticizing effect on oxidized starch was manifested by crystallization, aging behaviour, moisture absorption, and mechanical performance. X-ray diffraction data showed that the relative crystallinity of the plasticized starch decreased. Both the crystal and the crystallinity of starch films were rarely changed in aging. Moisture absorption relied on the ester content and relative humidity. The elongation at break increased significantly with plasticizer content more than 10% in the matrix.

To predict the wave loads of a flexible trimaran in different wave fields,a one-way interaction numerical simulation method is proposed by integrating the fluid solver(Star-CCM+)and structural solver(Abaqus).Differing from the existing coupled CFD-FEA method for monohull ships in head waves,the presented method equates the mass and stiffness of the whole ship to the hull shell so that any transverse and longitudinal section stress of the hull in oblique waves can be ***,verification study and sensitivity analysis are carried out by comparing the trimaran motions using different mesh sizes and time step *** on the wave elevation of uni-and bi-directional waves is also carried *** a comprehensive analysis on the structural responses of the trimaran in different uni-directional regular wave and bi-directional cross sea conditions is carried out,***,the differences in structural response characteristics of trimaran in different wave fields are *** results show that the present method can reduce the computational burden of the two-way fluid-structure interaction simulations.

Two fluorescence "turn-on" Zn^(2+) probes were developed by introducing an anthracenyl fluorophore through the linkage of a diphenylamino moiety at the 5-position of a dipyrrin ***,two compounds with weak fluorescence were designed,synthesized,and employed as CHEF(chelation enhanced fluorescence) type fluorescence "turn-on" Zn^(2+) probes,which exhibit dramatic fluorescence enhancement upon addition of Zn^(2+),showing high sensitivities and impressive detection limits of 13 and12 nM,respectively,better than their analogues containing simple aryl substituents at the 5 positions of a di-or tripyrrin *** addition,both of the probes exhibit good selectivity,short response time of less than 10 s and wide applicable pH ***,the weak fluorescence nature of the probes was rationalized based on viscosity dependence measurements and theoretical *** results provide further insight into the development of selective and sensitive zinc probes.
